Remaking this because the community has expanded a
LOT, and I'm curious if the percentages have changed much since the last one! Does the named or unnamed status of a dragon affect whether or not you would purchase the dragon from the AH, and qualifier questions that should help people more accurately reflect their feelings regarding the named/unnamed status.
If anything seems strange or wonky, or worded in a difficult manner, please let me know and I'll do my best to fix it as quickly as possible. Please feel free to answer in your own words on this thread as well as on the poll itself.

Interesting. I have no strong feelings about this at all; I tend to buy dragons off of auctions rather than the AH but even when I did buy dragons, their name didn't really deter me. After all, renaming scrolls are very cheap.

The named/unnamed status of a dragon doesn't bother me in the slightest. The worst that can happen is having to spend an extra 6kt on a renaming scroll, which is nothing on top of usual dragon prices.

FloatingInSpace It's definitely been a line of discussion, primarily in regards to topics that address Unnamed exalting, that naming dragons before selling them results in them being unsold. That's what inspired the first poll if I remember correctly, and the response back then was overwhelmingly in favor of "I don't care if it's named, if I want it, I want it." I've seen a trend happening that while "I don't care about names" holds majority, the "I don't buy Unnamed dragons period" category has been growing! It's pretty interesting to see from poll to poll over the years.

Filled it in, it's a lot of "I don't mind" but I have to say there's one exception for me - when speed training for dom without money worries I much prefer named dragons to land on my plate since I can get them into the coli faster to train.
All dragons that pass through me will get named anyways as they will get trained and you have to name them for the coli.

In regards to fodder buying, I prefer fodder to be named to make my life easier but I will always snipe the lowest fodder and name myself if I have to - it’s just an extra step.

If not for the random name generator, I'd have some pretty strong feelings about buying unnamed fodder. But as it is, I can just mash the button until I see a name I hope won't embarrass the breeder.

I only buy unnamed.
I hardly buy anymore anyways, about one every few months.
And every dragon that enters my lair is automatically permanent and soon to be outfitted with a title, lore and possibly art. I'm very picky about them. There is one spot left, for an ice-themed male wildclaw.
