NEWS :: 7/3/19
Our worldbuilders have been busy this last month! To start with, we have moved two subspecies into three distinct fauna creatures - the Famine, titantoise, and titanturtle! Including these three overhauled shinies, we have 25 new fauna creatures for you guys to take on, hunt, make pets out of, encounter, etc! This time we had a focus on prey animals, and it's brought us thinks like the dyodontia, karkino hippo, kuyuthans, elgr, and more. :D

Included in these is a brand new fauna type - Primordial Beasts!! These great creatures were first crafted by the One before the First Realm's creation, and have been derived by the gods in memory of that world that met its doom. While these three Primordials are incapable of being made into characters via a Divine Gift, all three may be encountered roaming the Realms in your threads. Remember, there is only one of each - they can't die and won't retaliate if you attack, but you may get some neat trinkets in their wake~

Next, we have 21 new locations for you all to discover! This release focused on tombs, barrows, ruins, and monuments - and these are scattered across various Realms. Can you find them all? (A full list can be found on the second post here!)

Another exciting and wonderful new addition is that gracing the top of our species page - the brand new Airavatian Elephants! These giant guardians of nature live primarily in Lizzarkyth and Xaeri, protecting the forests and jungles that they make their home. They also come with two subspecies: the Kuraian baku, and the arctic Inumuith!

With our species redux project, we've hit two this month - the lyzard and shriekan! Each one has been overhauled and edited to give them specific variants, clarifying various points and filling in some holes we've long had in our lore.

NEWS :: 8/1/19
New month means new updates! First and foremost, we have four new subspecies for you guys - two avian subs and two dragon subs! Brand new to the avians are the neraken - demonic avians that serve Hell - and the teryxean - bat-winged avians native to Khankirae. For our dragons, there are two new Heartwoodian/Evylonian subspecies: the Coppers and the Bronzes! Two good-aligned dragons that have allied themselves with the Halgian Empire, new metallics for you all to play with.

Next, we have a brand new, widely-used language! Called Phasma, it is known to be an attempt at creating a code for criminals to use, including not only spoken words, but glyphs and sign language as well. It was invented by the Ruby Faction, and is now used widely by many criminals abroad the Realms!

Another Rift has appeared! Created in the Second Demon War, this Rift lay in Kidochi, Kurai disguised as an innocent bloodwater pond. Jump on in and find out what's inside, we dare you! ;D

Last but not least, two species have been overhauled! Say hello to the new and polished kirin and the redone Evylonian deer!

Plotwise, the Faction of Hope is growing desperate! After the loss of Orochi's support, the order has been given to release dragon slaves upon their enemies. These poor creatures have been magically modified and mind-broken, as well as fitted with specialized collars to keep them under control and make them attack the Faction's opposition. Be warned, however, that these collars do not come off easily!

NEWS :: 9/1/19
Here are the new monthly updates! We do lore/content releases on the first of every month, and today is the day for new, shiny things! Take a gander at what we have:

First and foremost, there's a new Rift that has been found!! The Alubrian Rift is a dangerous place, and the entrance can be found in the northern reaches of Alubria, nestled in an arctic cave. Inside the Rift, magic is chaotic, and various gemstones react to an individual's magical affinity... and flip it, too!

Which leads us to our next new thing! Check the shop for the Seeker Stone, a rare gemstone that comes from this particular Rift. While it does not have the ability to change an individual's elemental affinity anymore, these can tell you what magic any individual has, and even if an item is enchanted or not!

Next, the Heartwoodian/Evylonian Coppers and Bronzes we released last month now have new info in our Dragon Lore V book in the library!

Last but not least, as a part of our ongoing redux project, the pegasi and ogre have both been polished up! Both now have regional variants, and their information has been completely overhauled to better fit with our more recent species and revamps. (:

A brand new full species has appeared! Please welcome the akhlut, a unique, tribal blend of wolf and orca who may live both on land and at sea. They have two forms and a variety of appearances, check them out!

BTACD now sports two brand new official NPCs, and a number of new quests! Please welcome Jhaek, the undead adventurer, and Stygian, the cultist circadian. Check them out!

Last but not least, our species reduxes! We have completely overhauled both saurian and weredragon to be much more uniform, better fleshed out, and better explained. Whoo!

NEWS :: 12/1/19

Bump! New updates for everyone!

First and foremost, we are beginning the long trek of fleshing out some of our original religions! First on that list is Evylon - and the page has been updated to reflect all changes. Take a gander at the faiths of C'larae, Etherism, Fae'niel, the Light, the Eventide, and Zhaei'va; Cult of Salvation!

Next, we have two awesome new subspecies for you all! Both can be found on the wolf species page. We're happy to introduce the cainos, which are based on domesticated dog breeds, and the lycaeon, based on feral/wild canine species!

Last but not least, we have two species reduxes for you! The minotaur has been fleshed out further, introducing quite a number of new variants for everyone to play with, including a type that is more antelope-like! Then, we've completely redone and overhauled the zirus species, freeing it up a little more and making it a better, cohesive whole.

NEWS :: 1/1/20

The first release of 2020 is here! Say hello to the new decade with a brand new, huge magic class: clerics! These individuals are somewhat similar to god Wards, though not as powerful and not as restricted. You can find information on what the clerics of each god does on the gods page, as well!

Speaking of gods, each living deity now has special emblems to represent them! :D

Next on our list is the religion expansion for Felnova. The religion information has been fleshed out to include eight complete religions!! These are the Faith of the Fiv'ean, Faith of the Curuyen'n, Lunarism, Order of Fraemyth, Children of the Wolf, Lion's Roar, Rahkriism, and Linathism.

Last but not least, we have two new reduxes - the chimera and shar! Both have been completely rewritten and overhauled, so they fit the style of the site better. <3

Plot Update!
The gods deliberate upon whether or not they will intervene in the lives of mortals; and it is made clear just how close the Realms of Kurai and Felnova are coming to complete destruction. Energy storms and massive earthquakes tear these worlds apart, and behind it all, the gods wonder: should they step in, devastating in their power, risking the very balance that keeps their worlds together? Or should they allow the mortals one final chance to make things right?

NEWS :: 2/1/20
Welcome to the new month! We have a brand new, super neat magical location for you guys - located in Yosa Kyakih, Lizzarkyth is the Isle of Mist! A mist-shrouded island-city that long ago served the Order of Mages, now reduced to rubble and crumbling walls. However, mages still take refuge in its ruins, hiding behind the spell-mist and the many protective magics wreathed in its bones...

Kurai's religion has been fleshed out! Check out our four demonic faiths: Kensh no Chitsujo (the religion of Death), Raion no Khumyr (the religion of Famine), Hoku no Shinja (the religion of Pestilence), and Abr'nil no Shinko (the religion of War)!

The zirus have not one, but two brand new subspecies! Check out the krastaeja zirus - a new crustacean-based aquatic breed - and the Kuraian zirus, based on our demon Kingdoms!

Last but not least, we've had two species reduxes this month - the orc and the werewolf! We're super excited for these, as they have been around almost as long as BTACD has and the info was really showin' its age. That, and we're coming up on the end of our species redux project, and will be done completely in another few months! WHOOT!

First and foremost, we have a neat brand new [b]custom species[/b] called the [URL=https://btacdragons.com/species/eumasel.php]eumasel[/URL]! They are a race of spiritual humanoids bound to ancestral spirit trees, blessed by the former god of the Soulplane, Shiranui. Check them out! Next on our list is the religion expansion for the Realm of [URL=https://btacdragons.com/worlds/lizzarkyth.php#7]Lizzarkyth[/URL], featuring the lyzard's [b]Drii'avk Z'krel[/b] - the Divine Path! At long last, all of our [URL=https://btacdragons.com/library/stars.php]constellation images[/URL] are complete! The nine that were missing have been drawn and added, along with a few errors fixed. Go read up on our stars and look at the new shinies! ;D Then, the [URL=https://btacdragons.com/species/alicorn.php]alicorn[/URL] species has been polished up as part of our redux project, making it better organized and more cohesive as a whole. New variants have been added, check them out! Last but definitely not least, our most prolific species - the [URL=https://btacdragons.com/species/dragon.php]dragon[/URL] - has been redone at last! That info was quite possibly one of our oldest write-ups, and suffered from an immense list of issues. A few names have been changed, appearances clarified, notes added, culture expanded, abilities hashed out, and we even have a brand new variant - the [b]ouroboris[/b] has joined the party!! [b]PLOT UPDATE![/b] There has been a [URL=http://forums.btacdragons.com/index.php?showtopic=1873&view=findpost&p=25781889]timeskip![/URL] The gods held council and made a startling decision: Nina and the Faction have to be stopped, at any cost, no matter what. Thus, they decided to begin working on divine intervention. It's been two months since they dispersed... Across both Kurai and Felnova, the balance has tipped dangerously. The earthquakes never cease, and the Faction of Hope is splintering beneath its own weight and the fears of those trapped with no way out. While most seek to only stay alive as the two worlds fall apart, Nina moves closer and closer towards her goal.
