The Protectors, led by Commander Ivy, are the guardians of the clan. Dragons must undergo intensive training to become Protectors. The Protectors include four sub-groups:
- Warriors, who fight to defend the clan. Higher ranked Warriors guard nobles directly, while lower ranked ones protect commoners.
- The Claws, assassins and spies who dismantle foes covertly.
- Scouts, who report happenings within the island and beyond.
- Enforcers, who uphold the law throughout the island.
