Or should I keep the standards as is?

I say add Firebreather as an option for all dragons since I feel more choices is always a good thing.

I say add firebreather but keep carnivore, if only because ancients in the past were added without firebreather but with carnivore. Maybe carnivore can be tied to ancients for a lore reason of some kind [maybe their hunger for approval of either the plaguebringer (gladekeeper for blights) or their focal tends to run stronger due to how closely tied they were to the gods before]? In either case, always love adding new genes to the pool to make subspecies and variants more accessible to players!
