thanks for clarifying, so an alt will give screen reader output, does it also display that text in case of a broken image?

@Lunalarose thats awesome. I just googled which confirmed that and also tested and confirmed that mousing over it gives a text popup!

The required alt attribute specifies an alternate text for an image, if the image cannot be displayed. The alt attribute provides alternative information for an image if a user for some reason cannot view it (because of slow connection, an error in the src attribute, or if the user uses a screen reader). from w3schools.com
