Everyone knows one of the best ways to lure in animals is by providing their favorite foods - and cryptids are no different! This week, help us make a tantalizing spread so that we can catch a glimpse of the elusive beasts that lurk deep within the Shrieking Wilds.

This is a REAL LIFE cooking contest, so be careful, especially around knives and hot things. We don't want anyone getting hurt. If you have unsteady hands, consider making a dish that doesn't require as much preparation. Likewise, if you have a food allergy, don't jeopardize your safety just to make something cool.

Perhaps a primitive cousin of Wildclaws, this creature was long ago blamed for eggs that never hatched - one old dragon we spoke to was convinced that it visited nests in the night and slowly sucked the life out of the eggs. Scary stuff! Nowadays, of course, we know that's nonsense. But we'd still like to see one - maybe bird eggs, fish, or meat will work.

Post in this thread with a photograph of your dish. Have a piece of paper in the photo with your username/ID# and "GG 2018" or "Cryptozoology".
You don't have to ping me, I'm subscribed!
Entries will be judged on three criteria: creativity, presentation (appearance), and accuracy to the theme (Greenskeeper Gathering/Cryptozoology), including how likely the dish is to lure in the desired beastie!
You may enter each category once. You may not use the same dish for multiple categories.
Comment on other chefs' entries! Part of the fun of cooking is sharing your creations, and you're more likely to get critiques of your entry if you analyze others' dishes too.

The real prize is getting to see these fantastic beasts... but that won't keep us at the Lodge from expressing our adoration for your methods!
In addition to the four main categories' prize packs below, mini [non-cooking] challenges may pop up now and again throughout the week. These will be indicated with a double footprint symbol ( ), and will only be open for 24 hours. The best way to get a jump on these is to check this thread often, or subscribe to it!

Please add me to the ping list :) I wasn’t sure if I would have time to participate this year since this week is going to be very busy, but the theme is too adorable.
