Think aloha spirit and that is Makani Haven. The entrances to lairs blend with outdoors. Dragon's come and go for various reasons-business and visiting. It's open to helping out dragons who are looking for permanent homes or just a temporary place to stay.

Makani Haven is located by the ocean at the top of the cliffs right beside the Ashfall Wastes so dragons who like the warmer climates like coatls can feel right at home. The lair is located at the edge of a woods but there is also some beach at the base of the cliff where they can all gather together.

Makani is Hawai'ian for wind per http://www.lowchensaustralia.com/names/hawaiiannames.htm and http://www.papahanaumokuakea.gov/education/cultural_hawaiian_names_wind.html

The Neighbors:
Mithrandir and his clan are beast clan sympathetic and get along with most of the groups in their area. However, there are some clans that are Shade controlled and those cause trouble. Makani Haven dragons do their best to get rid of this sort of trouble often banding together with they beast clan friends.

Generation Tree/Chandelier of Chimes)
My clan will have a large tree in the center of their wind garden known as the Generation Tree. It's from this tree's branches that the Chandelier will hang.

Hello, I'm the one who really keeps everyone organized around here. Please let me explain the jobs to you and introduce you to who does them.

RANKING
LunaXanta and Akikira wrote:
Rank doesn't mean a lot but below is a list:
Windsinger
Elders (“They've had a life-time to learn stories and master their crafts, and they are teachers. They may not travel as much, but are welcomed by all wind clans and readily given a place to stay with any clan that can afford to house and feed and cater to them.” -Luna Xanta)
Masters/Teachers
Adults
Puffs (“They must respect and obey their parents, and they go through a flight-oriented trail to pass into adulthood [see the areas on the map for wind territory. It actually mentions the trail there.]” -LunaXanta)
JOBS
Quote:
“We may dabble in other crafts and make the best kites in the realm, but when it comes to telling tales, and making music and art, we blow the competition away. We alone are the painters, and grand artisans. We are traveling bards, crafters, and musicians, colorful performers and dancers! We are those who tell history in the form of an emotion snatching epic, rather than a bland school power point. We are rhetoricians and novelists and artists.” -LunaXanta

Bards/Wandering Storytellers
“We tell history in dramatized, emotional, personal ways, in the form of a novel, with one viewpoint, so while we are accepting, we tell stories much more aggressively and perhaps biasedly, rather than being cosmopolitan and covering all viewpoints, we tell it how we like to hear it, however it makes the best story. Whether its totally true or fair or not is something I think we are less worried about, because to us all life is just more grand stories.” -LunaXanta

[/columns] ----- SPORTS AND COMPETITIONS
Skyracing These would be large tournaments that happen a few times a year and have many competitors from all over the Windswept Plateau. There would be prizes for the winning dragons and plenty of smaller rewards for other competitors. Kites would be set up all around the skies and the course would run all around the Windswept Plateau, with the most difficult part of these tournaments being a section that runs through the Twisting Crescendo (which would be a safe distance from the eye of the storm). Dragons with medical skills would be placed at regular intervals along the course in case of injuries, and rescue dragons would be there to help if a racer suddenly dropping out of the sky or for some reason fell. There would be more medical/rescue dragons stationed at the Twisting Crescendo than any other part of the course, as it is the most dangerous and difficult part of the race. There would also be various checkpoints where racers could stop for a rest momentarily and get some water/snacks. Most of the time, the races will start somewhere on the Zephyr Steppes and end at the Cloudsong, and the rest of the course changes yearly, sometimes more often than that.

Agility Maybe if there are festivals there could also be sky agility courses and races? Since I think Wind dragons would be the best flyers.
