Delia pokes her head around the open door, very slowly slinking her way through the hut.
"Reminds me of my old home when Yonder was in one piece...granted it was covered in brambles instead of sitting in a swamp. Hello?"
Caraway eyes the hut up and down looking for any sign of whom their guide had escorted them to. Her black mane dragged through the heavy marsh water, staining it black with every strand.

Caraway gently knocks on the open door.
"Sandstone is it? Hello?"

The home opens up into a large circular room. The walls are shelved with old tomes, books, pots of powders, vials that glow, jars of bones and feathers, and living bugs and reptiles as smoke simmers in the air. In the center, a large cauldron is openly bubbling and frothing. Inside it boils a shimmering orange hued brew. From the shadowy alcove on the far side of the room, a rabbit colored like the very sun itself takes off across the room like a shot. The emblem of light graces its forehead.

"Ah, my foreseen travelers have arrived," a voice carries throughout the hut. From the alcove, a large Bogsneak rests on a feather-filled mattress laden with furs. Candles burn on the ground by her alcove. She raises to her feet and leaves her bed. Her body is draped with golden silk and laced with bronze sylvan. A python weaves his lithe and long body around her heavy paw. "Welcome, friends, to where here I reside. I am Sandstone and here I brew, now tell me, what troubles are pursuing you?"

"Please, I desire to stay as I am," Nicholas is relieved to be out of the throne hall. While he's still in his clothes from that night, he already feels much better to be out of that suffocating memory. The new world around him fills him with a sense of peace and tranquility. "Your home is beautiful," Nicholas kindly praises, "but, I must be honest with you, god, it infuriates me that now suddenly you listen to the prayers cried out to you."

Nicholas brews with silent wrath. He continues to walk beside the Pearlcatcher. His amber eyes burn like roaring coals as he focuses ahead in deep thought. "Please, understand. I do appreciate your help and friendship with Suilil, but why after so long? Thousands of people, family, gone. Your council heard us and did nothing. Tell me why I should keep going, and what has happened to my physical body?"

(UGh! it deleted itself D: sorry if this seems lazy, but I absolutely hate retyping things (pet peeves)

"I'll keep it simple, Nicholas. We we're born a little bit after the Great Four risen from their depths and made your world. We did many things but were casted away, into the shadows and sealed into books. Dragons followed them into the light. I was lucky to hear Suilils prayer. If those.. those idiots and power centered dragons gotten to it first..Some other dragons would be dead." He moves through the town, being careful with the human in his palm. Dragons don't move, they simply.. walk through him.

A door comes into view, made of spruce oak and old lanterns and coins. Flowers of all kinds (withered and new) are tucked into the broken candles. Clouds lazily move out of the door. Words written in red can be seen.

WHY DID YOU ABANDONED US?
HOW COULD YOU?
WE NEED YOU.
WE'RE SUFFERING, PLEASE RETURN.
DONT COME BACK IF YOURE HUNGRY FOR POWER.

Hypnos is oblivious to the words. "I have to be honest with you Nicholas.. I need your help just as you need mine. Famine has taken over my body. I am tired of laying in snow. I just.. tired in general. I want to see my wife. I want to see my child. My only.. living child.. but I need your help. I need people to learn about us. I need them to pray to me, them. My wife. Her. Everyone." He sighs. "I sound selfish. I'm.. embarrassed." He hangs in head in shame. "You need to keep going.. to help the ones you love. Us. The gods need help. They're all at War for power. We used to be so peaceful and happy. We're all scared." He keeps his head low.

(blegh, thats annoying. its ok frend c:)

Delia darted over to the cauldron and peered in with a twisted smile cracked across her face as the bubbling brew shone onto her pale, scarred face.
"Oh yes, this will do nicely.."
She snapped around to the bogsneak and smiled.
"So you are Sandstone!! Please to meet your acquaintance, we've come to prefect a brew! Or at least keep the brew stable enough while my apprentice guides the rest of our friends through the brambles and can enchant it with her magic.."

Delia's blight nymph poked its head out of the tattered rags draped around her body and fluttered over to the rabbit out of sheer curiosity. It touched the bright spirit's mask and fluttered there for a while.

"As she said, we've come to refine a brew that had...adverse side effects on Nicholas. Will you help us?" Delia explained.

The faintly glowing rabbit sits back on its haunches as the blight nymph approaches. It's long, soft ears perk up as the two greet each other curiously. Meanwhile, the Bogsneak slithers to Delia's side and peers into the cauldron alongside her. "About your present arrival, I knew," she says, "thus, I quickly put together this brew. While your potion is not yet right, perhaps this can stabilize the resulting blight. Add within, a drop or two, and maybe a fix will come to you."

Sandstone purrs as she browses her massive collection of ingredients and recipes. "A fellow maiden is welcome here," she seems content, pleased, "most who travel this far are desperate, or mad with fear."

Nicholas sits relatively still in the palm of the Pearlcatcher. He doesn't want to accidentally fall. As Hypnos speaks, the Prince observes the dreamscape. His nerves grow cold as they pass the horrible words on the massive doors. A phantom memory echoes in his heart. His own sobbing voice whispers in his ears, "what have my people done? They are innocent, have mercy! I'm the one to blame. I failed to save my father, please, free my people!"

"Never in my life would I have imagined a day where a god is begging for my help," he whispers, "but, fear not. I will never give up on my family." Nicholas promises with a determined smile. "I understand your pain, Hypnos. Suilil feels it most desperately, as do all of my remaining people. I will help you, but you must understand that saving my people, and Kai especially, is my top priority."

The human prince gently lays his hand on the side of the massive dragon's head. Hypnos' eye alone is larger than Nicholas entirely.

He hurrs. "Thank you, but no mean to rush you.. but I only have so much time left. I wish I could show you where to learn about us. It's such.. a magnificent library." He walks through the doors and into a very cold atmosphere. The cave is illuminated by all sorts of life. Jellyfish slowly drift in the small rivers, fungi grow from the ceiling. He walks slowly. A large tree is in the middle, an egg settles in the middle. "We all call this the Tree of a Thousand Voices." He murmurs and sets Nicholas down. Pools collect petals by the base and carry them off a waterfall. The waterfalls echo in the cave.

"This is where I was born into play." He smiles. "I can't do much right now, so I will teach you all that I know." He sits suddenly and makes a fire appear in front of him for the human. A sleeping bag also appears. He thinks hard, what else does a human need? "I remember waking up, clear as the night sky. God of the Moon and Goddess of the Sun both stared at me with wonderful eyes. I suppose I was their child? I don't know. They looked proud. It took me weeks, weeks I say! To walk!" He laughs, it echoes throughout. "Imagine this, small dragon stumbling about with its snout in the ground."

Delia shrieked to her blight nymph playfully flies about, turned stiff at the loud scratchy voice. It flew over to Sandstone, helping to carry materials to the cauldron as Delia slipped on her skull mask and grimey goggles that glowed orange from the bubbling brew below her twisted grin.
"I'd be lying if I said we were not afraid or desperate, outr home had been destroyed by Legion, and us pushed to the darkness of shadow's brambles.."

She stirred the contents about and watched the ingredients boil into pale yellow swirls, and then turned to Caraway reading in the corner of the room towards the door. Caraway held open her journal as she walked about the room slowly, past shelves of odd bottled ingredients writing everything down. She turned to Sandstone and held her pen up above the page

"This place is so entriguing...everyone and everything the likes none of us have ever encountered at the plateau. Things were peaceful, but boring..."

Wisp woke up from her brief comatose, drenched in murky sludge. An obscuring goblin crept up from the brambles, watching her and playfully copying her movements as the spiral jumped back onto her feet and weaved through vibes toba faint yellow glow.

Maculatum climbed up a weathered set of stairs now infested by glowing blue mushrooms into a house nestled in a wall of towering pines. Their trunks alone felt more like ancient columns caught by vines and mushrooms all around them. Parts of the house stood on pillars rising up from a deep black pool, connected by a wooden walkway. Maculatum leaned into a dusty window to peer inside, but saw nothing.

"Corona! In here!"
Corona carried the lantern over as Maculatum fumbled about with the keys and Wisp hopped about. A lake of the same black sludge she had recently vomited
The mushrooms grew here too, they latched on to dead logs and bare skeletal trees dotted anong the lake.

With a loud click, the door moaned open and more black sludge dripped out from the doorframe.

Sandstone listens to the conversation as she peers into her large cauldron. She watches the bubbling contents with trained eyes. "The Icarian seas has always been a place for those who seek a home. The Valkyrie purposed this when she built our kingdom. People settle from far and wide, and many found permanent home in the city side. I was one who finally found home. My tribe home was destroyed and my people lost to wyrm blight syndrome. Here I settled with my brew, and here I started a life anew."

The Bogsneak's tongue flickers. Her familiar hops along the floor. It's soft, golden nose twitches lightly as it sniffs along the stone and nibbles at a bug. Sandstone turns and draws to one of the shelves. She grabs a pot of dark-hued powder. "Wrymrot ash is what we need to counteract the ancient deed," she decides. Sandstone breathes, a huff of the ash is sent into the cauldron, and the brew violently broils up as smoke erupts and the liquid burns into a deadly black. "A piece of heart from where it all began," she grins wickedly over her brew. "No longer beneath her horrible curse shall any of us stand. All thanks to you, I thank for this. Without your start it all would be worthless."

The massive tree makes Nicholas feel so, so small. He continues to stare up, full of wonder and awe, as Hypnos prepares a place for him to rest. The prince is grateful. He settles beside the fire intently listening to the Divine Dragon. The Pearlcatcher has Nicholas' full, undivided attention. He memorizes everything he hears so that he may record it later.

"According to my father, before...everything...it took me longer than usual before I began to speak." Nicholas consoles. He can't help but chuckle alongside Hypnos. "I was a shy child, considering the role I was born into."

He nods. "I didnt know my father. I suppose the tree is. Did you know about the eggs tale? If the world is going to end, the egg will hatch. They say it's the next World Serpent, do you know that tale aswell? Where the dragon is wrapped around the Earth, biting its tail. It's said that if it were to release the world would end. Well this Serpent would be the same." He smiles. "I feel like a father all over again." He chuckles and lowers his head onto the ground. He lays.

"I wish I could show you the library. It's grand and beautiful. All artificats are located there. I wish I could show my daughter as well." He sighs and closes his eyes. "The Egg will save us all one day, I am supposed to be guarding it. I'm supposed to be here. But I fled. I fled to the cold woods because I didn't want to die yet. All those dragons flooded into here.. outraged.." The dreamscape begins to crumble and change drastically into a nightmare.

Delia gripped the edge of the cauldron as the ash plume rose, wide eyed and giggling.
"I had been raised under the Plaguebringer's wicked eyes near her bubbling cauldron of infection...horrors I have seen transcended nightmares through her tests. Alchemy was my way to rebuild what she had destroyed".

She looked back to Sandstone, wiping the ash off her mask and slipping off her goggles.
"Is the brew ready for Nicholas? I, want to apologize to him personally. Had I spent more time perfecting the potion, he wouldnt have to suffer the test of plague.."
