Notes: answers in red just means at some point in the future I'll probably give the answer more thought.
1. What is the name of your clan?
The Ozone Lair

A clan, mostly. Found family is another option.
3. How did the name originate?
Yong, the leader (and myself), likes puns.
4. What form of leadership runs your clan? A council? A King/Queen/Other? If not, how does the clan operate?
Yong is co-founder and leader of the clan (the crown is just cause he likes it. While
Yookwang is another co-founder and co-leader/assistant leader (also sometimes literally just called "big leader").
5. What is the main income of your clan? Is there anyone that manages the money?
No one officially runs the money. I didn't think about this. *thinking emoji*

Not really.
7. Is your clan dedicated to one craft or few, OR do they specialize in many things?
Specialize in many things.

Mostly keep to themselves, but not opposed to trading with other clans.
9. Is there any enemies to your clan? If so, how?

N/A
11. Does your clan have many allies? If so, how do they usually interact with each other?
They have a couple :3
12. Is there treaties or contracts involved in alliances or is it verbal/based off trust?
There was a contract involved in one of alliances, but usually no, it's verbal/based off trust.
13. Does your clan get along Beastclans or are they all enemies?
Undecided? Another thing I need to think about more...
14. Does your clan accept Beastclan members? Why or why not?
I mean some of the clan members are responsible for caring for the familiars so I guess so?
15. If yes, would they have any form of issues integrating into your clan? Would any dragons show distaste towards them?
They shouldn't face any distaste or issues, considering the clan is created to care for all size ranges of dragons.
16. Is any specific race of Beastclans disliked? Or certain races seen as less than others?
No
17. Are they treated like actual Familiars?
Not familiars, but like pets? They do have free roam of the lair.
18. Are there any race or animals treated as Familiars?
Not really.
19. Does your clan celebrate the Elemental Holidays? Why or why not?
I mean, I guess they participate in them but like, in the way that someone will get a gift for the holidays and maybe put up some lights? I dunno, I haven't fully fleshed out how celebratory they are...
20. IF yes, what do these festivities entail? Is it always monthly? Can anyone participate?
They've got dragons from all the elements, so they'd at least loosely celebrate every festival. Anyone is welcome to participate.
21. Is any specific element more respected than others, or one more hated than others? If so, why?
Wind is expected, since that's where they live, but it's not like a requirement, nor are any other flights more hated than others.
22. IS any race of dragon more respected or more hated than others? If so, why?
I mean, OOC, Snappers. But IC, anyone is welcome, and any dragon breed is welcome. In my lore, actually, the first Gaolers to the clan were hesitant about sharing a lair with Imperials, but they got over it.
23. Can all forms of elemental magic heal?
I have... not thought about that...
24. Is all magic absolutely elemental (strictly to the in-game lore magics) or are there general forms of magic any dragon can use? If so, how do they work?
Thanks to a
fan dragon, the magic in the clan is not solely elemental. The clan is still trying to figure out how his magic works, because to the clan's knowledge, not even the shade had necromancy.
25. Is any certain magic more powerful than others?
No, except for obvious things like water is stronger against fire, fire is stronger against nature, etc.
26. Are there such thing as enchantments or curses? How would they work?
I feel like I have at least one dragon with a curse but I can't remember who at the moment...
27. Are tomes important to magic users? Why or why not?
Not really? Yookwang has some tomes and scrolls, but it's from his family after he found them again.
28. Are certain things or places able to amplify ones magical abilities?
Nope.
29. Do dragon have to be in certain conditions to be able to perform their magic? (Ex. An Ice or Nature dragon would not be able to perform their abilities in the Ashfall Wastes.)
No.
30. Can a dragons magic become naturally more powerful over time or would they need any form of training to help them become more powerful?
They'd need formal training or an alchemical accident.
31. In-game lore says only water can be seers, but can any dragon be able to do the same regardless of element? How do they receive future prophecies without the influence of a Deity?
Honestly? I don't adhere to this lore. I kinda forget it's a thing tbh.
32. Does your clan have any dragons dedicated to researching and studying magic?
Not... technically? Yookwang is known as the "most" magical but it's because of his heritage, he doesn't particularly do magic more than (or even better than, let's be real) the others in the clan.
33. What about a court magister or someone who is very knowledgeable in magic/arcane that gives advice or helps with magic/arcane matters?
Not... really...?
34. Can dragons use magic to shape or create things?
I mean, probably?
35. Can ones magic influence or read someones mind?
No
36. Do your dragons use magic to attack others in combat? Can any element engage in magic combat?
Combat/Coli is not part of my lore, but they can use it to attack others in combat. The clan is mostly full of pacifists, though.
37. Do your dragons worship the deities?
Theoretically? Like in the way someone calls themself religious but never attends the services and tends to go to the ceremonies for the free food.
38. Do dragons worship only their deity of their element, or would they worship another deity, if at all?
They worship all equally.
39. Are there dragons that don't believe in the deities or hate them? If so, why?
I mean, WeiYing might hate them but it's not in his official lore.
40. Are there dragons dedicated to convincing others to serve their deities?
No.
41. What is exalting to your clan/dragons exactly? Is it noble? Foolish?
At first I kinda didn't include it in lore, but like site lore, it's considered the highest honor.
42. How does one go about exalting another? Is it a ritual? A process? Does one decide for themself and leave? Does another help?
It's like applying for a really competitive job, I guess?
43. Where would one go to be exalted?
No idea. Good question.
44. IS it considered blasphemous or crazy to not worship ones elemental deity?
Nope.
45. Do the worship of the deities play a big role in your clan?
Nope.
46. Do any of your clan members hate the Tidelord or are scared because he vanished? Are any helping to search?
They're kinda worried and have been keeping an eye on what's been happening in the borders of Water, but don't particularly hate him nor are they helping.
47. Do dragons that come back from exalting seen as higher or lesser for leaving/being kicked out?
This hasn't come up in my lore yet, so no idea.
48. Does your clan or any dragon do any form of sacrificial ritual for their deity? Or offer any items?
Sometimes they'll keep a statue or something that they've found for good luck.
49. Are any breed stronger than another in any way? Or are all breeds equal?
Magically they're all equal but like, physically of course the larger breeds are stronger.
50. Can breeds of their "origin element" use their magic better? (Ex. A spiral dragon using wind magic better because the breed originated from Wind more than say a guardian dragon using wind magic)
Y'know. I didn't think about this. It's an interesting concept. *double thinking emoji*
51. Are your dragon sizes more to that of in-game canon (Fae is the smallest, Imperial the biggest, etc.) or are they closer together?
Mostly keep to canon sizes.
52. Are all dragons similarly expressive or do they all uniquely show their emotions?
Yong and my other progen,
Sebin are mostly expressive because they grew up outside the influence of other Faes (besides each other). Most of the other Faes are somewhere in between canon expressiveness and my progens.
53. Are your dragons able to fly? Or is wholly determined by their wing sizes?
My friend, I do not pay enough attention to wing sizes to adhere to the latter. They all can fly. However, occasionally,
Wonbyeol finds flying too taxing.
54. Do Ancients and Moderns get along with each other?
They're learning to appreciate learning from each other. Veils were the most quiet integration.
55. Can your Ancient and Modern dragons breed with each other despite in-game lore?
I mean, probably? But I never thought about this so right now it's a no?
56. Do Ancients and Moderns socialize regularly or do they both have their separate areas within the clan?
The Ancients kind of keep to themselves, partially because I haven't gotten around to solidifying their personal lore.
57. How did you clan react to finding Ancients?
When Gaolers were first spotted, the clan was on their way back to Wind after a sixth month stay in Arcane. They had heard rumors about an Ancient breed of dragon and were kind of nervous about it when they met my
first Gaolers. Yong was polite but hesitant to let them stay with the clan, but as more Gaolers who had never been part of the initial migration appeared, the first two loosened up and have now integrated fairly well into the clan. Banescales created a bit of drama for them, but Veilspuns caused no alarm
(mostly because I haven't written that lore yet).
58. Do Ancients have a vastly different culture than those of Moderns?
The Gaolers
did, but these days they've integrated well. The culture is mostly the same. Typically the new site lore when Ancients are introduced is what spurs how well they initially integrate into the clan.
59. What about the Obelisks?
OOC, Obelisks were the first Modern breed where I was here for its introduction. I haven't fully decided how the clan reacts to the new Modern breed, let alone what it might mean in regards to whatever trouble may be brewing on a level that has the deities worried.
60. Are there any ceremonies that might be breed specific?
No.
61. Do dragons mate for life or no?
If they choose to, I guess.
62. Do dragons look down on others for not having a lineage? (G1 dragons)
No.
63. Do you have any disabled dragons? If so, how do they receive assistance for such? Are they considered less?
None of them are considered less, but I do a small handful of disabled dragons:
- The aforementioned Wonbyeol, who crash into the cliffs and pretty much every bone in his body was broken. He has a body suit that helps him move, and without it he's completely paralyzed, and experiences chronic body pain. He also has a...
service friend?
-
Sanho was blinded during her childhood.
-
Hyeoljang lost his tail in an alchemy accident. It doesn't seem to have slowed him down.
-
Kiho has DID due to a traumatizing childhood (hatchlinghood?)
- My random progen, Sebin, is mute.
- Also aforementioned, but WeiYing is technically disabled as he can't use regular magic
If we're getting technical:
-
Seongwoo is disabled cause uh... he's a ghost.
-
Inki is disabled cause he's an Emperor.
64. Are your dragons in your lore, anthro, human, or just simply dragon?
Kind of a mix of both, mostly anthro I suppose. Like they're dragon shaped but they do things like cook in a kitchen and sleep in beds, etc.
65. Are your dragons more human like in terms of intelligence or are they more feral/animal like?
All except Inki have human-like intelligence.
66. How technologically advanced is your clan? Do they use magic to fuel technology? or just simply magic for all necessary things?
They have some inspiration from Lightning in terms of technological advancement, but they're like, equivalent to maybe the 1940s tech wise?
67. Does your clan grow/farm food? Or do they hunt for it all?
Another thing I never thought about... They probably grow a good amount of food, but they also frequently gather/hunt food.
68. What does your clan do with abandoned eggs?
Takes them in and cares for them. Usually a family can volunteer or be assigned to care the egg and hatchling.
69. Does your clan have ambassadors/representatives? What do they do?
The leaders are the ambassadors, and they usually greet visitors, tell them about the clan, and get to know the visitor, usually over tea and snacks.
70. Do your dragons hold marriage ceremonies of sorts if they were to mate?
Not... really?
71. Is architect important in your clan? Do they live where infrastructure is important or no?
They literally built their lair in a large cave, but the clan decorates the walls with shiny rocks and the floor of the cave is made of decorative tiles.
72. Are there any forms of teachers to help with literacy/fighting/magic/history/etc?
I haven't established all the teachers in the clan, but Sebin teaches new clan members and hatchlings Dragon Sign Language. It's vaguely implied the hatchlings attend school and learn about the things listed in the question.
73. Besides forms of leader is there any jobs considered to be more valuable/ important than others?
No, even the job of leaders is seen as equal. Yong, Sebin, and Yookwang do have the most respect since they're the clan founders (Sebin just didn't want to lead).
74. Does your clan have a library?
Yes. Have I written about it? Not at all. But libraries are a must.
75. What about cooks or any form of servants?
Yong's second oldest,
Cheonmi is the head chef. I haven't designated who helps in the kitchen, but they exist.
There are no servants.
76. Do you have a prison? How is it run? What would someone have to do to be imprisoned?
Inki is technically imprisoned, but the clan doesn't have an official prison.
77. Would your dragons have a trial for the offending person? How strict are the laws if your clan has any?
The laws are basically don't kill each other, so like, if a dragon did that, they'd probably just get to uh... share some space with Inki... Yong and Yookwang are strict on respect, but they haven't had the need to really make any other laws?
78. What is the most serious punishment and the lightest punishment for a crime?
A lecture from Yong and/or Yookwang to spending some time with Inki. The latter has never happened.
79. Do Beastclans believe in any form of deity or God of their own? Do they try to convert dragons?
Nope.
80. Are there any planets that your dragons, or others, have found?
Not exactly, but
Meonbyeol is from a planet that had been destroyed by the Shade, so they know other planets are out there.
81. Are your dragons developing a way to go into space?
Nah, they're fine just looking at the pretty night sky.
82. Sorneith canonically has 2 moons. What would they be named if your clan had to name them?
Sorneith has what????
Uhh... Knowing Yong, it'd be Moon and MoonMoon
83. Is the Shade feared in your clan? Anyone "Shade-Touched"?
The Shade is feared in the clan, but it's not like, a daily fear. If rumors start around town about the Shade, they might worry a little more than usual and perhaps research some ways to keep the clan safe. No one is shade-touched, though some question if WeiYing was.
84. IS there anyone that worships the Shade? Are they open about it?
No.
85. Does your clan believe in such a being?
About as much as they believe in the deities.
86. IS there a certain dress code or expectation of style in your clan? Any developed styles over time?
Not really
87. What about food? Any food that is considered your clans cultural food?
Also no. Cheonmi traveled all over Sorneith learning about food so there's not one that the clan gets more than others. I suppose something like idk fried rice? might be a comfort food for a lot of the dragons that were born into the clan.
88. What of slang? Or sayings? What about swears? Do certain dragons/ dragons of elements have certain sayings/swears? (Think when the Light Sprite yells "Baku Snout!" in G&G out of frustration)
Another thing I didn't think of! They probably have typically slang for a dragon who lives on Sorneith.
89. Are fictional books in your lore similar to books in our real life? What about comics and toys?
Fictional books and comics can exist, sure. Toys are probably about the same as 1940s era toys, or the things we find while scavenging/digging/in chests during gameplay.
90. If a dragon was to say try to invent something we have in our modern lives, like a TV or a car, How would other dragons react?
With interest, probably encourage that dragon to sell their invention.
91. Do dragons have certain things we do? Like desks for writing, full beds, shelves, etc. Or would they be very different to compensate for their style of living/being dragons? (Like instead of beds, they'd have nests)
They have beds, tables, and most furniture humans have, but they're all made for dragons.
92. Do other forms of dimensions exist?
No?
93. Does any form of heaven or limbo exist in your lore? Or any form of afterlife?
Probably, but I haven't given a lot of thought to it.
94. Do spirits exist? Can they possess or move things around?
*points to Seongwoo* Ghosts can possess others, but it's frowned upon. They can move things around.
95. Do dragons hunt for the paranormal if they do exist?
Not really.
96. Are there any folktales or legends that exist within your clan? Any Mythical creatures?
Haven't thought about it...
97. What about songs that would be commonly sung among your dragons?
K... KPop? kinda?
98. Are hatchlings assigned a job when they're young or can be anything they please once they're of a certain age?
They can be anything they please.
99. Do some dragons sometimes eat outside their food groups? Like a Tundra eating meat/fish?
I haven't mentioned it directly in my lore, but in my mind, not really.
AND FINALLY... 100. What does your clan do with gene scrolls/breed changes? Are they even a thing? Magic? Can they willingly change their breed at any time using one? Would they still carry characteristics of their old breed after they change? IS it instant? Gradual? Same with genes? Or do the patterns mix for a bit before changing to the new?
I've mentioned a breed change scroll exactly
once in lore, and it's something only someone who's really good with magic can do. Same for most scrolls that change appearance. It is an instant change, though.
