TOPIC | Alchemy: more cauldrons, using stacks
It has gotten to the point alchemy has become PAINFULLY slow, while the number of recipes that require alchemy items are increasing.
Right now we only have 1 cauldron where we have to do everything.
When I think of alchemy, I think of a lab. A workbench next to a cauldron.

Having a separate work station/cauldron for new brewing and one for conversions would be a great start already.

Also: stacks! I want to be able to convert my 10 yellow into 20 green. People are barely selling green, mostly stacks of 1 item at high prices, which is annoying especially during festivals. I don't care if I have to throw gems/treasure to unlock this, level it up, or solve 10 captchas per attempt, just let's make this feature a little less painful.

I think that being able to purchase (or even craft) more cauldrons would be a good idea at this point.

I think a max of three, maybe four cauldrons would be fine.

As for brewing stacks, I think a system like that would be helpful, but full stacks is probably a little too much. Being able to put five items in the cauldron to melt down would be nice -- balanced by the output being all the same color and perhaps a slight time decrease (ex: 5 items would be 2.5 hours if reduced normally, so make 5 bulk items take 1hr 45m to reduce).

In support of this.

Maybe unlockable cauldrons via levels or T/G purchases similar to unlocking nests/lair slots with a max of 5, similar to that of Nests? As for stacking, you can unlock a queue by levelling up, gaining 1 item in the queue pet 2 levels.

As for balancing for that, they have to be the same item and will produce at a lower rare color rate. You can also stack familiars and apparel with different items due to the inability to stack them in piles. I agree with @/McAlli on less time brewing to make up for this, maybe except instead it takes 10% less time (Ex: 5 hours becomes 4 hours and 30 minutes)

Got hit by the shadow milk beam I’m now obsessed with him
Support for *some* way to speed things up. I basically constantly have my cauldron melting stuff down in between festivals, and it's painfully boring.

Support, I've maxed out my cauldron and it is a battle of priorities to see what I brew next. Do I brew prismatic tokens? Or those scrys I've been neglecting? Oh I've run out of purple sludge? Having more cauldrons would really help with this.

Support for a second cauldron that can be bought/unlocked.

No support for any queue feature however. Melting/transmuting is an extremely profitable grind activity that players both new and old can make very good treasure off of; a queue would severely negatively impact that.

It's basically the only site activity that even comes close to being as profitable as the Coliseum and since auto-battling in the coli isn't allowed I don't think a site-sanctioned auto-brew feature is fair either.

support for more cauldrons or a **limited** queue

like. perhaps queuing 10 items to be melted means you have to pay to melt em in treasure. or maybe there's loss involved, like melting 10 items only gives you 5 goo, so its still more profitable to goo things one at a time?

or maybe mass-goo has a baldwin material associated, like you need to use some number of beakers up in the creation of mass-amounts of goo?

I really like the idea that the place you transmute stuff and the place you make stuff is different, cause irl I don't think scientists make stuff like eyewear using acid (which is what I'm assuming that Baldwin is using to turn stuff into goo and slime). Also as you level up you could like unlock more cauldrins, both to be able to make more stuff at once and transmute more stuff at once. Like a queue.

Mmmm, not sure about extra cauldrons as I think they'd have to re-balance the brew time of everything. But I do wish they had some kind of storage feature or marking feature where you could mark an item for transmutation and it'd show up right at the top when you go to transmute. Scrolling through a huge list in search of fodder fams/apparel or food etc. can be annoying. Wouldn't need any re-balancing for that, it'd just be a nice quality of life change.
