They can be found bearing all) Curated By @Oulisia [u][b]Introduction[/b][/u] This subspecies came into existence after going on the hunt for the perfect mate for a pretty derg girl named Eurona. I had adopted the imp female from my ex-friend who was having difficulties finding a mate that was not related to Eurona. I found Eurona’s siblings to have a striking resemblance to each other and thus decided that their beautiful gene combo should become a thing of their own. Finally finding the handsome Orion, to our ultimate glee, Eurona was mated and her babies were some of the first official hatchlings of the subspecies. They now come in a variety of colors and I am here to spread the metallic love. One year, a couple weeks before beloved Trickmurk, a shadow dragon and an arcane dragon mage got together and thought it'd be fun to make "living statues" that could scare the scales off some hatchling and adult dragons alike. They reached out and received volunteers to willingly undergo this extreme change for a prank, and so dragons were dipped in special liquid metal. The metal itself is infused with Shadow magic which allows the metal to be worn sort of like skin-tight armor. This armor gives these imperials the ability to become pure shadow at will and move about undetected. Dragons that had undergone the experimentation came out shiny and brand new. This new look and its properties could be handed down to their children. It was a side effect of the magic and effectively cursed any Metallic Fire into giving their progenies the same condition. This is why they prefer to stay on their own and avoid “contaminating” bloodlines. However, only purebred Metallic Fire's can use the “shadow” powers. Metallic Fires are hot-tempered usually and like to stay within a very small group. Their communication is bare bones unless you engage them in talks of their passion. Metallic Fires exhibit their imperial nature tenfold when it comes to delving deep into a task or occupation and it can be hard to distract them. They are sort of like living machines in that sense.

All colors are within the same Blue/Indigo range and close together. There have been cases of a super dark purple being accepted (Grape). XYY, XXY, or XYZ that are similar in hue. XYX is rare but possible. [color=#236925][b]Green Fire:[/b][/color] Spruce - Olive [color=#666666][b]COMMON[/b][/color] Green Fires, like Blues, are known to have an almost monochromatic color scheme. All colors are within the same range and are close together. There are absolutely no blue ranges within this type. XYY, XXY, or XYZ that are similar in hue. XYX is rare but possible. [color=#3BA0A1][b]Teal Fire:[/b][/color] Teal - Turquoise [color=#B0734F][b]UNCOMMON[/b][/color] Teal Fires, like Blues, are known to have an almost monochromatic color scheme. All colors are within the same range and close together. This color in Metallic Fire babs is extremely hard to achieve because the range is so limited. XYY, XXY, or XYZ that are similar in hue. XYX is rare but possible. [color=#653F9C][b]Violet Fire:[/b][/color] Shadow - Violet [color=#B0734F][b]UNCOMMON[/b][/color] Purple Fires, like Blues, are known to have an almost monochromatic color scheme. All colors are within the same range and are close together. There are absolutely no blue ranges within this type. XYY, XXY, or XYZ that are similar in hue. XYX is rare but possible. [color=#808080][b]WhiteFire:[/b][/color] White - Grey [color=#731D08][b]RARE[/b][/color] WhiteFires, like Blues, are known to have an almost monochromatic color scheme. All colors are within the same range and are close together. There are absolutely no colorful ranges within this type. It is strictly colorless. These dragons often come off looking like gunmetal. XYY, XXY, or XYZ that are similar in hue. XYX is rare but possible. [color=Red][b]RedFire:[/b][/color] Rust - Coral [color=#731D08][b]RARE[/b][/color] RedFires, like Blues, are known to have an almost monochromatic color scheme. All colors are within the same range and are close together. There are absolutely no other hues ranges within this type. It is strictly shades of red with no white added (Pink). These dragons look fantastic with Fire Primal Eyes. XYY, XXY, or XYZ that are similar in hue. XYX is rare but possible. [color=#1D2224][b]BlackFire:[/b][/color] Lead-Coal (Skip Oilslick), Black, Obsidian- [color=#3E0100][b]VERY RARE[/b][/color] BlackFires, like Blues, are known to have an almost monochromatic color scheme. All colors are within the same range and are close together. There are absolutely no colorful ranges within this type. It is strictly colorless. These dragons are as close to black as possible. XYY, XXY, or XYZ that are similar in hue. XYX is rare but possible. Coming Soon: PinkFire, GoldFire, Copper/BronzeFire. [u][b]Breed[/b] [/u] True MetallicFires are all Imperials. They prefer to keep the bloodline pure, however, they have been known to choose a mate that is not a Metallic Fire. It is uncommon that a MetallicFire will come out of a pairing that is not pure blooded. [u][b]Genes[/b][/u] Metallic/Alloy combo is required. The third gene cannot interfere with these two genes. Glimmer, Basic, Stained, and Spines are preferred over all tertiaries. [u][b]Unaccepted Terts:[/b][/u] Underbelly, Crackle, Okapi, Gembond, Thylacine, Opal, and Filigree are unaccepted because they interfere with the Primary and Secondary Genes by shifting colors. [u][b]Terts That Must Match Secondary Color:[/b][/u] Smirch, Scales, and Capsule must match the secondary gene color because they interfere with the Primary and Secondary Genes by shifting colors.

FAQ:
Where do I buy one? A: You can find these babs for sale in the Avalon Hatchery or any listed Affiliate linked above.

Can my old Imp still be registered as an **? A: Yes! Just send the ID over to Oulisia for inspection. If they fall within the traits they can be listed here as official MFs.

Do MFs have to be Imps? Yes, according to further lore, the arcanist who performed the experiment favored Imps because they were considered a "mistake" anyways.
Sad... but true.

If I become a Breeder, Do I get paid? Yes, if you breed MFs and allow us to host them in our hatchery, you will receive all profits. Price is yours to set though we do have a recommended base price of no less than 25K per dragon.
Prices can range from 25-50k respectively depending on rarity and breeders discretion.

I hope to be able to hold some contests and giveaways if this takes off.

Blue and Violet Fires can be breed. [b]Cons:[/b] Most colors for Ghost were too contrasting and interrupted the seamless metallic look too much. Getting the Ghost in the right color is rare and difficult.
