This raffle has run indefinitely for 2 and 1/2 years, and the winners have a 24-hour period to claim their prize or else it’s given to someone else?
Don’t you think that’s kind of unnecessarily crappy? Even the most active players on this site have days or weeks where they don’t check FR. Life happens. Most of us are not glued to this game 24/7.

I can actually give an answer to this as someone who regularly hosts raffles! I know it may seem like an unfair rule to some but it is actually necessary in these types of raffles to make it fair for everyone including the hosts. It's really important to remember that just like you and the other participants the hosts have real life responsibilities too, so realistically it's not right for them to be expected to be able to wait on the player in question to be active again so 24hrs is a fair amount of time. The hosts even did a pre warning the day before which is more then what most would do.
If it's missed then its just how things played out. As the saying goes “it's no use crying over spilled milk".
But please understand that I'm on maybe once or twice a week unless I am actively working on something like today. It was a pure chance to get the ping after being on a hiatus for roughly six months. But this is just how it works sometimes. I hope this helps to explain it a bit and I wish you luck in the raffle!
