[*][b]SEARCHES:[/b] This RP has the special feature of [b]Searches[/b]. Each day, the group will tour a different area of the Hewn City. Your dragon will have the opportunity to search or explore these areas and possibly find loot that it can take home. The number of searchable places may vary each day. Your dragon can search a maximum of 2 times per day. You may choose to use both turns in the same place or choose 2 different places. (Ex: Search 2 piles of rubble [i]or[/i] search a pile of rubble and search a building.) ((I am posting this before roll-over so that it will be up for the start of the Brightshine Jubilee. You are welcome to get started with your introductory posts and I will send out the backpacks and pouches once I am up in the morning and then the tour will begin. I hope everyone has fun. =D ))

The dragons that had been assigned to her tour were standing by, waiting to get started. She looked them over. They seemed like a fine group of dragons. Like they could take care of themselves. This was good, since the Hewn City was not for the faint-of-heart. There were dangers in there and it was impossible to predict what the group would encounter as they made their way around the ruins. Sunfish would do her best to give them a good tour and keep them safe. After all, that was the reason behind offering these tours during the Brightshine Jubilee. She cleared her throat and addressed the group. [b]“Welcome to the Hewn City Tours. We will be entering the City momentarily. This is an unpredictable area and there is a possibility of encountering dangerous situations. I will do my best to guide you safely through the City, but you must do your part and remain vigilant. So please, when we are in an area, each of you can explore as you wish, but you must remain within sight or within earshot of the others. This tour is expected to take 6 days. You each will be given a pack of provisions that have been prepared for this tour. These contain food, water and light sources. They will also come in handy for carrying anything you may find along the way. She wriggled up against it - something was scratching her and it didn't seem to fit right. No, that wasn't going to work. Returning it to the pile, she turned to the tour guide and said, "I think I'd like to stick with a [b]pouch[/b] on this trip." Having finished her task, she turned to the group and said, "Hello! My name is Annee - this is my first time on a trip away from the Icefields and I'm super, super excited to be here!" "I was born in my clan and my job as a Scout keeps me in our territory, so I can't wait to explore a new place! I [i]love[/i] exploring!" Her tail twitched in excitement - typical of a Spiral, she seemed unable to keep still for more than a moment. "It's nice to meet all of you! This should be a fun week!"

"H-hello... I'm here for the Hewn City tour...My name is Fiore." She examined both the backpack and the pouch. "I-i'll take the backpack please," she stuttered. Although she had been born in the Sunbeam Ruins, she had been sent to an Arcane clan when she was only a day old, and remembered little of her birthplace. She did, however, feel a strong sense of belonging when she looked over at the Sundial Terrace. Although shy, she was eager to explore- and possibly even make some friends.

Two long needles, seemingly fashioned of his own golden spines, spun idly between his fingers. "I think a pouch will be fine," the dark skydancer called before turning to his companions. "Good morning, everyone!" The needles in his claws clicked to halt as he stood. "My name is Tavi!" He spoke with the neutral lilt of the wind flight, "I'm a weaver and an explorer. The ruins here are really amazing." As he spoke, he slipped his needles into his new pouch. "I just hope we don't run into anything we can't handle."

Thats okay. I will inform someone in the Tour tent and they will set up our guest with provisions when they arrive and then send them with a messenger out to us in the Hewn City. That way we can go ahead and start our tour.[/b] Sunfish made sure her guests were outfitted with their packs and everyone had introduced themselves. Although its in the middle of the Sunbeam Ruins, it is not bright with Light like one would expect, rather its cast in deep Shadow. In the darkened skies, a large flock of Omen Seekers can be seen whirling and diving. Whether that is a good omen or a bad one is unclear. The area the group has walked into is a vast open area dotted with crumbled structures and piles of rubble. [b]Very little is known about the Hewn City. Although many, many scholars have studied it, who the original builders were remains a mystery. No one has been able to discover what happened to them. Did they just move on? Did something catastrophic happen here that wiped them out? No one knows. Some think it has something to do with the perpetual shade that blankets the land. Again, no one knows for sure. What is causing the shade is also a mystery. So you can make your own theories as we explore this land.[/b] Sunfish then reminds the group that they are free to explore this area as long as they stay within eyesight or within earshot of the other dragons. "[b]Was I supposed to get something before hand? I'm afraid I've brought nothing with me,[/b]' she said, glancing down at her empty hands. She looked back up. "[b]My name is Iris,[/b]" she said, blinking slowly. "[b]I think I grabbed a pouch back there, not really sure.[/b]" She peered around the coatl at the rubble behind her and stalked over to rummage around in a pile of rubble. [b][Search 1][/b]
