Helllloooo everyone! Planck's and Korsha's nest hatched today, and I was quite pleasantly surprised, so I think that you will be, too! Let's meet our first hatchlings!
I decided that the naming convention for this challenge will be to start the alphabet backwards, so all of our hatchlings have names that start with Z. So, we have the firstborn and only female of the clutch, Zuri!
Okay, not the most attractive genes. But!! With the right genes, those colors could really work for her, I think... or maybe I am deluding myself.
Next, we have my favorite of the bunch, Zachariah!
He is actually quite fetching! Can we stop here...? No. I don't think he's a perma dragon for me yet. And he inherited butterfly over patchwork...! Blessed be. I hate patchwork.
Then there is Zeke.
This young man is all green and even has faceted eyes! The patchwork and the koi are unfortunate, though...
And, last but not least, we have Zakai!
He's got a very pretty color scheme. I love the jaguar. But that patchwork... blech.
Honestly, they could have turned out much worse! I really like Zachariah, and Zakai would be nice as an heir, too. Well, I put them in a random name selector.
Zachariah won!!! So he is our next heir!
And, unless any donors come forward, his mate will be the first in the female bank, Snowflake!
I received her in the XXY give/get thread! A lucky find! So, we'll probably lose that oh-so-lucky butterfly and the opal, but!! I like the blue range so much!
Anyway, Planck, Zuri, Zeke, and Zakai are all available for new homes! (If you really want Korsha, I can fork her over, too, but if no one takes her, I plan to keep her.) If you want Zachariah or Snowflake, you can call dibs and I will send them to you as soon as the next nest hatches.
I will see you all in five days with a breeding card for Zachariah and Snowflake, unless a major upset occurs between then and now. Zachariah will then have his friend iguana, too. (Been thinking about making all the animal companion apparel i can in alchemy and putting them all on our heirs so that they are buried in critters but we'll see.)
