@Tiffkaboo

Ooooo does this mean we get to meet the hatchlings' mother soon??? I'm so worried for Blossom being separated, but at least she seems to have found someone that she knows?

Hopefully she can connect with the others later.

Was she dreaming? Standing in the doorway was her mother, a regal looking Imperial with identical markings, but a rosy pink coloring. She looked exactly the same as she did when the hatchling had seen her a few weeks prior. "Mama?" she repeated, her voice cracking slightly with tears in her eyes. Her mother smiled and stepped further into the hut, her long body nearly filling the room. "Blossom," she said, her voice as smooth as silk as she gazed lovingly at her daughter, a smile curling her lips. Blossom choked back a sob as she ran to embrace her. "Mama, I've missed you so much! I'm so sorry we wandered off!" She buried her face in her mother's chest scales, her aroma filling her nostrils. Blossom smiled at the familiar scent. She always smelled of vanilla. Her mother put her paw on her hatchling's back and held her. "My dear, I've missed you too." She planted a kiss on her daughter's head. "Blossom, look at me." This time when she spoke, her voice was different. It sounded like it was coming from far away. Blossom looked at her mother’s face, a saddened look had replaced her happy one. “Mama? What’s wrong?” She clutched her mother’s scales and cried. “Mama, I’m here!” The large Imperial wrapped her neck around her daughter, their noses touching as she whispered softly. “You have to go back, my love.” Her eyes were closed as she nuzzled her daughter. “Blossom, we will meet again, but not now. I love you.” Blossom opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. She started coughing, her mother and the room fading to black. Her eyes flew open and she gasped, her lungs filling with air. She felt a paw patting her back and turned to find Wilde and Reginald standing above her, worried expressions plastered on their faces. He carried you inside and we got you some water.” He was rambling, but no one bothered to stop him. “It doesn’t look like much, but it kept you out of the sun.” He laughed. “And mama? Did you see her?” Reginald stopped talking and exchanged glances with Wilde. “Blossom, you passed out. You were dreaming.” “I was NOT dreaming,” she growled, sitting up slightly. “She was here! I saw her!” She started coughing again and Wilde offered her more water. “Blossom,” he waited until she turned to look at him. “Ya passed out, ya were hallucinating. Ya do that when you’re dehydrated.” He looked at her with a frown. “I’m sorry.” Blossom eyes welled with tears. “I-I miss her.” she sniffled and cried into her paws. Wilde put his arm around her, his heart breaking as he listened to the small Imperial cry. "We'll rest the rest of the day and head out at nightfall," he said softly. "It'll be easier on all of us." He was more determined than ever to help the two hatchling's get home. No matter what. She hadn't said a word all day after she awoke, and her companions worried. "Wilde," Reginald mumbled to the Wildclaw who walked beside him. He continued when he had turned to look at him. "Is Blossom gonna be okay?" His tone of voice was saddened as he tried to keep from crying. "She hasn't said a word since she woke up." Wilde looked ahead of them. He thought he saw lights, but he wasn't positive. "I don' know, Reginald. Ya sister..." he trailed off, unsure how to finish his thought. Of course she was depressed. She reunited with her mother, only to find out it was a dream. Anyone would feel like she did. "She's gon' be fine with time, Reginald. She just needs time." He managed a smile, but even he didn't totally believe what he just said. If they find their parents, of course, but that was a huge if. Reginald nodded. "Yeah." He was quiet for a few moments before sticking his nose in the air and sniffing. "Do you smell...grilled meat?" Wilde sniffed the air and nodded. "We've got to be close now." He turned to Blossom who was lagging behind, her head low. He slowed down until he was beside her. "Blossom, we're almost to town." He smiled. "There's food and we can ask about ya parents." Blossom looked at him and nodded, but didn't speak. Wilde was getting annoyed. "Blossom, look at me," he said sternly. When she didn't, he stopped and took her head in his hands. "Blossom, I've had enough of ya pouting. So quit it." Her eyes widened at his sudden harsh tone. "Bu-" "No buts," he growled. "We're gonna find them. Ya ma wouldn't like seeing ya like this, ya know." His voice had softened a bit as he watched the expression on her face change from shock to acceptance. "She won't give up, so neither should ya." Blossom nodded. "Thank you, Wilde." she smiled, her voice barely above a whisper. Reginald nuzzled his sister's cheek. "Come on! The smell of food is killing me!" He yelled, bounding off towards the smell. "That's nothing new!" Blossom laughed as she and Wilde followed the male Imperial. About an hour later, the three dragons had reached a small but bustling desert village. Most of the buildings were small huts, but there were a few larger buildings nestled in the center. There were hundreds of lanterns lit around them, making it seem as if it was actually daytime, instead of the middle of the night. Many breeds of dragons were selling their wares, either from inside a hut or a makeshift stand. Blossom's eyes were wide as she looked around. "Wilde, I think I remember this place." He and Reginald turned to look at her and spoke at the exact same time. "You do?" Blossom turned to her brother. "Don't you remember? A few weeks ago, just before we got separated from them?" He shook his head. "We came here with our parents and our other two brothers." Blossom started to explain. "We were looking for something." Wilde watched her, his head tilted slightly. "Looking for what?" he asked. She shook her head. "I can't recall." she said, a defeated look on her face. "But that doesn't matter. This is the last place I remember being." She looked around. "We were staying in a small hut for the ni-" "I remember!" Reginald shouted. "Mama was looking for silk!" Blossom's face lit up. "That's right! The silk spool!" She looked around again, spotting a small Fae dragon selling spools of silk. "There!" she ran over, her two companions not far behind. Blossom's excitement and large size caused the Fae to freak out as she approached at full speed. Her crest stood on end as she flitted into the air, letting out a high pitched squeak. "Please! Take anything you want! Just don't eat me!" The tiny dragon grabbed a lantern that hung from her stand, holding on tightly. She wrapped her tail around the string and shivered as it swung back and forth. "I swear! I don't taste good! I'm just skin and bones!" Blossom looked confused for a moment before Wilde stepped up, offering his hand for the Fae to land on. "Ma'am, my name is Wilde and my two companions are Blossom and Reginald." he stated in the same soft voice Blossom had heard him use when he promised to help find her parents. "We didn't mean to frighten ya, we're very sorry." The Fae causiously sat on Wilde's outstretched hand. "It's alright my dears," she replied, obviously thankful they weren't going to eat her. "My name is BloodMoon, how may I help you?" She flitted back to her previous spot as she continued to spin silk onto a stick slightly taller than herself. Blossom causiously stepped forward as to not frighten her again. "BloodMoon," she started. The smaller dragon smiled at her. "Please, dear, call me BM. It's much easier." She laughed. Blossom nodded and continued. "BM, do you remember me?" BloodMoon stopped spinning her spool and turned to the Imperial. "My dear, I see a lot of dragons. It'd be impossible to remember a single dragon, especially for a dragon of my age." She smiled. "Though, you look familiar." Blossom's eyes lit up. "Really? Do you remember my mother? Sakura?" The small Fae thought a moment as her hands worked to spin her silk. The more time that past, Blossom began to worry the Fae had forgotten about them. Just as she was about to speak to repeat the question, the Fae nodded her head. "I believe I do. You were here with her a few weeks ago with your family. I had been wondering what happened to you two. Your mother looked shaken the last time I saw her." Reginald finally spoke. "When was the last time you saw her?" He was trying his best not to get too excited. Just because this old Fae had seen her, didn't mean their mother was still in the village. The Fae's big eyes looked like they were smiling. "Yesterday." Aw, that's frustrating. 'Course, they can't find their parents this soon into the story (right?), but I feel bad for the little fellas.

BloodMoon seems a little shifty, have to admit. Hopefully she's telling the truth about her most recent sighting. ^^

Very frustrating.

She does seem a little shifty, now that you mention it. LOL. I'm not sure if that was totally my intention or my lack of sleep.
