Kirino's experiment with the corpse of a dragon-sized insectoid creature went horribly, horribly wrong. The Collective was born from this horror, and quickly slipped out of Kirino's control. The Collective poses a threat to both the dragons of Sorineth and the Hivemind itself, as he is amassing a group of his kind by indiscriminately hijacking drones from other hives or assimilating them from neighboring clans.
