Coda feels he has lived all his life swindling the Fairgrounds keepers. There was a time he merely wandered between tents, no home to share his excessive winnings with. Eventually, his freeloading gambler lifestyle was interrupted by his arrest after a terrible argument with the Artifracture vendor. He was annoyingly (for everyone else) able to pay his own bail and bribe any black marks off his record, but he was warned all the same to apply himself to a cause of some kind.

To remove himself far from his place of birth, he simply followed the first party of Ice Flight dragons he could find. Lucky for him, they'd been having awful luck with the Fairgrounds themselves, and welcomed him readily enough.

He continues to game the system -- now in service of funding his home in the Dugout -- his favorites being Mistral Mahjong and Shock Switch, however he begrudgingly admits that Glimmer & Gloom is the best for making treasure quickly.
