I finished my Lore for the bane baby, now named Laguna <3
So while the main dragon in this story is not Laguna herself but one of her moms, she is still the main focus of what is happening c:
Mistral rested by a cliff as she let the winds of Windswept Plateau pass by her, enjoying the gusts whispered into her ears. She would listen to them, her eyes closed and smiles softly.
The smile dropped as she heard faint cries in the distance. She opened her eyes and frowned as she focused on where the cries were coming from. It sounded like an hatchling too, that was worrying.
After getting an idea of the crying hatchling, she flew off, having the help of the wind to swiftly get to wherever the youngling was.
After a few minutes of listening for the cries, Mistral was guided to one of many shores that swept the Wind flight's domain, bordering the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Carefully, she landed to the shore and started to sweep the area and listening for a distressed hatchling.
Mistral's eyes landed to a young blue bane hatchling by the shore, letting out cries of distress. the green bane gasped, noticing the egg shells close by, some getting swept away with the waves.
'the poor thing had just hatched!' Mistral thought as she carefully make soothing purrs toward the baby bane as she gingerly approached them, lowering herself to be non threatening.

The blue bane got slowly quiet as she stared toward the larger newcomer. The sounds were gentle and very comforting. she responded back, chirping as she stood up, struggling slightly.
'Is this my mom? Mom? Mom!'
That was all the hatchling thought as she was toward the older green bane, chirping back to the purrs. As she got closed enough, she gently rubbed her head against the green bane's legs and chirping happily.
The older bane seemed taken aback but gently folded a wing over her, purring toward the hatchling.
'Mom was so nice and warm. I love mom.'

"Oh dear" Mistral told herself as she shielded the cuddling hatchling with her wing. "Seems like she imprinted on me" she chuckled nervously and looked down to the youngling before looking around the area. There was no nest around or sign of other banescales.
"Seems like your egg drifted here or you were left here alone" Mistral spoke softly, slightly saddened at this predicament. "And certainly not from this domain with those pretty blue eyes of yours" she giggled as the young girl chirped back.
Mistral was now aware that she couldn't leave the child. she was just a baby and staying here would mean her death. either by other dragons or by the hostile marens in the area.
she sighed as she was now the adopted mother of this little orphan by her legs. She never thought she would have hatchlings this soon. Having a relationship with another female banescale was also reason that she wouldn't have any hatchlings
anytime soon either.
Unless they adopt any strays.

Thinking of her mate, She had to prepare the overexcitable bane for the new addition to their small family now.
"I guess you are my baby, now" she smiles slightly as the hatchling was dozing off. "You also need a name since you will coming with me."

That was all the hatchling thought as she was toward the older green bane, chirping back to the purrs. As she got closed enough, she gently rubbed her head against the green bane's legs and chirping happily.
The older bane seemed taken aback but gently folded a wing over her, purring toward the hatchling.
'Mom was so nice and warm. I love mom.'

"Oh dear" Mistral told herself as she shielded the cuddling hatchling with her wing. "Seems like she imprinted on me" she chuckled nervously and looked down to the youngling before looking around the area. There was no nest around or sign of other banescales.
"Seems like your egg drifted here or you were left here alone" Mistral spoke softly, slightly saddened at this predicament. "And certainly not from this domain with those pretty blue eyes of yours" she giggled as the young girl chirped back.
Mistral was now aware that she couldn't leave the child. she was just a baby and staying here would mean her death. either by other dragons or by the hostile marens in the area.
she sighed as she was now the adopted mother of this little orphan by her legs. She never thought she would have hatchlings this soon. Having a relationship with another female banescale was also reason that she wouldn't have any hatchlings
anytime soon either.
Unless they adopt any strays.

Thinking of her mate, She had to prepare the overexcitable bane for the new addition to their small family now.
"I guess you are my baby, now" she smiles slightly as the hatchling was dozing off. "You also need a name since you will coming with me."
Mistral hums in thought in search of a name for the blue youngling by her side.
Observing the area and the fact she was a water dragon, her eyes lights up to a name idea.
"What do you think of Laguna?" she asked toward the sleepy child who only chirped tiredly, not fully aware of what she was getting asked.
"Laguna it is, then." she smiles and gently pressed her snout against the child's head as a sign of affection.
"Welcome to the family. Yuzu will be very excited to see you" She quietly says as she emphasized on the word excited.
She looks up, stare toward the sky and feeling the soft breeze, smiling over the new chapter of her and this hatchling's first chapter of her life.
Something else came into Mistral's mind too.
How will she get back to her den and carry the hatchling back, having never carried one before?
