[center][size=6][u]F.A.Q.[/u][/size][/center] [LIST=1] [*][b]Hey, how does this shop work?[/b] I'm glad you asked (please bear with me) The shop works with a pinglist system. Meaning that you can sign up for the pinglist at any time, and as soon as I clear the current queue of orders, I'll open more slots and ping everyone. [*][b]How do order slots work?[/b] The way I work with taking orders is by making slots, which are mostly just placeholders for a single client. In your slot you can ask for as many breeding cards as you want, or for a full graphics set! Go wild! That being said, I do differ between graphics and breeding cards, since I tend to work on the cards as a batch. That also means that if you placed orders for both kinds you'll take up two slots, and will need to send 2 CRs for it, so I can accept each one as I complete the orders. [*][b]CRs?[/b] Oh, payment policy. My worst nightmare by far. So here's how it works: After you place your order, send the form and I give the ok, the next step is sending me a one-way CR for the whole total. No 50/50, and no payment after delivery. [*][b]I still don't get the payment policy! Why send a CR ahead of time?[/b] Well, doing so seems to solve most of the problems I've faced before when people were free to pay whenever. [LIST] [*][u]People disappearing without ever paying:[/u] I collect payment after I deliver the completed and finished order, and not one second before. But! If the CR is already there, I can get paid as soon as I finish! [*][u]Anxious clients:[/u] I get it, it's nerve-wracking waiting for weeks while I work and not knowing if [b]I[/b] ran away with your dragon cash! But worry not; with this system I won't complete the CR until I've delivered your goods, so you can rest easy. More than that! You don't actually lose any money if there are delays or any sudden problems, so worst case scenario we can just cancel the CR and no one got a cent poorer! [*][u]Losing track of orders: [/u]I try to keep a neat and up to date log of all orders at the main page, but sometimes things can get hectic. When in doubt, I just take a peek at my incoming crossroads and I can see what orders need working on! More than that: I can work on orders in the order the CRs came in, so people that rushed to send their payment get rewarded over the odd vanishing ghost that drops an order and poofs away. [/LIST] [*][b]Bribe slots? What's up with that?[/b] As we already established, there's a pinglist. You gotta wait and be pinged to have your turn and order Sometimes folks get antsy. Sometimes the queue gets long. So why don't you try and convince me to take an extra order[s] when I'm already freaking out with college and 100+ cards?[/s] Bribes pretty much mean that if the shop is on hold, the queue is full or whatever may the the case, you can offer me something extra to get ahead of the queue, get VIP treatment as I finish your order on a deadline, or just take another order and add it to the pile [*][b]What can I bribe you with?[/b] You can pay me with: [LIST] [*]Treasure/Gems (always a crowd pleaser) [*][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&tab=dragon&id=39314&did=17983905]Wishlist items[/url] [*]Anything you think might interest me, really! I'm sure a single green sludge and a pile of sand are marvelous, but are they really fair in exchange for the 4+ hours I'll stay slumped over my drawing tablet? Just keep in mind what you're asking for, and how much work goes into it. Ask me for a full graphics set for 10kt and you risk getting the "Graphic design is my passion meme" [*][b]I changed my mind by the time you finished and now I need you to re-do everything from scratch. Like 5 times. Right now[/b] In light of some previous orders I've had to work on, I figure it should be fair to warn you all: I will not re-do everything once it's done. Some past orders have had me re-do everything from scratch 2-3 times, taking around 6 hours each time when I barely had anything other than a color to start with. If you gave me plenty of references, ideas and stuff you want included, odds are I have a reasonably good idea of what elements you want and what I should aim for. It's alright if you want some slight modifications, but every time some tiny thing is changed when I have to change every single bit in some 20+ files it takes [i]a lot [/i]of time and work This is not aimed at you (random possible client) in the slightest, but last time I spent an entire week with 5+ hours a day for $10 in imaginary currency it really wasn't a lot of fun - I make these as a hobby, and taking it as seriously as the job I neglected to work on them instead isn't my goal at all [*][b]Somehow I still want to order from you!
