You start to walk to the far end of one of the paths and you let your eyes glide over the books. Nothing really piques your interest, so you continue walking. You do this a few times in different paths but can't find the scrolls you're looking for. Frowning and looking around again, you spot a large female snapper walking towards you. Her mate Maeve is always close by to help her in any way possible. Aife is responsible, practical, and protective – this shows in the way she leads her clan. Even though she is combat trained, she prefers a peaceful solution. She works hard to make sure her clan is safe and satisfied. She’s wise, observing and open-minded. This helps her in her healing practices, as she sees what’s wrong very soon and knows how to act immediately. Aife is her mate. Her brother Elgin was killed, who was also her Charge, in the Great Fire. She wants revenge for his death but knows she can’t leave her clan behind. She was found near her old home by Venetia and was adopted by her. Not bonded by blood, but by heart, their relationship is as strong as can be. Even though she’s a Plague dragon, she does not find any satisfaction in combat, but she also won’t shy back for it. Being a fae, she’s energetic and a little chaotic at times. She’s also a fast learner and very resourceful which is very helpful in her job as Potionmaster. Does not take anything for granted and won’t be satisfied with half did work. Keeping the peace is very important to her. He’s arrogant and solitaire, preferring the company of nature of that of other dragons. He loves learning new things and researches the flora around the clan’s territory as a Botanist. Sometimes he gets a little lost in his research and findings, and his mate Beatha has to make sure he takes care of himself. Water has a very calming effect on him. He disappeared after the death of his mate. He is very familiar with his own strengths and weaknesses and will use this to his advantage. He can be rather skeptical towards her choices but usually follows them. He’s best friends with Arturo, even though they have a love/hate relationship. They tend to slip away together to explore but always return back home. Their bond was strong, and they were inseparable. After leaving their clan in search of Elgin’s Charge, they stumbled upon Quarteshy in its first days and decided to stay. When the Great Fire hit, Elgin was killed. Maeve was completely devastated at the loss of her brother and Charge. Her heart broke, and she has never been the same since. She gave him three of her blue feathers at his birth, and he still has them. She died in the Great Fire alongside her mate. They found their place in Quarteshy and had a son, Inness. When the Great Fire hit, he ran out of their lair with Inness. He noticed Ula was still inside and ran back to rescue. That was the last time he was seen, and it’s assumed he perished with his mate, leaving Inness parentless. She’s was appointed to act as a buffer when there was a conflict in the clan, as she could calm down both involved parties with ease. She recently died of an unknown sickness which couldn't be healed by both Maeve's magic and Lavena's potions. Its local headquarters is the House of Representatives. These fields are known for their large quantity of colorful flowers, both for aesthetic views and medicinal use. It's called the Cottage, because of the homely feel it gives Nature dragons. Magic is flowing through the air here, and many dragons from all over Sornieth come here to meditate. No one knows for sure how the number of remains came to rest in those caves, but the clan's hunters adopted it as their second home. The Hunter's Lair is the main hub where the hunters gather their caught prey and clean it for consumption for their clan. The Lair is filled with ornaments like bone carvings, dreamcatchers, and fur.[/size] [font=Fantasy][color=#21613F][size=5][i]Hunting Grounds[/i][/size] [font=Fantasy][color=#21613F][size=4] This is the main spot for the hunters to catch their prey. Sometimes it's used as a training field.[/size] [size=6][font=Fantasy][color=#21613F][b]The Mines[/b][/font][/size] [font=Fantasy][color=#21613F][size=5][i]Unexplored Tunnels[/i][/size] [font=Fantasy][color=#21613F][size=4] At the Southern edge of the Quarteshy Territory is a vast underground mine system. Part of it is dug out by the clan, but many unexplored tunnels were found too. These caves are being explored to unravel the mysteries of the possible society that dug them. The clan also put down some peat near the entrance to grow mushrooms. This Mushroom Farm is used for medicinal and alchemy purposes.[/size] [font=Fantasy][color=#21613F][size=5][i]Forge[/i][/size] [font=Fantasy][color=#21613F][size=4] Just outside of the mines, the clan build a Forge for their metalwork. It was set ablaze. Many died there that day, and it is still unknown why or who started the fire that destroyed the town. The other ten deities play a small role too, but not as big as the Gladekeeper. Offers a made to their deity, as a thank you for the ground they stand on, the food they eat, and the air they breathe. They also celebrate every other deity festival, but not as abundant as the festival dedicated to the Gladekeeper. Some also celebrate the full moon and the Equinox, but this is more a personal affair than a clan festival. The most important day for Quarteshy, is Remembrance of the Great Fire. On this day, they think back to the day a fire took their home in the Windswept Plateau, and destroyed their clan. Many died in the flames, and almost all who survived left to mourn on their own. Quarteshy will mourn the ones they lost by planting a tree in the Ethereal Gardens. It represents a new life, a contrast to the lives lost.
