"So...what's up? You guys wanna talk about anything while we walk?" they asked, mushrooms continuing to sprout in their wake. "...Personally, I'm looking forward to just see the flower, even if I [i]don't[/i] win. I may be a Mushelisk, but flowers are nice too." They nod, the flowers all over them rustling cheerfully. "But like, I really wanna win! I'd love to have a scientific name of a flower named after me. Do you think that's allowed?" The Mushelisk seems to be getting more hyped up by the second.

They smelled of mushroom spores, oozing fertility. They seemed to have the right attitude regarding the expedition. Hawthorn gave a flick of his head fan. "If the flower has already been discovered before, I believe you are too late to name it." His voice came from above, prompting the obelisk to look up. He made sure not to lose sight of the gaoler either, and to look out for any possible danger. His own pollen floated to the cave floor like the faintest snow, giving off an aura of curiosity.

He can feel one set of eyes dwell on him for much longer than he'd like, but once again he shakes off the feeling. Gotta. Keep. Moving. Must. Find. Flower. Burn. Cowardheart. Burn. Burn. Burn. This is what he thinks as he delves deeper into the darkness ahead. (I could not resist more roleplay-i am a very bored track student)

She’d caught him huffing in her direction, and was pretty sure she could guess what he’d been thinking. [i][u]So[/u] annoying![/i] Her present company seemed more accepting of her stature, though she wasn’t sure what the Fae - Hawthorn - was really thinking. The only Fae she’d much had anything to do with, at WindSky Weyr, were all pretty good at Draconian tones, so she hadn’t much experience interpreting Fae body language. But he’d given her a flower (!), and she was pretty sure that meant “friendly” in any language! Their cluster had hardly gotten moving when the Aberration dashed ahead. She released some tension she hadn’t realized she'd been holding and relaxed a little. His two heads had seemed to be arguing, not loud enough for her to catch the words, but enough to make her a little nervous. It couldn’t be good to not agree with your self! A couple Tundras hurried after, including the one who had [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/qnc/3215857/7#post_53610000]smiled[/url] at her so nicely, with a heavily armored Guardian not far behind. [i]Would she really need all that? [/i] Florasighth considered her own unarmored self, as she trailed along with Hawthorne, and, uh, some fungal thing. A [u]big[/u] fungal thing. A big [u]chatty[/u] fungal thing... Florasighth piped up enough to keep the probable Obelisk talking, but she wasn’t so interested in mushrooms herself. Not that Heemi seemed to notice. Florasighth shifted so the two others could speak together more readily, and tried to hang back to watch them interacting. But Hawthorne seemed to want her in front. No problem, she could observe them just as well from there, using her body eyes, as she scanned ahead for what may come. She’d caught some odd sounds, but couldn’t quite tell their direction. She hoped the forward bunch didn’t get hurt too badly, though she wouldn’t mind if something happened to encourage them to exit the competition. She hadn’t lost sight of the prize and sighed dreamily at the thought of finding that special bloom… @Jeevas @Heemi

@Deladria Not sure if I'll ever have time to communicate this, but Hawthorn actually spent a lot of time mentoring a druid pupil that was a Coatl! He is a very stereotypical Fae, and would normally struggle with communication with coatl folk. But the two learned how to communicate with each other through pollen and spores! They can also communicate in draconic, but a lot of inflection and nuance is produced through pheromones and the like.

His previous pupil, now graduated! They spend a lot of time apart now, with Hawthorn spending most of his time away from the clan, but maybe said pupil had caught wind of his adventure?

[/quote] BYE THIS MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD Also I feel a little silly to realize I didn't make this obvious in the writing, @Jeevas your dragons do not have guides through the caves. The crew only guided them up the entrance and was like "lol good luck bye". This is a common theme with this event crew lol. Lionheart is too cheap to pay for guides, otherwise he'd just go in himself! Krill is not totally unjustified in his hatred of Lionheart XD

@Aikka Oops! I thought I saw somewhere that the guides were taking us down one of each of the branches. Guess not!

Looking at the tundra a little confused, they both opened their mouth and asked "Are you boo'ing at me for attention? it only confuses us more because i have only looked down the cavern??" The Abberation scratched one of their chins with a pointy nail and looked back at Taiga. "don't see us doing anything wrong. what's your name anyway?" The Abberation came up close to the tundra and offered a sharp clawed hand?foot? to help his teammate get up and stop admiring the earth they're sitting on. "Raijin." they said at same time. "We're pirates. we love treasures." @SilentWanderer
