Loyal Companion
Serai
The Wind's Will - "What do you mean, I can't do that?"

"That's a dumb idea."
Serai was born from an egg hatched on the coldest night the clan had seen for many years. As she emerged, the winds themselves seemed to twist around her, leaving a foggy mist in their wake.. one that remained near her eyes.

Even growing up, the little nocturne had absolutely, whatsoever, no patience, for anyone telling her she couldn't do something. She was the Windsinger's representative, she needed to behave the part! Bah. "Not for me. That's a dumb idea", she'd tell them. And thus, she grew up choosing her own path, thinking she would defy the Windsinger - not realizing that was exactly what he had hoped for her.

Wanderings

She was quickly renowned through her clan for being quick by wing, quicker in wit. A sharp tongue and a defiant attitude left many intimidated by her, not realizing that the nocturne simply wished to be free to follow her own desires, not forced to live up to other's expectations. And at some point, the expectations simply became too much.

Serai could feel herself becoming resentful. "Serai, you represent the Windsinger. We need your help with this." "Serai, please, what would the Windsinger think?" "Serai!" Too many voices, it was too loud. Too constant.. and not enough time to breath. So one night, she left. Feeling the wind under her wings and seeing the moon cast a blue glow over the landscape, she felt at peace for the first time in years.
