Hello
I've tried something like this before here and here, so let's give it another go!
I'm still in the process of preparing the dragons, so for now, I'm just garnering interest. Things will kick off on the 18th of August.
You find a gruff-looking Guardian tapping a claw on the ground. He looks like he's lost in his thoughts, though your approach catches your attention. The deep pink eyes of the Arcane dragon meet yours before he begins to speak.
"I see the crude sign that we made has caught your attention," he comments in a voice that seems somehow suitable to his scarred body. "Well. I am Hauyne, trainer of the warriors, mages, and hunters of the Wild Beat clan. I suppose I should explain in detail. The dragons behind me have voiced their will to find new homes with other clans. They won't need very much convincing, I think, but they also aren't particularly likely to come with you if simply ask them to. No, they're looking for a home that will treasure them, value them as every dragon should be! Convince them, be it bribing them with treasure or gems, sweet talk, plans for the future, whatever you can think of.
They, of course, don't come without their merits. They have their experiences from times before. Some have had offspring, even. A couple are old loves and won't be separated from each other very easily. But all will have been trained by me!" Hauyne proudly beats his chest, causing his neck frill to bend alarmingly for a moment. "While they do have experience in battle, they are still quite malleable. Push them to be a warrior like me, and they will yield. You need a mage? Make it so. Hunters? A nudge, and you'll have a hunter. Keep in mind that you will need to teach them the skills needed for those occupations.
Looking for a dragon who is more than just skilled in the heat of battle? Well, I'm sure they've learned something from their time with us. The Wild Beats are a clan of wandering entertainers and artisans, after all.
Usually, the clan's scribe Seishin would be asked to pen their stories before sending them off. He is quite asleep at the moment. I'm loathe to wake him, but I might be persuaded to wake him if you truly insist that you'd like a dragon's story to be penned. If you do manage to have me wake him up, give him a prompt, and he'll start his work.
Hm? Not quite looking for someone like these fine dragons? Here." Hauyne nudges open a scroll full of dragons. "All of these individuals are also looking for new homes, though they'll only accept an exchange of treasure or gems for their loyalty to you. This includes some dragons from a clan that has allied itself with us. More choices for you!
Last but not least, I've been asked to read this to you. I was assured that you would know what this means," he grumbles as slides a piece of parchment towards you.
