Breeds: Any/All
Lore:
A vile and unsympathetic creature, a Sanguinity Flower can only be born to a life of bloodshed and evil. Their most basic instinct is hurt and destroy. Some have been known to repress these instincts using natural remedies and support of healing dragons. If they keep a regular schedule, taking the remedies daily and seeing the healers at least once a week, they can become valuable members of society.
Those that can’t repress it (or don’t want to) are normally found bathing in the blood of those unfortunate enough to cross their path. They often have a large lair where they store the valuables of the dragons they’ve offed.
Most travel alone, but some end up in packs under special circumstances. Some SFs have more intelligence than others, and use it to their advantage. They track down others of their kind, and have a face off. If they win, they lay their paw atop the defeated dragon’s head, as if to crush their skull, and wait. If they try to fight back, they earn another thrashing, but if they lie still, they lift the threatening paw, and offer a deal. They keep their life in turn for their servitude and unwavering loyalty.
They continue this until they have a formidable pack, and attack smaller clans, stealing their riches, killing their leaders, and claiming their land. They gain power, until they can take on bigger clans, but this is when it falls apart.
Sanguinity Flowers are not meant to live in big groups. They cannot stand following a leader. Eventually, the leader is killed by a disloyal follower, who then tries to claim leadership, only to start a dominance battle. The pack tears itself apart in desperation to come out on top.
Those that survive the massacre crawl off into the darkness to lick their wounds, leaving the dead to decompose and feed the earth beneath them.
Due to the average low intelligence of the feral dragons, one can keep them as a sort of pet. The hard part is getting them to submit, but when a dragon has them crushed against the dirt, there is a good chance that they will surrender, and they can offer them the life deal.
It is advised that one is careful around their newfound ‘ally’. They are not above treachery, one of the many reasons it is advised that any Flower picked is smaller and weaker than they are. They make excellent trackers, and brutal mercenaries.
Ownership of a Sanguinity Flower is illegal in many flights, the few exceptions are Plague and Shadow.
Honestly, it turns out better for them if they turn a new leaf.
Sanguinity Flowers can only be born to dragons of bloodshed. Their hides must be forever stained with the blood of their enemies, the violence absorbed by the egg, the dragon inside feeding on it as if it were the best thing it has ever experienced.
The more battle the parent(s) have experienced, the more rabid and uncontrollable the instinct will be. Those who have seen uncountable wars have no hope for their children, and often don’t have any at all, out of pure fear.
Their intelligence is entirely random. Genius parents do not ensure an intelligent Flower, they seem to acquire it over time, the few that can, anyway.

Hi there! I'm RinnaBear, the breeder and lore creator of Sanguinity Flowers, and don't forget @Koray , the original creator of Sanguinity Flowers. (Thank you for showing me the idea, I had no idea it would go this far ;w; )
I created this thread to help spread SFs and hopefully make them more popular.
In this thread you can advertise any you have for sale, or you could look for some to buy. You can search for mates here, or maybe ask about variants or any other questions you have about the subspecies. If you know of any other breeders, please do tell me, I'd love to add them to the ever-so-short list!
I hope you all play nice and have fun with the new Subspecies!
