Godric launched forward, his small size allowing him to soar easily over the heads of the larger dragons, and landed neatly on top of a Serthis' head, who screeched in anger and hatred. Godric dug his sharp talons into the Serthis' eyes, attempting to blind the violently thrashing beast.

Cody froze as the Clan launched into battle, his eyes wildly flicking to-and-fro. He watched as his second-in-command landed on a Serthis and proceeded to blind it, and suddenly, Cody was struck by a realization - he may never be a fighter, but he was a protector. He would protect those hatchlings and all future young. He pushed forward into battle.

The clan fought fiercely, Arngrim was leading the dragonets who were fighting minor beasts meanwhile Chesarr and Brotic were attaching a pair of Serthis, Chesarr got the tail but a Manticore leaped over his back making him st an in his back paws and landing in the floor over the manticore, Chesarr rolled to the left and grabbed the Manticore's snout with his jaws. Brotic scratched the neck of a Serthis and it fell to the ground choking and gagging trying to get some air in the fountain of blood.

Godric staggered away from the Serthis underneath him as it managed to lash a blade across his back, ripping open a rather deep wound that splattered deep crimson. He gave out a soft, pained sound, but refused to let go of the blinded beast.

Cody heard the quiet sound, and whipped his head around and froze at the sight of his second-in-command bleeding. Oh, oh, what to do what to do? Another flicker of determination grew inside of him as he launched forward, digging his teeth into the blind Serthis' throat, causing the beast to let out a high-pitched scream before it faded into a wet gurgle.
