You've recently passed a waterfall, the sound of rushing water faint behind you. The sun is setting over the forest, soon the moon will begin peeking over the mountain peaks. You're weary of the other wolves you can smell, but they all come from different places, so they must be loners. Moro emerged from behind the water fall, water droplets lightly coating her fur. She padded out cautiously, her ears swerving to listen. She trotted down to the bank of the river the waterfall fed into, and lowered her head, lapping up the water. After drinking her fill she lifted her head and looked around, sniffing, I can smell others... she thought, her tail twitched to one side before she started moving again. The moon was about to rise, and soon the prey would be slowing down for the night. She remembered scenting a herd of deer not far from her den.

She lifted her nose, finding the almost stale scent of deer, and the scent of other wolves, her tail twitched again. She padded into a thicker part of the woods, her fur blurring in the twilight. She picked up her pace when the smell of deer grew stronger, she was getting closer. She slowed down once more to silence her paw steps and crouched low in the brambles. She came upon a herd of 8, 2 bucks, 6 doe and 2 fawns. One buck was large, with a huge rack, a twelve point. She watched him for a moment before moving on. She noticed one of the does had a lame leg and was limping towards the outskirts of the herd, this was her prey. Since Moro was only one, she wouldn't need a meal as large as the buck.

She crept around until she was close to the doe, making sure she stayed downwind. She carefully avoided twigs and leaves as she moved into position. Before the Herd had time to react, Moro had launched herself at the doe, scaring off the rest of the herd. With her lame leg, the doe was unable to run far, and soon Moro was upon her. She latched onto the doe's leg and pull, causing the doe to fell to the ground with a sickening thud. Next, Moro went for the throat, quickly silencing the wheezing creature. Moro noticed as the large buck came charging at her, nearing jabbing her with his rack. She jumped back in time to avoid it.

She watched as the buck sniffed the dead doe, lingering for a few moments before leaving after his heard, but not before shoot what looked like a spiteful glare at Moro. Once he had left, Moro padded forward and began ripping skin off the doe to reach the warm insides.

Mist had been following the herd for most of the day. She'd started almost entirely northward from where she had ended, the night having closed in around her quickly hours ago. She wasn't one to rush, of course, and often had spent quite a lengthy bit of time just silently following the herd along, learning their mannerisms, and isolating the best meals from the group.

A few choices came to mind. Naturally, there were the fawns. Too small to fight back, but they always had one of the adults watching over them. Not optimal. Instead, her gaze had seized onto the doe with the injury, knowing the females leg would slow her down. She just needed to wait until she was separate from the others.

Her chance arose only a few minutes later when the doe began to amble towards the outskirts of the herds range. Mist watched her sniff at the grass as she paced, taking a few strands into her mouth and chewing. With the doe invested in her simple meal, Mist began to creep forward.

She froze quickly, however, when she spotted another wolf dart out of the trees. Mist followed this wolf's movements with her eyes, head lowered as she inspected the hunting tactics of the other. She nimbly avoided the stag and escaped a nasty confrontation with the larger animal, quick to return to her meal.

Mist inhaled the scents of the air, trying to pick something up. She hadn't smelt any overwhelming wolf scent since her hunt had begun, but it seemed this other had evaded her detection. Mist would have to go elsewhere for a meal, but not before watching the she-wolf for a little while longer.

Moro gorged herself on the insides of the doe, her noise filled the smell of blood. She paused for a moment as the wind blew by, it had changed directions. She looked up and licked her muzzle, she watched as heavy storm clouds started rolling in, There's going to be a storm... she thought to herself. She was about to return to her meal when she caught the scent of another wolf, veryc lose to where she was.

She looked around the clearing, breathing in deeply as she tried to locate where the scent was coming from, when she did, her eyes locked on to the spot. Her hackles raised slightly and her tail lifted into the air in a dominant position, "Who's there." she rumbled, her voice demanding, "I can smell you." she waited a few moments, not moving as she waited for a response. She was ready to give chase if the wolf, she wolf from the smell, fled, and was ready to defend her meal if the wolf decided to attack.

Malakai padded softly through the grassy ground of the forest. She observed the landscape, letting the wind ruffle her long fur. Her nose was in the air, trying to catch the scent of any prey nearby. Something else caught her attention, however. It was a new scent, something she couldn't ignore. Wolves. Malakai kept a wary eye on her surroundings. She was alone, and being in such a dense forest with wolves around was dangerous. She decided to catch something small, even though she could smell the corpse of a doe nearby. Another wolf had probably found it, and the herd the doe was once in had most likely run away. Malakai caught a flash of brown fur, picking it as her target. Sinking lower, she approached her target slowly and quietly to get a better look. The rabbit looked up from the grass it nibbled on, causing her to stop. As soon as it turned its head another way, Malakai sprung forward. She latched her teeth onto its neck, waiting until the animal stopped squirming. She gazed at her kill, then began ripping the fur off of it to access the soft, bloody meat inside.

Malakai had just begun eating when she heard the growl of another wolf. She hadn't noticed how far she went while stalking the rabbit. Malakai looked up, her ears swiveling. There it was. Another wolf. Its pelt was silvery, its eyes trained on another of its kind. Malakai looked around to find the wolf that spoke. It was snowy white, but Malakai could swear that she saw a flash of red on its raised tail. "An alpha, probably..." Malakai thought aloud. There couldn't be any other reason that the strange white wolf would keep such a preeminent position. Malakai continued to dig in her rabbit, watching the showdown intently.

The snowfall finally subsided. Sparrow looked up into the sky solemnly. He had been traveling for five days now. Not a sign of another wolf yet. He felt like he had been alone for ten lives over. A brisk wind blew through the trees, and he watched the limbs of vegetation sway with it. Suddenly he felt the rolling discomfort of hunger in his gut. Thankfully, the winds bring knowledge. In this case, it tells of some coyotes a few miles southwest, and perhaps some deer. Where there is food, there are wolves. Sparrow turned to follow the scent. For once his spirits were elevated slightly. He stepped swiftly, almost romping, through the snow. He had not spoken with another wolf in many seasons, and he was eager to end his solitude.

Nakita could smell the stench of the nearby coyotes. If there was one thing she hated most in this world, it was coyotes. Something about the way they looked, the way they acted, the way they smelt--all of it was so repulsive to her.
Sticking her nose in the air again, she picked up the scent of deer. Just the tough of tearing into the hind leg of a large buck made her mouth water uncontrollably. Sadly, the deer weren't alone. It seemed that there were a few other wolfs around the heard. Normally, she would avoid all contact with others, but she already had her heart set on making the deer her next meal. With fangs bared and fur raised, she raced towards the toothsome smell of flesh and blood.

Moro's ears twitched as she heard the familiar thud of a wolf racing her direction, soon she could hear the dead leaves and fallen twigs crunching under the other wolf's weight. She whipped around, hackles fulled raised as she stood over the deer, and growled, the sound ripping from her throat. She let loose an abrupt howl before the other wolf could reach her and growled once more, waiting to see if this wolf would stop, I just hope they aren't a part of a clan... I've been here for 5 moons, no way are they chasing me out. she thought viciously.

Nakita didn't even try to silence her footfall. She raced at full speed, letting herself step on every twig in sight. Silvia flowed out of the corners of her open mouth as she came closer to the smell of raw meat. That's when she heard the other wolf's growl. She was hoping that this wasn't the sign of a clan. She was big, but not big enough to take on a whole clan by herself.
She decided not to stop and, instead, picked up speed. Her heart pounded as she ran around the other wolf. She made sure not come to close as she ran by, leaving at least 50 ft between them.
After passing the wolf, Nakita let her speed drop and concentrated on silencing her steps. If she wanted to catch anything, she would have to be a bit quieter.

( Hope you don’t mind me adding some scars on my wolf that i forgot to add during his profile. )

Kane(Rinjichan13) interacting with Sparrow(DeaththeAshen)

Kane has been wandering around to find a new den, two nights...three nights...four nights by now? He couldn’t remember. He has stopped tracking the moons that passed over the years. Time didn’t matter to him at this point, the only that mattered was that he is alive and living. A part of him however, still worries that he will be found by his old pack and no matter how much he tries to shake off that feeling, the fear trickles back into his psyche. Kane lifts his noise to the air and he smells two things: rain and a bunch of other wolves scents. Judging by the air and after sniffing a couple of times, he guessed five other wolves? But he couldn’t be quite sure until he is closer. He much rather avoid these wolves, but they were in his decided path he wished to go through.

Ah fate, screwing me again, Kane says to himself. He thinks, there is also the rain, don’t bother me much, i always slept through rain but...i rather not get soaked by a storm. As Kane moves closer he picks up more smells. A distinct smell of deer, dead deer and maybe rabbit? Thinking food makes his stomach growl, it reminds him to find something to eat later. Speaking of Hunting, something he practically had to learn on his own, through trial and error, he thinks fish might be nice for today.

Kane walks through the thick forest, the dirt entering his healed, chewed, front paws wrist, causing him to wince. Fur has grown on the wound since, but not quite as long as fur on the rest of his body. Then Kane hears a howl and turns another direction, trying to avoid wolves as much as possible. Once finding another direction, another scent picks up stronger near him, but he can’t signal in which direction. He moves forward , racking his nose to the ground to find them. Once he found where they were, he could avoid them better. Kane follows their scent, then moments later, bumps into a older roan wolf (Sparrow). Instinctively, he jumps back, growing and his ears turn downed. His eyes stare at the older wolf and and his teeth visible as they create subtle folds on the scar on his cheek.
