The law has somehow located the group’s hideout! Flip a coin. If heads, most of them manage to escape; exalt one random dragon. If tails, two random dragons fall during the escape and must be exalted. The Lord of Under was convinced that one of the newest members of the Chosen had to have been careless and accidentally leaked their location. How else would the authorities somehow manage to find their concealed hideout?! Certainly, it couldn't be the all powerful Lord of Under's fault! And of course, the Chosen were ambushed when the Lord of Under was away on business, truly helpless without him. While most members managed to escape, Holanthrus and Ira were not so lucky. They were both apprehended and taken away. As punishment, the Lord of Under told the Chosen to not even bother trying to break them out. That was their fate for their carelessness.

The Lord of Under sweeps his gaze across his Chosen, and decides that Alberto and Rhonda will embark on this quest. Alberto later returned from this quest. However, Rhonda never returned, and the Lord of Under pronounced her dead.

Roll a d10 for each of your lowest-level dragons. If it’s higher than their level, exalt them. They were not good enough. Raise the remaining low-level dragons by one level. Selene's eyes grazed across Sacrificio's current roster of members, until her eyes fell on the freeloader: Ronguway. He had shown up out of nowhere, saying how much he revered the Lord of Under and wished to help him in his endeavors. But he never really... did anything, unlike the other members of Sacrificio. And honestly? Selene was getting rather tired of him having around. So she devised a plan to get rid of him. A simple... test, to see if he was worthy of being among them. To prove that he was really here to help. And of course, he failed. Realistically, the odds of Ronguway passing that test were marginally slim. But he didn't need to know that. Selene banished him quickly, chasing him out of their headquarters and promising him consequences if he were to return. Ronguway left, and Sacrificio never saw him again.

The squad’s gettin’ smart. Wicked smart. Three random dragons are now SO smart that they forgot how to die. If any of them would, for any reason, be exalted, they now simply...don’t do that. But only once. Treat this as an “extra life” of sorts. Rhett, Selene, and Penthus were all determined to get on the Lord Under's good side. Well, as much as they possibly could, anyway. The three of them pushed themselves to their limits for weeks - and it paid off. They're much better at thievery and general evil. So good, in fact, that they all gained a "get out of jail free" card. The Lord of Under hardly has any reason to acknowledge the achievements of these underlings - but he is impressed that they would do so much just to try to please him.

In a rare occurrence, the Lord of Under has decided to enact a trial for the Chosen without a new recruit, mumbling something about these whelps taking up valuable space and oxygen.


Cull the Herd. When the group reaches 20 in number, roll a D12 for every single dragon - the only exception to this is the leader. If you get a number higher than a dragon's level, exalt that dragon. They did not pass The Lord Under's test and must face the consequences. Raise the level of the surviving members by one. They survived the grueling test and are now one level stronger.

The Lord of Under observed safely from a distance, obscured by the shadows as he meticulously evaluated everyone's performance.

The Lord Under is stunned by the extremely poor performance from many of the greatest warriors in the Chosen, including the leader. In the end, it is probably for the best - he can't afford to have weak, pathetic swine in Sacrificio.

However, many of the members that failed were granted a pardon from the extra life they still had left.

Slotter, however, was determined to join Ralof in death due to their bond, despite having passed the test. So does the spiral, Andrey. Even though he passed, his lover Tegan did not, and begged to join him in death.

Aside from those, the Lord of Under... dealt with the rest that failed without a second chance. Those that remained became one level stronger.
