"Well, well, well. Come in, come in. Don't stand in the doorway all clumped together like a bunch of lemmings who can't commit. Come in and take a seat. I see some familiar faces. Good. Good."

He pauses for a few moments while great variety of dragons shuffle into the huge coliseum classroom. It's bewitched so that the professor can speak in a normal voice and every dragon will be able to hear him in a normal conversational tone no matter how far spread out they are. And spread out indeed, as there are rows of the tiniest faes, many mid-sized skydancers on up to many enormous imperials gathered here. All here to learn from Professor Severus and, more importantly, to compete against one another to test their skills, find cryptids, long lost to the mists of time, and to win prizes, the ridgebacks were REALLY in it for the prizes, let's be honest. There were shinies.

"All right. Settle down. I'm here with a team of Professors from BioMagica Academy to seek out old species from old civilizations . . .

"How will we find them?" You might ask. The answer is simple. YOU will assist us. Each day this week do an intensive study of a different crpytid and its habits and then you will prepare a recipe for something that will entice it so that it may be caught for study. There will be one winner for each day's contest, however since we allow people to enter for the entirety of the week, the winners will be announced and given out AFTER the week is over.

This is a dangerous concoction to make, so be sure to to wear your Alchemist Eyewear and Rubber Labratory Gloves.

You will need
Painted Clay Pot
Flamerest Embers
Fungalhoof Qiriq Horn
Carpenters Wax

Ingredients
1 Large Jar of Slime
1 tsp. Powerful Serthis Poison
1 tsp. Bonepriest Venom
2 tsp. Noxious Coralclimber Toxin
1 Blue Ring Octopus Tentacle
1 Glowing Tail
1 Ghastly Houndskull
Mimic Powder
1/4c. Ancient Fungus Spores
2 Tbsp. Pollen

Step 1: Go to the Volcanic Vents and collect some Flamerest Embers in your Painted Clay Pot.
Step 2: Set the jar of slime into the pot being careful to nestle it among the embers.
Step 3: Add 1 tsp of Powerful Serthis Potion, 1 tsp of Bonepriest venom and 2 tsp of Noxious Coralclimber Toxin to the slime. Stir gently. Bring to a boil.
Step 4: Carefully add 1 Bluering Octopus tentacle and the Glowing tail.
Step 5: Boil 10 minutes, or until thickened.
Step 6: Add the Ghastly Houndskull to the mixture.
Step 7: Sprinkle the Mimic powder on the surface of the mixture.
Step 8: Boil 24 hours.
Step 9: Meanwhile, add 1/4c ancient Fungus Spores and 2 Tbsp Pollen to the Fungalhoof Qiriq horn. Swirl gently.

Concoction Number One/Sunday
Your First Order of business is to lure the Jersey Devil out where it can be captured. But how will you go about that? Hmm. That is a head-scratcher. Will you lure the devil with food? In addition to the usual flight rising cuisine, the Jersey devil is known for the love of Jersey Devilled eggs, Jersey Devil Food Cake, and Jersey Devilled ham. Then, of course, there is the love affair between the Jersey devil and devilishly risque clothing like leather, satin, lace, and things with bits of horn. Then again, it's quite likely there is some facet of the devil's personality that YOU have insider info on, some lore that you alone have been privy to. So, do tell. By all means, inspire us with your intel. Blind us with your brilliance. Tell us something we don't know. So, for your chance to win, Pick the Flight Rising Item you deem most likely to lure the Jersey Devil into your trap. Tell us WHY it is likely to ensnare a devil, and give us your recipe and instructions in the correct format. (see the example) We are waiting to hear from you.
