I actually like the design and think it would look very strange if the long fur had markings. They'd be washed out because the strands of fur would overlay each other. Non of the other breeds have markings on the long furred areas either: See all these manes being longfurred and without markings? Its not a bug or error but a thoughtfulö design. If you don't like it on that breed you don't have to use it for this breed.

I agree it does look out of place, but Ekon's explanation that all the breeds with long fur don't have markings on them does make sense.

However, I don't agree that it would look strange if long fur had markings. Many cats, even long furred ones, have distinct markings on them. It just means that all the fur has the same color pattern on it.

I think it would have looked nice if they had done the bold stripes and not the little intermediate ones on the furred areas, but I don't think they will cahnge it now, as it doesn't seem to be a mistake.

I thought that it's a gene coloring error, like a part of it was not coded properly? Especially since I tried it out on my last basic primary tundra, and it didn't change at all, like Lionfish was applied only partway.

If it's not an outright error, yes, I support doing something to it because it a very big area that's just basically left Basic.

Edit: Coatls' fur vest gets some sort of pattern without obvious stripes, perhaps something similar could/should be added to Tundras too?

Half support.
I see why they dint do it but like somebody else said maybe something dull or just some stripes. It kinda looks too empty. Otherwise I am loving the new genes!

looking for adorable fluffy adoptables?
You can find them here
Support. Sure it looks cool... but so much unpatterned fur...it just looks bland and odd.

I actually like it on the examples you gave. It gives something different to work with

Support! I’ve seen one person (in a different thread) say they kind of like the break in how busy it is, but everyone else seems to be bummed about how half-finished Tundras look. It does seem very strange to me, especially since all other genes show up on Tundras’ thicker fur. :’o

Eh, kinda support? I honestly really like the way it looks now since it makes the distinction between the different fur types more clear. But maybe a bit of patterning would be nice, but more faded/less contrasting than the main body pattern? Like look at stone bar on tundras for example: I like how drastic the difference is and wish there was more of that for tundras 'cause then maybe I'd actually like them more. However, if this was their original plan (as in, art for the patterns on the long fur doesn't exist) but they decide to go back on it and make the art, I'd rather the staff fix the extremely long list of other gene mistakes first since this one would probably take a long time to complete compared to other errors that have been around for years.
