Athus was at the top of the stairs when Call collapsed down them, running down to him and lifting him off the floor gently, checking he was still breathing. He was relieved to see nothing vital had snapped in the fall, relaxing a little. "Does he collapse often...?" He asked the room in general, carrying him through to the living room and laying him down on the sofa. Athus knew how to deal with injuries, at least emotionally. He was a soldier, after all.

He wasn't a soldier in the main regiment, Torvald's; he was in an independent faction, one of the split-offs trying to sort everything out while the main incompetent body ran off to play war with the clans. The majority of the fighting was out on the horizon; he spent his time clearing up, finding survivors and supplies, rummaging through the ruins of villages and trying to save as many people as possible in the aftermath. He felt bitter that it was only a split-off trying to do such a thing; the main army should have been back towards Colsar, protecting the trade routes, supply lines and villages, but Torvald thought it was more important to massacre people in the north.

But there was news from the main regiment, and it was coming into the city as they ate their breakfast; a messenger on a smart stallion, primed for war, trained to follow the slightest twitch of a reign and never scare at a flash or scream. He was recognisable, as much as Athus was; their different experiences mitigated in their similar ages, Athus quiet and withdrawn, Aysin ambitious and full of fire. He pulled his horse to a stop in the main square, people already running to spread the news that news had come. They could hear them out on the street.

Hythen had headed downstairs after Athus and Call, looking up at the sudden noise in the street. "I'll check what that is, and leave you to discuss this..." he shook his head quietly, leaving the room and heading out of the front door. Athus made sure Call was comfortable on the sofa before leaving to give June and the group some privacy to discuss what they had to.

(For after they've discussed things)

Hythen returned, pale, poking his head round the door. "You'd all better come. News from the army has arrived, the first from the main regiment in months." He looked a little haunted as he said it, and tired, and more stressed than he had been a moment ago. He called up the stairs for Athus to come as well, and the latter hurried down, already pulling on his coat.

Lucine speedwalked down the street, looking left and right for the young girl. She wanted to call out for her, however she didn’t want to disturb the others on the street in the early morning. She began to let her mind wander again, thinking about the fact they had been sent into the past. If the younger Callum was 3, that meant at the moment Lucine would be anywhere in the age range of 1-3, dependant upon when exactly they were in the year. This meant, of course, her mother was already dead, dashing her hopes of ever meeting the woman. But this meant her father hadn’t disappeared yet. The girl still had a chance to see him again- of course that might not be the best idea. She sighed and continued to search.

As she was about to open her mouth to call out for Thalia, she saw her, running up the street. Lucine immediately perked up, happy and relieved to see the young girl in one piece, even though it looked she couldn’t convince the boy to come back. She was a bit surprised when the girl hugged her, yet she hugged her back.

“I’m very glad to see you’re alright,” Said Lucine as she released the girl, listening to her small sigh as she pulled back. She listened carefully to Thalia’s report, nodding sadly when she stated that she wasn’t able to drag Connor back. “As long as you are okay, I’m happy.” said Lucine, giving the girl a smile.

She nodded when Thalia asked to go home, looking behind them to the house and then taking the girls hand, following her as she was tugged back. She knew the girl was probably tired- it had been a very long night and Lucine was tired as well. She couldn’t wait to get back to her Callum, even though she doubted she’d be able to get any rest when she made her way to Athus’ house. She let out a little yawn, looking down at the younger girl.

She did feel a little pinprick as the sun began to rise, but she brushed it off, entering the house behind the girl. She was delighted to see that Thalia was happy with her straightening up, giving a little nod. “I’m very happy to help.”

She followed the girl upstairs, still holding her hand, listening to the snoring. The father must have returned and passed out in his own room. Lucine sighed slightly, feeling melancholy at the situation. She dropped Thalia’s hand as they entered the room, looking between the sleeping Callum and the Whisper, who looked like it had passed out itself. She dropped Thalia’s hand and walked over to the Whisper, not buying it’s ‘tough’ act.

Lucine nodded as the girl asked if Callum was okay, looking back down to the Whisper worriedly and then watching Thalia crawl into the bed. She blinked as the Whisper pulled her aside, turning her attention towards it instead of the children, looking up at it with a mixture of curiosity and concern. She listened to it explaining the situation, her brow furrowing.

“Sh**..” She whispered, a bit surprised with herself for her choice of words. Callum had passed out again, and Lucine was worried it had something to do with Athus. She wouldn’t be happy if it did- she would rip him a new one. She didn’t question how they were linked together, not really surprised by the fact. She turned back again to look at the children, crossing to them quickly.

Carefully, yet quickly, she tucked them both in, wanting to give them some form of goodbye. She felt bad leaving them, but Callum, her Callum, needed help. She smiled warmly at the two, pushing all of the horrors they may one day have to go through out of her mind for a moment. Right now, they were just two sleeping kids. She turned around and went back to the Whisper’s side, putting her hood up.

“Let’s depart, then,” She said, though she was already walking out the door to the children’s room and down the stairs without waiting for his response.

Felicity looked up as Thalia came outside, standing as the girl approached. She rubbed her head a little, nodding. June wanted to talk to her, and Felicity assumed June was one of the people in charge. She gave Thalia a little smile.

“Thanks, doll.” She told her, scooping up Raven, “I’ll follow you inside. Savin’ the future’s a bit more import’nt than lazin aroun’ out here, eh?”

She was curious what the plan would be. How do you save the future without f***ing things up more? That was a mystery. Felicity remembered her brother telling her once about how he wanted to go back in time, and Felicity remembered her response to this being calling him weird. In her own mind, she chuckled. That loser would’ve loved this.

Felicity watched as the other vampire came outside, the one she wasn’t so fond of, announcing to Thalia that the boy had fainted. She immediately became concerned. She didn’t know the kid, but tumbling down the steps was not exactly a good sign. She looked at Thalia, a bit concerned.

“Probably hi’ ‘is head.” She said, shaking her own, “Mos’ likely tired. I be’ all o’ us are pretty pooped. Time travel prob’ly takes a d*** lot outta ya.”

June felt bad that the vampire had to go through all of this, but there was one thing that confused her the most was that it had picked Tem as the birth mother, usually the baby would be given to the one that had wanted the baby the most, but for some reason Tem was picked over her, she didn't mind it honestly but the vampire certainly did, after all it was a surprise entirely, June hadn't expect for her to regain the ability to reproduce anytime sooner, much or less the baby imprinted on Tem. Vampires weren't the most suitable mothers, she could have handled the child better but in the end it’d make sense that she’d be the one that look out for her bond and their future child.

Then it drawn to her that it must have something to do with her own self, being the Exorcist, when she died out of her mortal shell, a lot of otherworldly entities would come to hunt her down, and that she'd deal with a lot of problem on her own homeland. Tem and her were bonded, so naturally when she dies in this life, the vampire's soul would follow her till they break the bond somehow, and the baby was an entirely new soul that was created when two bonded ones got a chance to be intimate. So their children would always be theirs no matter what timeline they were in.

So the baby had picked Tem, despite her being a cold-blooded vampire, she'd be a more suitable choice when the lynx was entitled to such a dangerous name, the baby was incredibly vulnerable in the first two months, Katsumi had taken that risk and Mareo had came out with difficulty, but they were lucky that he made it into this world unscathed. Their species were selective and carefully planned when it come to reproduction, the baby will only be conceived when the parties were really genuine about their feelings in an intimate moment, not messing around like the humans would and got unwanted pregnancy. The reason that the Shepherd had led them to many different worlds was for them to have a chance to start a family, otherwise their offsprings will be in constant threat back on Narguca, the land was harsher than hell itself.

June laughed nervously again, as Tem demanded her to tell her about the baby and crossed her arms, she rubbed at the back of her neck, turning her head to look up at the standing vampire "Well, a Sunvaar baby can be quite a monstrous eater.. and very picky too for some reason.. but don't worry, love, the baby isn't going make you feel uncomfortable. The baby is going to be like that for the first two months.. rapidly growing and demanding lots of different foods and all that, I'm guessing that blood will be in the diet too.. with lots of other things, I've heard that Katsumi had the weirdest cravings. But don't worry love, I’ll always be there for you and I guarantee that I'm a better parent than Valdis." She laughed.

Honestly Valdis was naturally bad with children, she didn't hate them, but for some reason she couldn't stand being around them for more than fifteen minutes, as soon as they start crying, she'd bail. But she changed a lot for her family, for Mareo, for Katsumi. While June was more natural with children, she wouldn't say that she was good, just enough to entertain them and know how to calm them down whenever they're fussing "Love.." She trailed down to look at the mark on Tem's abdomen as well "The mark will continue to grow with the baby, like I said before, it'll tell you how far you've come. At the beginning of the third month, it'd start to glow slightly, then brighter as each month pass, the baby will have gathered everything it needed to start to develop completely by the third month, with all that excessive eating of the first two." She chuckled.

"Then.. the baby will start to bond with you, its mother." She gave her a soft smile "It'll take the last four months to complete the progress and getting use to everything around it inside you, and often seek comfort and give comfort to the mother, in short, we can start talking to the baby during that time until it's ready to come out." June smiled again, giving her bond an assured look, she was sure that Tem would enjoy it when it comes, the baby wasn't going to completely torment its mother.

As for Valdis and June and the Warriors, they were 'created' on Narguca, but they've been assigned to a certain pair of parents when they were reborn into a new dimension. But for June and Tem's children, they'd be entirely new lives. June finished up her breakfast, now noticing that her bond seem a bit lost in her own thought, it made her tilt her head a bit, wondering what was on Tem's mind. The vampire needs to get used to normal food, or June feared that she might be irritated when the baby forced her to eat them, she sighed a bit, it looks like that she'd have to offer her blood for Tem, but if that makes the vampire content, she decided that she wouldn't mind.

It didn't cross her mind that her drinking pal hadn't return with them in the timeline, June thought that Aerik was out there somewhere with the rest of the Hunters, or lounging in some tavern looking for a good drink with Mark constantly nagging her to let him improve on her peg leg more. They'd meet again soon once this whole madness ended, maybe then Tem and her wouldn't going to jump at each other's throats as much before now that everything returned to the way it was before Visage.

June made a move to stand and follow Tem into the kitchen, offering her bond some help if she needed. She heard that Tem was fetching everyone to the living room where she was. But she was stopped in her track as Callum came tumbling down the stair "Kid!" She called out worriedly and hurried over to him, but Athus had already scooped him up into his arms. She recoiled a bit and moved aside so that Athus could come over to the sofa and to place the boy down, she sighed a bit, now it's not really the time for Callum to faint again, June didn't want to think that Callum was weak, he was young and all of these might have been a bit too much for him sometimes.

She carefully made her way over to Callum, careful not to stay too close to Athus, he wasn't the only one that had problem with her, she got problem with him too after everything that he had done in the future, June couldn't exactly slice him open now that he didn't have any memories of what he had done. June's gaze lingered on the unconscious form of Callum, there was something solemn in her eyes

Sorry kid, that you have to go through all of this

June recalled that the Whisper had told him about her before, what she really is, and how Callum had reacted to that, she couldn't understand why. She didn't say anything in return to Athus' question on Callum, truth is she didn't know whether the kid fainted often or not, but judging by everything he did to himself in front of her before, she wouldn't be very surprised, the kid has some serious issue and she barely knew him that well. She recalled that the Whisper and Lucine were the closest to him, she wasn't aware of their blossomed relationship yet.

She looked up as Hythen offered to go check the commotion that was happening outside, wondering what it was, it might have something to do with the current situation with the Clans. But for now she'd wait for everyone to gather up and Callum to just wake up, so that they could discuss about this whole thing and waited on Hythen's return as well, it could be something important.

The Whisper was surprised to find that Lucine appeared to be concerned about it as it observed her reaction. Now, to its understanding, the girl wasn't all that profane. But it recollected the memory of Lucine calling Eirach all sorts of horrible things as the latter essentially crushed Call, right in front of her, while she was tied up and helpless. However, that was that really as bad as when she herself was tortured, with Call helpless to stop it from happening? It could be, it couldn't be. Eirach hadn't wanted to hurt Lucine, at least, from its understanding. However, Eirach wanted to hurt Call. It knew that if she had had a knife, Call would've been finished, and he would've died before the world ended with a bang.

It would've died before the world ended with a bang.

The Whisper's gaze followed Lucine as she crossed the room to tuck in the children. They looked cute, to be honest, snuggled up like that, unaware of the challenges they were going to face in the future. It wanted to say goodbye to the children as well, however, it stayed where it was. Why? Why couldn't it say goodbye? Was it just wanting to get to its linked partner faster? That was probably it, but it had a soft spot for kids, that much was true. It didn't know if it was a good idea to leave these kids with a father who didn't care about them and another brat who thought it was funny to kick a three year old child around, but at the same time, they had a group to get back to, and a future to change.

It looked at Lucine as she put her hood up. It noticed she was still wearing Call's cloak. She was probably going to be wearing it for the rest of their journey. It was kind of endearing, to be honest. It was like Call had given her the cloak as a gift. Nonetheless, it was ready to get moving. "Yes, let's," it replied, seeing her already walking out of the room. Before it left with her, it quickly crossed the room and looked at the sleeping siblings distantly. "Take care, younglings," it whispered. Thalia, with her eyes closed, happened to smile slightly, as if she heard what it said. It grinned.

"Perhaps your future will bring you joy..."

With that, it turned and left the room, hovering and zooming ahead of Lucine. It stopped a few feet in front of her, just so it could lead her in the right direction. "Come this way," it called, looking in the direction of Athus' house. It could hear the city bustling once more, but it didn't care about that right now. It made sure not to leave Lucine behind as it guided her to Athus' house, away from young Call and Thalia's house.

Thalia smiled as Felicity did, glad she was on the right track, or at least, seemed to be on the right track. Her smile widened a little as Raven was scooped up. Just seeing the pup there, looking happy, made her feel fuzzy, for one reason or another. Discovering that this wolf pup belonged to her brother had made her feel worse back when the world was ending, because she hadn't known and this wolf would've had to say goodbye to her caretaker; she wouldn't necessarily say owner. Callum wouldn't want to own any creature. He was against that kind of thing, as was Thalia.

She looked at Raven as the pup barked happily, glancing towards the door. She seemed to understand what was going on, which was definitely a good thing. "No problem," she replied, giving Felicity a thumbs-up. "I mean, a bit of lazin' around does actually help sometimes. Helps to relax your brain."

Her attention soon turned to Raph as he placed a hand on her shoulder, giving her a serious look. She immediately dreaded what he was about to tell her. "What is it?" she whispered quietly, just before he explained what had happened in the house. When she heard what he had to say, a worried expression formed on her face. She shivered slightly before attempting to shove the dread within her down. She glanced at Felicity as she chimed in, a bit concerned. She nodded, still worried as hell. She prayed to the Spirits he didn't have a concussion, or anything that was worse.

"Let's go," she told them, unable to keep the worry from invading her voice. "Thank you for telling me," she added to Raph, shooting a thankful grin his way before turning to go inside.

"Hey guys!"

She turned around to see the Whisper coming down the street towards them, with Lucine in tow. Oh Gods, was Thalia relieved to see them, especially Lucine. She didn't quite understand how the Whisper and Callum's connection worked, so she was unaware that they could both feel the pain of the other whenever it occurred. She waved to beckon them inside before heading in the house herself, going in to see Athus with Callum in his arms, moving to place the boy on the sofa. She wanted to get a better look at him, to see if he cracked his head open or anything serious like that.

Don't be ridiculous. They would be getting out bandages if that happened.

"Callum..." she murmured, moving to the living room and standing near the sofa. June was there as well; she was going to be the one to initiate the meeting, surely. She glanced back to see the Whisper opening the door further and going inside, looking behind it to check on Lucine before heading directly over to Call. It sucked in a quick breath upon seeing the bruise on Callum's forehead, as well as his arms. "F**k," it swore under its breath, taking out a wet cloth. "Good thing I still have this," it muttered.

Thalia watched as the Whisper pressed the cloth against the bruise on Callum's forehead, expecting him to cry out in pain, but she saw no reaction. He sighed quietly, but that was it. She began wondering what the hell happened to him. He was most likely tired, coming down the stairs. The Whisper looked worried for the kid, which made sense, considering the fact they were linked. It also looked as though it had a headache. After the cloth was there for some time, it pulled the rag away, moving to one of his arms and placing it on one of the bruises on his arm, applying pressure. The bruise on his forehead looked a little better after the cloth was removed. How much medical information did this creature know?

For now, she knelt beside him and gripped his pale hand in hers, giving it a gentle squeeze as she waited for the others to come in. She felt Callum tense, his breathing quickening, which made her even more worried. That was usually what he did when he was having a nightmare. She prayed for him to wake up soon so the group could discuss their options. She didn't even know if he would be up for focusing on anything that was happening around him.

Call found himself in a forest, a creepy one at that. He wouldn't actually call it a forest. Every leaf on every tree was gone, leaving empty husks with sharp branches, giving off an unsettling vibe. The sky was grey and red, the colors swirling together to create something subtle, yet dangerously attention-grabbing. He didn't know of another way to describe it. The first thing he wanted to know was where Lucine was. He couldn't see any of his friends; he was alone.

"Lucine?" he called out. His head hurt a little. "Thalia? Whisper? Raven? June? Where are you guys?" He soon heard the sound of something swinging behind him. He froze up, not wanting to turn around. However, an invisible force moved his legs for him, turning him around to see what was behind him. He let out a gasp of fear when he saw it.

It was a mage, hanging from a rope.

Soon, he was seeing more of them.

Much, much more of them.

They were hanging by the neck, the nooses tied to the branches of the trees. Some of the trees had signs by them, signifying that the human Clans had been there. He felt himself shaking as he tried to back away from them, frightened. He could feel their energy, yet that energy was dying, if not already dead. He could tell they were mages, just by looking at them. Each of them had a different face, a different appearance, a different lost soul. But they all had one thing in common; they were all dead, lynched, just like that.

"N-No..." he murmured, continuing to back away. He felt his back brush up against something, prompting him to whirl around. He had backed up against one of the hanging corpses, with it swinging a bit more when he bumped into it. He felt the urge to scream, yet only a gasp came out of him as he jumped back, startled. He turned in a circle, having no idea where to go.

All of a sudden, he heard angry shouting from a distance, getting ever so closer by the second. The moment it reached his ears, he was running away from it. He was going as fast as his legs could carry him, shouting the names of his friends, but he mainly cried out for Lucine. "Lucine!" he shouted repeatedly, continuing to run. She wasn't returning his call; she wasn't there. None of them were there. He was alone, and he was going to die if he didn't get away.

A root suddenly grew to a larger side in front of him, tripping him. He fell to the ground, feeling as though he had twisted his ankle. He continued shouting, trying to get back up, failing. He was suddenly pulled to his feet, arms wrapped tightly around his own, dragging him backwards. He could feel the anger bristling in the mob of superstitious humans. "Lucine! Whisper! June!" he screamed, struggling against his captors. He couldn't recognize any of the humans in the mob, but he knew they were apart of a human Clan. With that in mind, he kicked and squirmed, trying to activate his magic, yet it wasn't working.

Why wasn't it working!?

He thrashed as he noticed one of the humans holding a noose. He was being dragged towards a tree with no hanging bodies attached to its branches. No. He didn't want to die. He was reminded of the moment before he nearly died in the future. He was scared to die because he didn't want to leave Lucine. He didn't want her to be alone again. Unaware that he was in a nightmare, it looked as though that was going to happen, as there was no way he was going to get out of this one. He could feel tears brimming in his eyes as he became more and more desperate to escape his fate.

"LUCINE!" he cried. "LU-!" He was silenced by a human who had clapped a hand over his mouth. His voice was muffled as he tried to shout for help, but it wasn't working at all. They were tying the noose to the tree now, and his neck was about to be snapped by it. He would be left hanging from the tree, just like the rest of his kind who had suffered as well. As he was about to be hung, his vision blurred heavily, geysers of shadows suddenly bursting from the ground in front of his eyes, swallowing everything up, including him. He screamed for Lucine, but there was no response.

Call gasped audibly when he was snapped out of his nightmare, jerking. He felt as though he was on a sofa, yet he hadn't opened his eyes yet, so he couldn't see where he was. He was breathing heavily, trying not to cry. He wouldn't cry. It was just a nightmare, he was tougher than this, surely, after everything he had been through, he was stronger than this. His head hurt like the devil, making him dizzy, his ears ringing. He groaned in pain, taking notice of how cold his head felt, along with the pain. He was soon feeling a cold cloth being pressed against one of his arms.

"You okay, kid?"

He recognized that voice to be the Whisper's. He wanted to say something, but a moan came out instead. He shivered, having no idea as to what was going on or where he was... or who was around him. He wanted Lucine, that was all he knew. His head pounded as he prayed for Lucine to be close to him. He felt someone gripping his hand, knowing it to be Thalia's. The hand was cold. He shivered again.

"Lucine...?" he murmured, sounding drained. "Lucine..."

"She's comin', kid. Don't worry yourself."

"Are you alright, Callum...?"

Thalia.

"Um... urk..." he whispered unintelligibly. He still felt like he was about to be lynched. He tried to recall how he earned all of the bruises he felt at the moment, yet it wasn't coming to him. It probably would soon enough. He hoped Lucine was safe. He told himself to try not to worry. Lucine was a tough girl, she would be alright. He had to believe in her.

June was pacing around the living room for awhile, the group wasn’t here just yet and now they have to deal with a mental unstable Callum. She felt bad for the boy, especially when she had heard about what he has been through as the Whisper told her, dealing with your own demons wasn’t exactly an easy task, she would know. She stepped aside when another woman entered the room, headed straight toward the unconsious boy on the sofa, she raised an eyebrow at that, June didn’t recognize the woman.

But her and Callum seems to know each other, it made her wondered how much she had missed out when she was taken over by her darker side. Then turned her head to the door as it was flung open, and the Whisper stepped in, of course it would be here when there was something wrong with Callum, she sighed in relief, looks like it brought back Lucine as well. She watched as the Whisper went over and pulled out a wet cloth then pressed it on the boy’s bruised forehead, June looked around for a moment before moving over to the sofa as well.

She leaned forward a bit, hovering over the trio to look down at Callum “Is the kid going to be alright?” June asked quietly, her golden-hue gaze studied his unconscious form for a bit before she walked away again, giving them some space and going to a corner of the room, she sighed and leaned against the wall, keeping an eye on the three. Then frowned as Callum seem to be twitching a bit, it looks like that he was having some unpleasant images going on inside his head, she tilted her head, watching him carefully with a slight frown.

Then another figure rushed in after them, now that makes June alarmed because she definitely didn’t know the guy, and he was wearing very questionable clothing as well. What’s with many strangers that came barging into this house out of nowhere, and also that, just how much has she been missing out? June blinked for a bit, but at least the newcomer didn’t seem to be hostile, and as expected he knew about Callum too, or well, he seems to be of acquaintance to the woman knelt down by Callum more, it looks like that to her. And one other thing that this stranger was no human, she could tell by his unusual aura, something familiar with Tem and Lucine, another vampire? She should be surprise by the sheer amount of vampires she had come across after Tem.

Then uncrossed her arms as Callun jerked awake with an audible gasp, she watched with a slight worried expression, Callum had done a lot of questionable thing as far as she would know him, and she concluded that the kid needs to toughen it up a bit more. She winced a bit uncomfortable, looking away from the trio, decided against saying anything at all, June would wait until the boy was ready and get a hold of himself. She let the closest people to him taken care of him, she couldn’t quite face the boy just yet now that she was aware of the problem, he probably didn’t want to look at the face of someone who was bent on driving his own kind to extinction before.

June’s thoughts wandered off to her bond again, the vampire was the only person so far, aside from the Sunvaar themselves had first-handed witness the Exorcist’s work, but Tem was her bond and she couldn’t harm her in any way, if Callum or anyone else has been in her way, to try to stop her, the result would turn out to be very ugly. It scared her for a moment, that she heard from the Whisper that Callum wasn’t mad at her, but instead he was worried, she couldn’t help but to huff at that, the boy never failed to surprise her, while as the Exorcist, she wouldn’t have spare him a glance before slicing him in half with her scythe. June frowned at the thought. She was sure that Callum wouldn’t have been worried about her if he knows that she wouldn’t hesitated to put him down in cold blood when she was controlled by the Seer.

He rushed in after Thalia, and looked down at Call with a worried look. When Whisper applied a cloth and then took it off, the bruise from the fall on his head seems to recede a bit. He wish he can somehow help, but he had no knowledge about medical. He usually just endure the pain until he recovers. But he suppose human anatomy doesn't work the same way. Though one thing he does know is that quickening breathes and falling down the stairs definitely isn't a good thing.

As Callum whispered some unintelligible words, he relaxed a bit. He's still alive. Perhaps humans are tougher than they seems to be. Perhaps they're toughter because of their bonds. It's as if he can feel all those connections between the ones around him. Some by blood, some by magic, others by love and friendship. It's quite amazing how much one can withstand with a bond in their mind.

Raphael knelt besides Thalia and whispered, "You okay? I'm sure he'll be fine." The truth is, he wasn't sure, due to his lack of knowledge in this field. Nor was he sure why he cares about her. But all he knows is that she comforted him, and so he shall help her when she needs them. Though he do hope he's doing it right, since he doesn't comfort anyone much. Why would he? No one give him encouragement before Thalia.

sketch shop here!
Call started to steady his thoughts. He began to take control of his breathing, slowing it down until it was normal again. He had to get his head in the game. He couldn't stay disoriented like this for too long. He vaguely recalled Tem calling for the group to meet in the living room. June had wanted to speak to everyone about something. But what? He couldn't remember if she stated anything in particular. With that, he slowly remembered what happened to him. After everything he had heard, his past memories had come back to haunt him, and, along with his tired state, they forced him down, causing him to collapse when he was going down the stairs.

"D**nit..." he swore quietly, unaware that he was speaking out loud. He was focused on calming down. He still couldn't erase the horrifying images his nightmare brought, but he had to grin and bear it. He was tired of being this weak. He was sick of fainting left and right, causing those close to him to worry about him. He wanted to be tough for a change. Well, this was the time to toughen up. He couldn't really blame the curse he had for his weakness anymore. Sure, he still had it, but he was starting to think it was he himself who was bringing himself down, not the curse.

He slowly opened his eyes.

Thalia looked over at June as she approached. Now that she thought about it, how could she recognize June earlier, when she had come over to the sofa in the first place? It was probably her heartbeat. Yeah, that was it. She glanced at Callum again, relieved when his breathing began to calm down. He was going to be toughening up pretty soon, that much she could tell. She was just confused as to how he even fell down the stairs in the first place.

"I'm sure he'll be okay," she answered, not looking away from Callum. "He's been through worse than this." She had muttered the last part, not wanting to use a voice louder than that. She didn't feel like elaborating on that, after all. She wasn't sure what nightmare he just had, but it was probably brutal. What kind of thing would curse him like this? She frowned. She needed to find out who or what cursed him, and why. But that would have to be saved for later. Right now, he needed to fully wake up.

Call frowned a bit when both of his eyes opened, only to feel like the blind one was still closed. That was because he couldn't see out of it, obviously. His vision was a bit blurry, but that was only due to the pain in his head from the fall. He seriously hoped he hadn't done any serious damage to his brain. The last thing he needed - no - the group needed, was for him to be stumbling around, drooling and talking nonsense due to a concussion. Just... no stumbling around in general.

He wanted to sit up, but as soon as he moved upwards just a little, he forced himself back down. He couldn't push himself that hard, not yet. For now, he remained on the sofa, lying on his back. He looked at the Whisper, who was still treating his bruises, having moved on to the last bruise on his arm. It would have to move on to his other arm next, but at least it was getting somewhere with its treatment. His eyes darted between everyone else, from Thalia, to the vampiric stranger he saw earlier, who Thalia seemed to be more familiar with than he was, then finally to June. His gaze lingered on her for a bit before he tried to smile, as if to tell her he was alright.

Why would he be angry at her?

...The better question was, why wasn't he angry?

Thalia took notice of Raph kneeling beside her, whispering to her. She was glad he had followed her back in. But why would she doubt that, to be exact? She pushed the thought aside and shifted slightly to look at Raph, giving him a small smile. "Yeah," she replied softly. "He'll be alright. Thank you, Raph." His words had given her comfort, adding to the relief she already had from just seeing Callum opening his eyes. Though, now that she thought about it, she wasn't sure if June had actually seen them yet. She was probably going to freak out at least a little. But there was an explanation; the Whisper had it. She just didn't know.

Call wanted to ease himself up a little, but he stayed put, not wanting to take the risk. He tried to do that earlier, and it didn't get him anywhere. He sighed, keeping his eyes open. He once again tried to smile, succeeding, managing to put a tired-looking smile on his face. "I'm fine," he got out, wanting to reach up and massage his temples. He really needed to get those images out of his head. They disturbed him, and they were going to distract him unless he rid his mind of them somehow.

"You sure?" Thalia asked. Call gave a stiff nod. "Yeah," he replied. "Just... I was just tired, that was all..." That's a total lie, and I'm pretty sure everyone knows it. This group is made up of perceptive people, after all. He still felt dizzy, but he tried to keep it hidden as best as he could. The Whisper could feel most, if not all, of his symptoms, and it had to kept itself from stumbling back and holding its head as it continued to apply pressure to one of the bruises on Call's arm. "Let's just be thankful he didn't split his head open," it remarked. "It could've happened."

"But it didn't," Thalia added on. In a way, everyone was comforting her. She just realized that June might not know her, feeling stupid. She stood and glanced down at Raph and Callum before looking at June. "I just realized something... you must not know me," she prompted, chuckling. "I'm Thalia. Callum's older sister." She wanted to hold out her hand to shake June's, but for some reason, she didn't. She supposed she was a bit too worn out to care about that sort of thing. "I know we look completely different from each other, but we're tied by our blood. Or last name. That works too. The only reason I look like this is because I'm an Undead."

She briefly heard the Whisper muttering as it worked. "Onto the next one..." it murmured, taking the rag off of Call's arm. It then took the arm and moved it carefully to his side again before taking hold of the other one, being as gentle as possible. It adjusted the arm to where it could treat the bruises on it, pressing the rag against a bruise it spotted on the arm. "D**n, that hurts a lot... must've been quite the tumble... Athus better not have done anything to you..." Of course, it was talking quietly, so Call couldn't hear what it was saying. Then again, it wasn't exactly talking to him, or anyone but itself for that matter.

From the corner of her eyes, she noticed that Callum was slowly coming back to reality again. June then fully turned around to face them again, her eyes lingered on the boy, watching his movements closely, she felt relief to see that he was getting a hold of his breathing again, it was an insignificant and slow recovery but it was something and she needed to remember that he was still human and not something supernatural with fast healing ability. She couldn't help but to huff in amusement, hearing him cussed, it was a good sign at least, the boy was back to the living world again.

Though he look worn out and fatigue, she couldn't figure what he had saw while being unconscious, it mustn't have been something pleasant to the very least by the look of it. June's gaze softened again, she remembered that he was only at Mareo's age, they got much to learn and this world will beat them down before they could stand up on their feet again, she tilted her head a bit, now about that, Mareo was only a two years old now, the Sunvaar had been brought to their exact age in the past at this period. Strange thing time could be.

Her gaze immediately zoned on his eyes again once he opened them, June couldn't help but to raise an eyebrow at that, was it that her memories were messing with her, or that his eyes were the same color before? It has been too long since she gotten a chance to be around everyone else beside Tem, but his heterochromia eyes was quite a sight. Now they matched June thought in amusement, remembering his wolf pup had heterochromia eyes too, just that it didn't occurred to her that Callum was not blind in one eye.

"I understand.." She gave Thalia an assured look even if she wasn't looking at her, resumed her gaze on Callum again, there was something in her eyes, guilt perhaps as she looked at the boy, he was one of her many targets before. And Tem's words still lingering in her mind whenever she think about it, was she really going to murder all of these people in cold blood? If they stop her from eliminating the humans? And the answer was Yes, she had done it before, to the fishing village, and another that she couldn't remember. But not only that, many species had fallen to her hands, and it made her think about the definition of 'a monster'

Listening to the woman exchanging a small talk with the new vampire, she'd look back briefly at Callum "Welcome back to reality, kid." June finally said something directed to Callum, couldn't quite look at him yet, she was trying to keep her eyes on him but failed miserably as she found herself looking around the room every 5 seconds flat. Then she shook her head a bit, with a slight amused smile on her face when he declared that he was fine, as expected of him, or well any stubborn teenagers really. But that'd be the pot calling the kettle black, because even the adults and herself were stubborn as mules.

Then chuckled to the Whisper's remark "I don't know, he might have cracked something open in there, just that it was internal so we couldn't see." She couldn't help but to tease the boy a bit, it was her natural after all, and she was glad that she wasn't all gloomy and grumpy all the time, it was good to be back to your true self now and then during times like these. June coughed awkwardly as the woman defended Callum, rubbing at the back of her neck a bit nervous, she wasn't sure if she offended her in any way, hopefully she didn't.

However quickly turned to face the woman as she introduced herself properly "Sorry about that..." June gave an apologetic smile to Thalia, now revealed herself as Callum's older sister, well damn hope that she didn't take what June just said as an insult, or it'd be bad "It's alright, you don't have to look exactly like each other to be siblings." June smiled at her, a bit teasingly "Unless you're planning to blame everything on your sibling and bail, I don't see why you'd need to be identical twins." June chuckled, then raised an eyebrow as she claimed to be an Undead "Alright, that's cool with me." She grinned playfully, knowing that the Whisper could hear her.

"But Thalia is a pretty name." June complimented "Mine is June, I think that my parents gave up on me when they saw me, and decided to just pick the name of the month I was born in." Even if her parents wasn't technically the ones to created her soul like Tem and her did with their child, they were still her parents nonetheless, if it weren't for them, she wouldn't have been born into this world in the first place, even if her past in this lifetime was a bit questionable, but she had met her bond here and they were going to have a child, so June got no regrets.

She turned around and watch as the Whisper taking care of Callum again, so it wasn't lying when it said that they were connected, but a very different bond from Tem and hers, while theirs has been spiritually, the Whisper and Callum's was even physically, given away by the bruises on both of their arms, and she was glad that her bond with Tem wasn't affected in a physical way as well, otherwise it would have been pretty bad considered everything she had went through, and the surgeon operated on her by Athus without any sort of painkillers at all. June could still feel her body reacted negatively to the memory.

As June spoke to him, Call couldn’t help but to give her a small grin. He was glad to see that she was... well, okay. He did happen to barely notice her looking away from him frequently. He didn’t even need to ask her what was wrong to know the answer. He hoped she wasn’t too mad at him. She didn’t appear to be, but maybe she was feeling guilty for threatening the existence of mankind... his kind.

The Whisper briefly stopped what it was doing to pay attention to what June was saying in response to its remark. It grinned, glancing towards Call, who raised an eyebrow at the statement. At least he wasn’t moping. "Well, that could’ve happened too," it replied, amused. "It’s like cracking your skull. No can really see it because you’ve got skin covering it. Unless you happen to be a skeleton."

Thalia smiled at June, already being brought out of her worried mood as the Sunvaar introduced herself. She began thinking about how Callum was with June before Thalia herself had met the group, sans June. She had met Lucine eventually, when she finally reunited with Callum. She wondered if he did any weird s**t while they were near each other. He probably did; that was just what Callum always did, yet she loved him nonetheless. "Ah, you don’t need to apologize," she responded, clicking her tongue and looking down at Callum. "He probably did crack something in there..."

"Hey..."

"Come on, you bonehead. We both know you aren’t the... wisest person out there."

"Fair enough."

Thalia returned June’s teasing look with one of her own. "I don’t really have a reason to blame anything on him, unless it has something to do with me losing any game against him," she mused. "Trust me, he cheats like a motherf**ker." Callum frowned a bit, but it went away as quickly as it came. He wanted to offer a rebuttal, but he was a bit too tired. Instead, he shrugged and rolled his eyes, cooperating with the Whisper by holding his arm still as it came closer to finishing its work. It stopped when it heard June’s pun, snickering, then cackling once more.

"Okay, that made my day!" it exclaimed in between giggles. Thalia didn’t know what to think, so she just chuckled, then smiled again. "Come on, June is a pretty name too," she said.

"Don’t worry kid, I’m almost done, and then you can do whatever you do with your girlfriend again, after some rest of course," the Whisper assured, grinning mischievously. Call, of course, began to blush when the Whisper said that, while at the same time scanning the room for Lucine. He closed his eyes, wishing for her touch, as well as her voice, to heal him and make him forget his troubles. Thalia couldn’t help but smirk as well. June didn’t even know that Callum had a girlfriend to begin with.

"I do think we should start the meeting soon, though," Thalia said quickly, sitting back down next to the occupied sofa. Call took a deep breath and sighed, keeping his eyes closed. His thoughts were coming back to get him again... he just needed to concentrate. He also wanted to see Lucine; the Whisper had brought her back. Maybe one of these days, they could have a night together, just the two of them. That pleasant thought helped him block out most of the other incoming thoughts about to drag his mood down.

Tem looked across to June, waiting for her to say what she needed to say. She was worried; June talking about the baby being demanding had made her a little uneasy. She hated normal food; preferred instead the smorgasbord of blood readily available in any city and town, especially June's. The thought was making her hungry. She found herself hoping that perhaps the child would have a Sunvaar body and a vampire diet. That would make things easier.

She grinned at their joking, watching the Whisper treat Call. That was an odd sight to see. She glanced across to June affectionately, but also hungrily, feeling her stomach rumble for blood. She sighed, shoving away her instincts and standing up. "We needed to talk about what we're going to do," she interrupted them firmly. "We need to know what year we're in, what date specifically... does anyone remember exactly when the dwarves were wiped out?" She hoped one among the time-travelling group would, or their efforts were all screwed.
