I swear to God above that I had this idea ages ago but didn't have the time to implement it until now. But... HATCHLING SIZES!! I've created a form and a spreadsheet for tracking hatchling sizes. Why do this? Well, mainly for lore purposes and my own curiosity. A few months back I was writing lore of one of my Mirrors rescuing a Wildclaw hatchling. The Mirror carried her by the back of the neck like a kitten, and ran with the hatchling on her back. I also described teenage Mirrors being the same size of the Wildclaw hatchling. But then I was like "Wait, full grown Wildclaws are like twice the size of Mirrors. At 4 IRL days old, would she even be able to lift that hatchling?" And thus this spreadsheet was born. I plan to create charts that track the growth rate of hatchlings by species and gender, as well as figure out the average size by day. I hope to eventually expand to teenagers as well, but right now I'm sticking to hatchlings. I'm hoping to find patterns that indicate growth - does a Spiral have a body that grows faster than its wings? Are Guardians born with wings too small to fly with their weight? When do they get heavy? But to do that, I need raw data. And that's where you guys come in! My hope is that y'all will open up your lairs in one tab and this lovely form in another, and document some babies, so that in a month or so, I can shove some lovely charts at you all. Please? [*]A Nocturne egg is just a little bit bigger than your standard soccer ball / futbol, and is quite a bit bigger than your head! [*]Snapper and Wildclaw eggs are almost perfectly knee height on me - I am 5'6"/168cm! [*]Tundra and Pearlcatcher eggs are almost the same size - PC is only bigger by 0.002m [*]The largest dinosaur egg ever found is the same size as a Mirror egg! [*]An Imperial egg would be chest high on some people! [/LIST] Please let me know if it's hard to read! I made it so I can edit it too. [b]How did I figure out these measurements?[/b] Using American crocodile eggs! Baby crocs are 27 cm at birth, and their eggs average 7.62 cm long. I found a ratio and then applied it to the average birth size of every species to get the size of their egg. Still a bit of a rough estimate though - and this is only length, so they may be oval or spherical, who knows! I used fire eggs because they were shaped the most like croc eggs.

Bump because I need some snip snaps and 4 day old guardians of both genders. They're doing a weird thing with their charts where they're losing size and length on the 4th day, then exploding upwards on the 5th. Gaining wingspan normally. So I need to see if it's a pattern.

@Buligete I hate to do this but can I ask you to delete your comment? At the time that I opened this up for commenting I had less ambitious plans for the data I was going to present (I was modeling off of the Dragonkind Measures Masterpost) but now it's looking like I'm going to need a lot more space to show all of the data and graphs. I'd like it to be uninterrupted if possible. I'm sorry to have to ask you to do this.
