A young boy, seemingly the age of 11, had reached the Pokémon Lab in the small village of Zephyr Town. It was the day he would get his own Pokémon. He would have gotten it, well, a year ago, but there was... an incident back then. He opened up a brochure he had, and read aloud the three Pokémon he could choose from. "Paudthera, the Grass Lion Pokémon... Kobari, the King Cobra Pokémon... and Paarsidae, the Cub Pokémon."

A Ten-year old boy came running towards the lab. He was so excited to finally get his first Pokémon! He always grew up around him, since he lived in the village’s farm. He already knew the three Pokémon available here, and he was hoping he’d get to the lab earlier before the Pokémon could be snatched away.
He stopped in front of the lab, it seemed that someone else was here too, but he wasn’t quite late at all. He sighed with relief and heard the older boy speaking. He wasn’t quite sure what Pokémon he would choose just yet... but he knew that he’d have to think carefully quick!
( what types are these? I might make some art-)

(sorry for responding so late, i was having a conversation with someone! paudthera is grass type, kobari is fire type, and paarsidae is water type! and for more clarification, paudthera is an asiatic lion cub, kobari is a king cobra... child, and paarsidae is a sloth bear cub)
The older male, not taking notice of the other child, only a year younger then him, entered the lab. It was... fairly big, not as large as the buildings in Eclipse City, but larger than the houses of the village. He overviewed the Pokémon again, then approached the three Pokéballs housing them. The Professor didn't seem to be at the lab at the moment, which was... quite suspicious...

Zach crossed his arms and watched as the older boy walked in the lab. Weren’t they supposed to wait for the professor- he facepalmed and walked inside with the boy. There were three Pokémon lined up, waiting for their trainers. He scratched his head and looked around for the professor, where was he...?
He turned to the pokeballs in pure confusion.

The older boy grabbed one of the Pokéballs, which was marked with a symbol of a leaf. He looked over it, for he had never seen a Pokéball before, and accidentally pressed the circle in the middle, opening it. A Paudthera leaped out of the Pokéball and turned to the boy growling, then strutted away scornfully.

Zach watched the Pokémon that had just got out of it’s pokeball. “Pfft-“ Zach couldn’t help but laugh. He already knew which Pokémon he wanted, he wanted a water type Pokémon... he wanted a water type.. which meant that he wanted a Paarsidae. He picked up the pokeball that had a water symbol on it. He curiously pressed the button, and a bear cub Pokémon jumped out and plopped onto the ground lazily.
He smiled and sat down with the Pokémon, “ Where’s the professor?” He asked the older boy, hoping he’d know.

“Well we should probably make sure they don’t make a mess of the place...” Zach said as he stroked the small bear cub Pokémon. He then stood up and picked up the little Paudthera and stroked it’s head. It seemed to calm down a little. He was good with Pokémon, a little to good with them.. Well, it was just one of the perks of living On a farm! He sat down next to the Paarsidae with the Paudthera in his arms, “ Should we look for him perhaps?”

"Sounds like a good idea. Although, he'll probably hear us anyways." The older boy picked up the Kobari by its tail. The Pokémon was hissing angrily and trying to bite him. "...and we also have to do something about this Kobari..."
