Eventually Nala got bored. She yawned and headed to her room flopping down on her bed and starting to draw. She let her mind wander, the story she had been constructing in her head spiraling onwards.
The kids had no idea where they were. With life in the forest flourishing so much since the past season it was impossible to find the old trails.
“Simon I think we are lost!” Belle squeaked terror shining in her beautiful green eyes.
“Please Belle you cannot worry” Simon answered her but in reality that was exactly what he was afraid of. The two continued to wander, trying to find at least one landmark that would lead them back to the small valley they lived in.
Suddenly a growl could be heard from the underbrush. Both children froze in agonizing fear. A lanky grey wolf emerged from the brush, it’s eyes were wide and crazed. Foam dripped from it’s muzzle and speckled the browning leaf litter as it barked at them.
“What do we do Simon?!” Belle asked in a panicked but low voice
“I don’t know...” he answered watching the wolf with calculating eyes...
