No prophesies came to his people, nor any peace in the wake of the terrifying hurricane. While they had not lost their elemental magic (a sign that the God of Water was not dead), the lack of a perfect Eleven caused mayhem in the natural order of things. The Shade had yet to break through, but the seal provided by the shattered World Pillar had only weakened with a god's disappearance. In light of this, divine beings who granted godship to the Eleven decided it was best to perhaps send a Balance to keep world order. But the Balance broke, leaving light and darkness separated. This semi-divine being was a little less divine and a little more dragon that the divine beings had hoped for. However, in the wake of the words of one of their own, they issued a new order to the Light and Darkness. "Spend time with the mortals of this world. Learn their ways, travel with them, share in their happiness and grief. When you have deemed yourselves complete of this task, reunite with one another and complete your original duty." With this order engraved into their very souls, they took on the form of dragons and descended to Sornieth. The Darkness took on the on the name of Akai, an Imperial of Shadow. Then, with her newfound allies, she moved to explore. [/columns]

On a 1 the hatchling leaves your caravan. When a dragon reaches level 5 it must roll for a job. (Job list is below.) [u][i]Caravan Leader modifications[/i][/u] When a dragon rolls the Caravan Leader role, they will immediately die/lose a life in failing to trying to overthrow Akai as her position as leader (which is impossible since she is still part-divine). If a dragon still stands after being defeated by Akai, they can reroll for a job. If they land on Caravan Leader again, see above. In addition, the Caravan Leader cannot be killed under any circumstances. However, they also cannot gain any lives. If they were to receive a life, the extra life will be given to the highest-leveled member of the caravan (your choice if tie). [u][i]Leveling modifications[/i][/u] Due to Akai's divine presence, all dragons that join her caravan typically inherit one of the elements of their parents on top of the element they were born with. When a dragon reaches Level 10, they acquire a second, more hidden element. Flip a coin to determine which parental element the dragon inherits (if the parents differ in element from each other and their child's), or roll a d10 if the child and their parents share the same element. When three dragons in the caravan have the same second element, movement in that elemental region is doubled. Akai is not affected by this rule.[/quote]

She knew that Tassos was pretty butter-fingered… and that Sombra wasn’t very forgiving. Akai let out a large groan, already regretting her decision to let them come with. She turned to the clearing where her crewmates were slumbing out up, juggling a giggling blue Spiral between them. Akai’s eye twitched as they managed to settle in front of her. Tassos was looking at her happily and expectantly, the hatchling Spiral stared up at Akai with her big Wind-colored eyes, and Sombra looked about as annoyed as Akai felt… and just about as confused. “[i]What,[/i]” Akai muttered, looking between the three of them. “What.” “So, uhm,” Tassos began carefully, grinning nervously, “I was looking around while you prepared the caravan, and heard this one crying. She was abandoned and- and I couldn’t just leave here there!” “I found this one,” Sombra jerked her head at Tassos, “trying to carry the child back… but of course, she’s a huge klutz and almost broke the thing.” Akai groaned, rubbing her brow with her claws. This form she had taken on… it still felt a little awkward to be in. Must be why she still retained a lot of mannerisms from her true form. “And so now you want to adopt her,” Akai finished. Tassos nodded enthusiastically while Sombra shrugged. Akai groaned again, this time silently. She crouched down to the tiny hatchling, leveling her with a powerful glare. She had done the same to Tassos and Sombra when had woken up, but both of them proved capable of withstanding her divine-empowered glare. “What’s your name?” The hatchling quivered under her gaze, but confidently croaked out an “Angelsky…” Akai raised an eyebrow again, leaning back to stand normally. After a moment, she clicked her teeth and swirled around, disregarding the trio. “She can come along. She’s brave and mature enough.” “Yes!” Tassos cheered, nudging the tiny hatchling who yelled happily alongside the Snapper. Sombra rolled her eyes before moving to join Akai in the large caravan that was sitting behind the Dusk Sanctum. “So where to, boss?” Sombra huffed. Akai rolled her eyes, sliding the door to the cable tram-like caravan open. Sombra’s eyebrows lifted as she watched Akai disappear inside. “Oi, Akai?” “Get Tassos and Angelsky and drag ‘em in here,” Akai’s voice snapped back. Sombra rolled her eyes, before turning to do what Akai said. -*-*-*- “We could go to the Murkbarrow Close,” Tassos suggested. The party of four sat in the bigger-in-the-inside caravan that was created through Akai’s semi-divine power and what little she remembered of her past self prior to her calling to Sornieth. “What’s waiting for us there?” Akai raised an eyebrow. She glowered at Angelsky as the young child tried to coil herself around Akai. Angelsky huffed before moving to try and coil around Sombra. “It’s the most densely inhabited place in the Tangled Woods,” Tassos smiled. “If anything, it’ll be a good first stop for figuring out where to go next.” “Yeah, and what about this one?” Sombra growled, throwing her tail out to the side to reveal Angelsky wrapped around the gray tail laced with long purple spikes. “We’re taking her with us, at least for now,” Akai sighed. “She’s from the Wind region, right? I remember you telling me dragons’ eye colors are dependent on the place they’re born.” Tassos nodded, her grinning face conveying her pride. “So the Windswept Plateau might not be a terrible place to head to, either!” “We’ll have to see once we get to the Murkbarrow Close,” Akai turned around and began inputting directions into the mechanical navigation system. Sombra, Tassos, and Angelsky watched with varying levels of fascination as opaque crimson tracks appeared in front of the tram. With a rumbling start, the cable tram began rolling again. Akai turned around to address them only to be jumped by Angelsky. She immediately screeched, which made Tassos’ jaw drop and Sombra begin howling with laughter. Akai huffed, summoning familiar red steams of magic. They picked up Angelsky and placed her on top of Tassos’ back. The tendrils then disappeared, and Akai sighed. “It’ll take us a while before we’ll reach there,” she said. “You should take what time we have to rest.” With that, the semi-divine being of Darkness disappeared into further in the cable tram.
