Let me step back a little, though. Greetings, again. Your transfers are alright, and fortunately, so are we. We've found out what the box's contents were, and why it was glowing so much: it was glitter.
Let me explain. Our children have been teaching your transfers about pranks and, as I mentioned in my last letter, they've been taking well to the idea, even eager to put it to practice. Well, they thought of a unique prank to play, using the goop that's so abundant around here: they set up traps so that unaware dragons (some times themselves) would get a coating of goop followed by another of glitter, which they had concealed among canopies of glowshrooms so they wouldn't be spotted.
Now we have several dragons walking around looking like disco balls and quite honestly I'm having a hard time keeping a straight face as I write this: it's a brilliant prank. Get it? [i]Brilliant?[/i]

As promised, I investigated the frowny Plague hatchlings in our territory. I must say it was quite the task! I tried to save time and just asked them what was wrong, but they’d all mumble something inaudible and walk away. I even asked the other dragons to speak to them about it, but they had just as much luck as I did.
So Plaguelings and Shadowlings alike gathered to find a solution to our little predicament. At first it was suggested to have more hatchling activities, which we did. While all other hatchlings seemed to enjoy the new playgrounds, our frowny ones paid no heed to it. We then tried to have other hatchlings invite them to play, but it didn’t quite work out. I suggested that the hatchlings might be homesick and we all decided to gather anything remotely Plague-like to build a small playground that would feel like home to these little guys.
No luck! They had no interest in it whatsoever. Some of our own hatchlings are playing there now, so it hasn’t all gone to waste, I suppose.
But you see, we were all getting desperate and worried. Just what was making these hatchlings blue? We couldn’t figure it out!
Then, just like that, the answer seemed to fall from the sky directly into our laps. There was a Nocturne helping us with entertainment, organizing a play of sorts. He was a natural at acting and wanted to entertain our new arrivals with some lighthearted fun. Everyone seemed to adore his plays, and imagine our surprise when we saw some of the frowny hatchlings peeking from over bramble bushes during our Nocturne friend’s play!
There was this collective lightbulb moment. We all began plotting, and soon enough we had a plan. See, what we decided to do is bring the play to the audience! Or, rather, the shy part of the audience. He got down from the stage, always making sure to stay in character and interact with everyone. When he got closer to the hatchlings, their reaction was instantaneous: they all had smiles in their faces.
Ever since then the hatchlings have been training and practicing their acting skills alongside our newly formed theater troupe. I must say, they are quite skillful! It fills me with happiness to see they’re all having fun now. I hope you’ll be able to see them again the next time our troupe performs!
