This lair is just a bunch of dragons chillin' out, listening to kpop, making bad puns, and being a giant family. Dragon Sign Language is a thing in this lair, due to a couple mute and/or deaf dragons. Feel free to say hi!
The lair is named as such because [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=34321175]Yong[/url] likes puns, but the clan's beliefs ultimately align with equality, care, and friendliness. Although there are designated mates for the most part, this lair loosely practices polyamory.

As you enter the lair, you notice a sign, with the words "Welcome to" untouched, and "The Ozone Lair" crossed out and re-written multiple times. There's a hastily-built makeshift fence around a field. On one end, a cave, on the other, half forest, half long expanse from wence you came. You think you may see a giant shadow (of a dragon? Only an [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=39810812]Emperor[/url] could possibly be that big... Must be a trick of the eyes) by the forest.
The clan's leader, a fae named [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/34321175][i]Yong[/i][/url], meets you outside of a humble cave entrance that has double wooden doors across the entrance. The cave is much bigger than it looks from the outside, with various smaller pathways going further into the cave. The floor is lined with [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/game-database/item/28269]glimmering tiles[/url], and colorful rocks decorate the walls between lanterns. There seems to be a constant level of excitement happening in the main area. There is a delicious scent wafting in from one side, and when you look over, you see a [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=41692733]young Fae[/url] bustling about in a surprisingly industrial kitchen, despite being in a cave. "She traveled through all the flights, and fell in love with Lightning's industrial look. Now she won't go anywhere without some form of industrialization." Yong says with a chuckle. Right next to the kitchen is what looks to be a dining hall. "We don't always all eat together as a clan, but for special feasts, such as holidays, we all manage to crowd in here... We've been needing to add more space for a while though, so sometimes we just have some of the bigger dragons bring the tables out to the meadow." Yong explains, talking about the field just outside the cave.
A lot of dragons are going back and forth, some chasing after hatchlings, others seeming to be going about their own business. From another chamber, a different kind of smell wafts to your nose, this one smells more like science and alchemy. You see [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=44574519]a spiral[/url] sleeping by a stack of notes and a few pieces of glassware. Over the entrance is a sign reading, "Laboratory" With a less official looking sign reading, "DO NOT enter when door is closed!" You notice the spiral seems to look a little less... solid as his body goes to his tail.

The clan originally wasn't really a clan but rather a handful of orphaned dragons just trying to make their way in the world. Yong, [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/34248905]Yookwang[/url], [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/34321176]Sebin[/url], [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/34323450]Bobae[/url], and Bobae's sister [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/34323451]Bora[/url] all hatched around the same in the same general area, no parents to be found. They found the cave they currently live in (though it was vastly smaller originally) and used it as shelter, hunting various small creatures or bugs to let them survive. Their travels introduced them to other dragons with more life experience who joined the clan for anywhere between a few days to a couple years, and so the group of them managed to become fairly well-adjusted adults. One dragon staying led to ten staying, led to many, many more, and with each new dragon, they ventured deeper into the cave they initially used for shelter that one fateful night, and have turned it more and more into a home that can accommodate dragons of all shapes, sizes, and needs.
When the clan was significantly smaller, they decided to venture to Starfall Isles to explore a new area and learn about the culture. They stayed six months before deciding to return to their home in Singer's Brook.

After six months in the Arcane Flight, the clan decided it was time to return to Wind. As they were traveling, they got word that there were rumors of Gaolers about. Gaolers? Impossible! They went extinct with the second age or something, right?? Most of the clan shook off the rumors and continued their journey back to their homelands. It was mostly quiet, though rumors of Gaolers in Sorneith became more prevalent as time went on. Stories of how terrifying and ancient they looked. Stories of their powers and strength.
The last way Yong expected to encounter a Gaoler was to find a couple, the [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=51207100]female[/url] very carefully carrying eggs, and occasionally looking around desperately. The [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=51793340]male[/url] also looked pretty panicked, and as he spotted Yong, the Fae froze. [i]"Please! Our hatchlings are about to hatch but we have nowhere to raise them. Let us stay with you!"[/i]
Yong's heart went out to them, and he nodded, [i]"You may stay."[/i] He told them after a moment's hesitation.
The couple had barely settled in a far corner deep within the caves dwellings when the first of the eggs cracked, out popping [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=52477344]a little Gaoler[/url], and she was soon followed by her [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=52477345]sister[/url] and [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=52477346]brother[/url].
With relieved sighs they had found a place to let their hatchlings grow, the parents turned to Yong, and he felt himself freeze up again. [i]"What is your name, kind stranger?"[/i] They asked him.
[i]"Um... Yong. I'm the clan's leader."[/i] Yong told them, fidgeting his fins in nervousness.
[i]"But you're so... small."[/i] The male said.
Yong twitched, but nodded, [i]"Yeah, that's why I have an Imperial as my second-in-command. I founded this clan, so I became leader by naturalization."[/i] He explained to them.
The Gaolers looked shocked. [i]"You keep one of those Light abominations with you?"[/i]
[i]"Many, in fact."[/i] Yong corrected them.
[i]"You know what happens when they [b]die[/b], right?"[/i]
[i]"I am well aware, yes."[/i] He made a mental note to try to avoid letting them notice Inki until he got a better understanding on the two ancient beasts in front of him. [i]"We take those extra precautions when it is necessary to make sure it doesn't happen. And if you want to stay, I'd expect you to respect my Imperial clanmates "[/i] He told them firmly.
His words seemed to make the two realize they were being rude. [i]"We... apologize. We're still learning about the new... Sorneith. Please, let us stay."[/i] The male requested, lowering his head in a bow to express his apologies.
[i]"We are both Seekers, but with different focuses, and from different factions. I am trying to learn all I can about the modern dragon world, so please, teach us if we are wrong, and let us learn from your clan."[/i] The female explained.
Yong nodded, approving their change of demeanor. [i]"What are your names?"[/i]
The female pointed a sharp claw at herself and then to her mate. [i]"I am Yoomool, and this is Gamok."[/i]
Yong nodded, and a smile actually broke out as he looked to the hatchlings, stumbling around and playing with each other, [i]"And the young ones? Have they got names yet?"[/i]
[i]"Yeonga, Yeonsoo, and Yeongrak."[/i]
[i]"Excellent, welcome to the clan."[/i] He said, extending a paw to shake one of theirs, a bit of bitterness as they offered him just... one finger.

Some time passed, and the clan had become used to their ancient new friends. Some stayed within the clan, other came and went, and others still were kindly but forcibly asked to leave. One day, [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=56775537]Kirunali[/url], a new recruit for the hunting and gathering team, came back with two eggs carefully being held under each arm. [i]"I found these."[/i] He stated to the clan, many of whom had come to look at the mysterious eggs.
[i]"These aren't like any eggs I've seen before!"[/i] Another of the clan stated. However, in the background, Yoomool and Gamok exchanged looks of disbelief. They were too young to have actually experienced the Second War, but they had heard the stories, and seen pictures.
Yong noticed them and flew over, [i]"You two are being awfully quiet."[/i]
Yoomool swallowed nervously and stepped forward. [i]"I could be wrong, but I think those eggs belong to another ancient. They-"[/i] Her words were cut short as

A head peeked out from one of the shells, and Yoomool and Gamok gasped simultaneously.

[i]"What-what is a banescale?"[/i] Yong asked them, stuttering as he noticed [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=57348755]the hatchling[/url] had bright orange eyes. He looked to Kirunali with a questioning look on his face. The young Tundra shrugged,[i] "I found them in Wind."[/i]
[i]"They're an ancient breed, created by the Flamecaller. Gaolers and Banescales had an epic battle during the Second War, it supposedly ended with Banescales brought to a forced extinction."[/i] Yoomool explained.
The [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=57348964]second egg[/url] hatched a little later than the first, and it also had an unusual eye color considering where it had been found.
Yong observed these hatchlings carefully, unsure exactly how to proceed or what he should do with them. He looked to Yoomool and Gamok, [i]"Do you think they pose a danger?"[/i]
Yoomool shrugged, [i]"Only if they know what happened in the past and want to continue the destruction of our kind and our homeland."[/i]
Yong contemplated for a moment before looking to [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=45035513]Jangmi[/url] and [url=https://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=44807560]Satang[/url], Satang still holding Jungmin away from the egg protectively. [i]"I have a big favor to ask of you two."[/i]
[i]"You want us to care for them, don't you? Since we were the last to have hatchlings."[/i] Jangmi deadpanned. She went closer to the hatchlings, tentatively poking at the boy. [i]"This one kind of looks like you, honey."[/i]
Satang scoffed, [i]"Please..."[/i]
[i]"I mean, they're [b]your[/b] ancestors."[/i] Yong pointed out to the Coatl.
Satang sneered, but looked at the two hatchlings still sitting comfortably in half their egg. With a sigh, she picked up the girl and looked to her mate, [i]"Let's go get them settled."[/i]

The Ozone Lair
2. Is it considered a clan? A tribe? A group? Other?
A clan, mostly. Found family is another option.
3. How did the name originate?
Yong, the leader (and myself), likes puns.
4. What form of leadership runs your clan? A council? A King/Queen/Other? If not, how does the clan operate?
Yong is co-founder and leader of the clan (the crown is just cause he likes it. While Yookwang is another co-founder and co-leader/assistant leader (also sometimes literally just called "big leader").
5. What is the main income of your clan? Is there anyone that manages the money?
No one officially runs the money. I didn't think about this. *thinking emoji*
6. Are certain things more valuable than currency that would be used as such?
Not really.
7. Is your clan dedicated to one craft or few, OR do they specialize in many things?
Specialize in many things.

Mostly keep to themselves, but not opposed to trading with other clans.

There was a contract involved in one of alliances, but usually no, it's verbal/based off trust.

Undecided? Another thing I need to think about more...

I mean some of the clan members are responsible for caring for the familiars so I guess so?

They shouldn't face any distaste or issues, considering the clan is created to care for all size ranges of dragons.

No

Not familiars, but like pets? They do have free roam of the lair.

Banescales created a bit of drama for them, but Veilspuns caused no alarm(mostly because I haven't written that lore yet).

My friend, I do not pay enough attention to wing sizes to adhere to the latter. They all can fly. However, occasionally, Wonbyeol finds flying too taxing.

They're learning to appreciate learning from each other. Veils were the most quiet integration.

When Gaolers were first spotted, the clan was on their way back to Wind after a sixth month stay in Arcane. They had heard rumors about an Ancient breed of dragon and were kind of nervous about it when they met my first Gaolers. Yong was polite but hesitant to let them stay with the clan, but as more Gaolers who had never been part of the initial migration appeared, the first two loosened up and have now integrated fairly well into the clan. Banescales created a bit of drama for them, but Veilspuns caused no alarm(mostly because I haven't written that lore yet).
58. Do Ancients have a vastly different culture than those of Moderns?
The Gaolers did, but these days they've integrated well. The culture is mostly the same. Typically the new site lore when Ancients are introduced is what spurs how well they initially integrate into the clan.
59. What about the Obelisks?
OOC, Obelisks were the first Modern breed where I was here for its introduction. I haven't fully decided how the clan reacts to the new Modern breed, let alone what it might mean in regards to whatever trouble may be brewing on a level that has the deities worried.

- The aforementioned Wonbyeol, who crash into the cliffs and pretty much every bone in his body was broken. He has a body suit that helps him move, and without it he's completely paralyzed, and experiences chronic body pain. He also has a... service friend?
- Sanho was blinded during her childhood.
- Hyeoljang lost his tail in an alchemy accident. It doesn't seem to have slowed him down.
- Kiho has DID due to a traumatizing childhood (hatchlinghood?)
- My random progen, Sebin, is mute.
- Also aforementioned, but WeiYing is technically disabled as he can't use regular magic
If we're getting technical:
- Seongwoo is disabled cause uh... he's a ghost.
- Inki is disabled cause he's an Emperor.

Kind of a mix of both, mostly anthro I suppose. Like they're dragon shaped but they do things like cook in a kitchen and sleep in beds, etc.

They're kinda worried and have been keeping an eye on what's been happening in the borders of Water, but don't particularly hate him nor are they helping.

This hasn't come up in my lore yet, so no idea.

Sometimes they'll keep a statue or something that they've found for good luck.

Magically they're all equal but like, physically of course the larger breeds are stronger.
50. Can breeds of their "origin element" use their magic better? (Ex. A spiral dragon using wind magic better because the breed originated from Wind more than say a guardian dragon using wind magic)

Mostly keep to canon sizes.
52. Are all dragons similarly expressive or do they all uniquely show their emotions?
Yong and my other progen, Sebin are mostly expressive because they grew up outside the influence of other Faes (besides each other). Most of the other Faes are somewhere in between canon expressiveness and my progens.
53. Are your dragons able to fly? Or is wholly determined by their wing sizes?
My friend, I do not pay enough attention to wing sizes to adhere to the latter. They all can fly. However, occasionally, Wonbyeol finds flying too taxing.
54. Do Ancients and Moderns get along with each other?
They're learning to appreciate learning from each other. Veils were the most quiet integration.
55. Can your Ancient and Modern dragons breed with each other despite in-game lore?
I mean, probably? But I never thought about this so right now it's a no?

The Ancients kind of keep to themselves, partially because I haven't gotten around to solidifying their personal lore.
57. How did you clan react to finding Ancients?
When Gaolers were first spotted, the clan was on their way back to Wind after a sixth month stay in Arcane. They had heard rumors about an Ancient breed of dragon and were kind of nervous about it when they met my first Gaolers. Yong was polite but hesitant to let them stay with the clan, but as more Gaolers who had never been part of the initial migration appeared, the first two loosened up and have now integrated fairly well into the clan. Banescales created a bit of drama for them, but Veilspuns caused no alarm
58. Do Ancients have a vastly different culture than those of Moderns?
The Gaolers did, but these days they've integrated well. The culture is mostly the same. Typically the new site lore when Ancients are introduced is what spurs how well they initially integrate into the clan.
59. What about the Obelisks?
OOC, Obelisks were the first Modern breed where I was here for its introduction. I haven't fully decided how the clan reacts to the new Modern breed, let alone what it might mean in regards to whatever trouble may be brewing on a level that has the deities worried.

If they choose to, I guess.

None of them are considered less, but I do a small handful of disabled dragons:
- The aforementioned Wonbyeol, who crash into the cliffs and pretty much every bone in his body was broken. He has a body suit that helps him move, and without it he's completely paralyzed, and experiences chronic body pain. He also has a... service friend?
- Sanho was blinded during her childhood.
- Hyeoljang lost his tail in an alchemy accident. It doesn't seem to have slowed him down.
- Kiho has DID due to a traumatizing childhood (hatchlinghood?)
- My random progen, Sebin, is mute.
- Also aforementioned, but WeiYing is technically disabled as he can't use regular magic
If we're getting technical:
- Seongwoo is disabled cause uh... he's a ghost.
- Inki is disabled cause he's an Emperor.
64. Are your dragons in your lore, anthro, human, or just simply dragon?
Kind of a mix of both, mostly anthro I suppose. Like they're dragon shaped but they do things like cook in a kitchen and sleep in beds, etc.
65. Are your dragons more human like in terms of intelligence or are they more feral/animal like?
All except Inki have human-like intelligence.
66. How technologically advanced is your clan? Do they use magic to fuel technology? or just simply magic for all necessary things?
They have some inspiration from Lightning in terms of technological advancement, but they're like, equivalent to maybe the 1940s tech wise?

Another thing I never thought about... They probably grow a good amount of food, but they also frequently gather/hunt food.
68. What does your clan do with abandoned eggs?
Takes them in and cares for them. Usually a family can volunteer or be assigned to care the egg and hatchling.

The leaders are the ambassadors, and they usually greet visitors, tell them about the clan, and get to know the visitor, usually over tea and snacks.

Not... really?

They literally built their lair in a large cave, but the clan decorates the walls with shiny rocks and the floor of the cave is made of decorative tiles.

I haven't established all the teachers in the clan, but Sebin teaches new clan members and hatchlings Dragon Sign Language. It's vaguely implied the hatchlings attend school and learn about the things listed in the question.

No, even the job of leaders is seen as equal. Yong, Sebin, and Yookwang do have the most respect since they're the clan founders (Sebin just didn't want to lead).

Yes. Have I written about it? Not at all. But libraries are a must.

Yong's second oldest, Cheonmi is the head chef. I haven't designated who helps in the kitchen, but they exist.
There are no servants.

Inki is technically imprisoned, but the clan doesn't have an official prison.

The laws are basically don't kill each other, so like, if a dragon did that, they'd probably just get to uh... share some space with Inki... Yong and Yookwang are strict on respect, but they haven't had the need to really make any other laws?

A lecture from Yong and/or Yookwang to spending some time with Inki. The latter has never happened.

Nope.

Not exactly, but Meonbyeol is from a planet that had been destroyed by the Shade, so they know other planets are out there.

The Shade is feared in the clan, but it's not like, a daily fear. If rumors start around town about the Shade, they might worry a little more than usual and perhaps research some ways to keep the clan safe. No one is shade-touched, though some question if WeiYing was.

About as much as they believe in the deities.

Not really

Also no. Cheonmi traveled all over Sorneith learning about food so there's not one that the clan gets more than others. I suppose something like idk fried rice? might be a comfort food for a lot of the dragons that were born into the clan.
88. What of slang? Or sayings? What about swears? Do certain dragons/ dragons of elements have certain sayings/swears? (Think when the Light Sprite yells "Baku Snout!" in G&G out of frustration)
Another thing I didn't think of! They probably have typically slang for a dragon who lives on Sorneith.

Fictional books and comics can exist, sure. Toys are probably about the same as 1940s era toys, or the things we find while scavenging/digging/in chests during gameplay.

With interest, probably encourage that dragon to sell their invention.

They have beds, tables, and most furniture humans have, but they're all made for dragons.

Would they still carry characteristics of their old breed after they change? IS it instant? Gradual? Same with genes? Or do the patterns mix for a bit before changing to the new?
I've mentioned a breed change scroll exactly once in lore, and it's something only someone who's really good with magic can do. Same for most scrolls that change appearance. It is an instant change, though.
