A Painful Departure
Involves: Beatha, Kunsgnos, Maeve
Location: The Cottage and environment
Trigger warning: involves death

It started out as a simple cold. A stuffy nose, sneezing – the normal symptoms, which Beatha could handle with ease. Then the headaches started. They were sharp, like needles being pushed through her skull every time she moved. Soon the stomach ache followed, and her appetite disappeared. Whenever she ate something, it soon left her body through the same opening again.
At this point, Maeve was called by Beatha’s mate Kunsgnos. Using her healing magic would normally do the trick, but this time was different. Nothing worked: Maeve’s healing magic, Lavena’s potions – even the spells from an outside traveller – everything failed.
Small puss filled abscess’ started to appear on her body. Her eyes turned yellow, and her face lost color. The clan feared the worst – nothing like this happened before, and they had no idea what to do.
Maeve felt there was still one option left – contacting the Gladekeeper herself. And that’s exactly what she did. The Guardian locked herself into the temple for days, meditating and making offers to the Deity. She asked for advice, guidance, a sign – anything to help her friend. But it remained silent.
Outside, in the Cottage, Beatha’s condition kept getting worse. Once the fever started, there was nothing they could possibly do anymore. It took mere hours for her body to shut down. Kusgnos was heartbroken, and left in the middle of the night without a word.
The clan was devastated from the loss. They mourned her death for days after, stopping all work and activities. But life had to continue.
They buried her next to the lake, her favorite place to spend time with her mate. They planted flowers on her grave, in every shape and color, in remembrance of her colorful personality and blooming life.
Life moved one eventually. Her grave grew over with the many flowers, now a small little garden. Kunsgnos hadn’t been seen since the night his mate died. Maeve struggled with her faith, feeling betrayed by the Gladekeeper for ignoring her pleas. But life would soon change again.

The ground rumbled and split, the flowers on top of it shaking from the force. A voice, gentle and calm.
‘Wake up, because my plan for you does not involve your demise.’
A simple order. To obey was the only option. And so she did like she was told.
Beatha opened her eyes.

Hellooo again!
Just posted
a new short story involving Beatha.
I'm kinda tired of my Nature themed lair, and want something a little different. So, even though I just said I won't be doing the main storyline anymore, I will however be doing a short build-up to a big change in my lair and lore! This story is the first in a line of stories involves all of my dragons, to prepare them for a new life. The Gladekeeper herself will make an appearance every now and then too ~

Do You Hate Me?
Involves: Inness, Arturo
Location: Hunting Grounds

Another fish was thrown in the basket, flopping around on top of the other caught fish. Inness had been fishing for hours now, losing track of time. His mother Ula, a blue-winged Wildclaw, had taught him the best ways to catch fish. They had spent hours in alongside the rivers back in the Windswept Plateau before the Great Fire killed her. Thinking about the memory made his heart ache again. He could still hear her screams, swallowed by the flames. His father rushing into their shared home to save his mate, never to return. A tear slowly falls into the stream below him.
“Are you okay?”
Oh, great. Arturo. The spiral boy he absolutely hated. Well, he thinks he hates him. Whenever Arturo is close he gets this strange feeling in his stomach that he dislikes, so that must mean he hates Arturo.
“I’m fishing so be quiet. You’ll scare all the fish away.”
“Oh”, came his only reply.
Inness expected him to leave, as Arturo always does. But instead, he lays down onto one of the rocks alongside the stream. He looks at the water, his brows knotted together.
“Do you hate me?”
The question caught Inness of guard. He always thought he hated Arturo, but to be honest, he isn’t that sure. He looks up at the spiral boy. When he looks in his eyes, he gets that strange feeling in his stomach again. He tries to ignore it, but he can’t.
“I don’t know.”
“You either hate me or you don't”, Arturo replies softly, looking away. Inness sees tears in his eyes and the strange sensation in his stomach turns into a sick feeling. He doesn’t want Arturo to feel sad.
“I don’t. I think. I’m just not sure, okay? You make me feel weird and I don’t like it but when you feel sad it makes me sad too and I just… I don’t know.”
Arturo smiles gently at Inness but looks away quickly. There was a comfortable silence until Arturo speaks up.
“Can you teach me how to fish?”
“…”
“Please.”
“Okay.”
