There were a few fumbles along the way, the ice wasn't kind to a dragon of his size, and a few moments where he paused after a splash of water had defiled his feet, but he sured up his footing and closed the gap. ...Well. He closed the gap as much as he could safely do, anyway, the ice around the other dragons was rather more broken up than what he'd been walking on so far, and the sea did look awfully cold and uninviting today, even more so than usual. From this distance he could now make out the shape of the other dragons on and well, beside the ice, and he could now just about see the third that he'd missed before, a mirror with the perfect camouflage for this kind of environment. Sunny fumbled for a moment, considering coming closer, testing the ice with one foot and then retracting it. Probably not wise, he thought. So instead he called over to the little dragons, in the friendliest tone he could muster. "Unusual day for a swim," Better you than me, lunatics, he thought, "Are you all okay over there?"

"Tundra grubs are one thing, but aranea? Foul." Her expression turned thoughtful and then brightened. "But, if you are looking for tundra grubs, why not travel with us? We are heading towards the tundra. A little ways away, there's a sizable ice floe that mimics the tundra. It is not too far that you have to walk away the way to the tundra, but it's far enough inland that the firebreathers can't reach. I've seen plenty of tundra grubs skittering about here and there." While Terrangeli blithely talked on, Stiria saw a massive shadow come up behind her. She turned around and hissed. It was just a big as she had thought, and bigger. The strange dragon dwarfed the normal quardians, and from way down below Stiria could make out a flash of green. That was strange. Normally the nature lovers tended to avoid the frost. He seemed amiable, but Stiria remained wary.

I am always looking for dragons with the same primary and secondary color and are either Iridescent, Shimmer, not a plentiful breed, or more than one of the above.

He didn't come any closer, just sat himself down on the ice to confirm that he really wasn't asking for a fight, he was in no mood and he worried about the results of a tussle with so much cold, cold water about. He cocked his head on one side at the older Mirror. "Never seen a Ridgeback before, have you?" He asked, idly running one hand across his collarbone as he did so. Then an amused smile, "Take a look for as long as you like, I won't bite if you don't."

Moving away from the floe edge, Stiria turned to inspect the large dragon a bit more closely. He had tiger stripes running down his body like Terrangeli, but his bright green rings were marked with what looked like humongous eyes. It was peculiar, for sure. "What are you doing among the ice?" Stiria questioned, her tone with just a hint of a bite. "I assume the tundra would be a much safer place to wander for someone of your size."

He tapped one claw on the ice to show his point. The Nature dragon was very used to the natives treating him like he was some kind of idiot (even though he'd called the Icefields his home for longer than many who mocked him), he learnt that getting mad and biting back was rarely the best way to deal with them. The Mirror wanted to be unfriendly? Let her, so long as she knew that Sunny posed no threat to her it was unlikely that her unfriendliness would turn to hostility. "And what brings you to Floes? There can't be much of anything to hunt out here."

"Aranea are bitter, spiney things." And their legs got caught in her teeth. It was terrible. But the thought of fresh grubs in the snow made her whole crest perk up with hope. "I'll do anything for a chance at some fresh grubs!" She'd not heard or discovered of the large floe the mirror was talking about; she was a bit unfamiliar with the territory overall. It was only recently that she'd left her home clan to found her own, and the only territory available for her and her mate was out here, closest to the conflict. Then there was a rumbling voice from somewhere above the edge of the ice, deeper than even her mate's, though Wasp lost the particulars of the words in a sudden gust of wind. Looking up, the second mirror had disappeared, and there was a sudden small wave in the water -- as if a great weight had disturbed the floe above. "Where has your friend gone?"

"I have still not a clue how faes find those disgusting little bugs delectable, but I suppose all things considered tundra grubs would probably be the cream of the crop." Terrangeli glanced up briefly, noting the lack of Stiria on the edge and the new presence of a giant wave. Terrangeli remained still for a second, waiting for some action, but nothing occurred. "Mother? Oh, she is probably nearby. She seems not to be angered by the giant being, so I assume it is safe."

Her own mate often turned his nose up at Wasp's favorite beetles and grubs, though occasionally he gave in and ate them. "They are crunchy and juicy and they fit perfectly in your mouth. You don't know what you're missing." But it was fine if the mirror wanted to stick to bloody, stinky meat. It just meant more grubs for Wasp. "Giant being?!" Wasp looked up again, but she could make nothing out from where he was, just more of the deep rumble. "How giant can anything get out on the floes?" Curious -- and also finding the prospect of tundra grubs on the floes much more appetizing than aranea in the water -- Wasp scrabbled up onto the ice, clinging to the edge as she shook out her wings.

Eventually she resorted to her mother's technique of digging her claws into the ice for a hold (as much as it would blunt them, to her distaste), and swung her body up. She glanced up at the ridgeback, her mouth dropping in awe of the giant. She inspected him closely, before smiling. "Hello there, mister!" Terrangeli chirped cheerily. He seemed nice enough, and was sitting placidly on the ice. "I like your stripes." Proudly, Terrangeli raised her wings to display her own.
