[center][i]The latticed vines rising tall above the treeline mark the Hollow Woods. Here the Starwood is choked with vines, shifting trees, and grabbing branches. Crystals sprout at the borders, here holding back the encroaching rot of the Plague domain, and there within the calm waters beneath the Crystalspine Reaches. The dragons here are whip smart and fierce, researchers and warriors both. Boldly coloured and bold of nature, they burn back the strange fleshy ground, twist their way through tangling woods, and dive deep towards crystal resonances.[/i][/center] I have the usual too many dragons, not enough lore problem. I’m not going to be too fussy about staying super close to word counts at all in this challenge. All of this will be rough and unedited. Sometimes a prompt will just trail off or skip nonsensically. Maybe I'll clean things up in the future (dedicated lore thread?). Hovering over the reeds, high above the sweet stench wafting from the nearby Plague border, she had seen air currents disappearing into a distant forest more dense than most in her home, and had decided she wanted to see what was in there for herself. The Hollow had seemed to stretch up and grab her, pulling her into its latticed embrace. She had been swiftly assigned a task group: the one researching the Tangle.Mnemosyne had been told her colouring matched the strangely twinkling gloom of the forest, and perhaps it was for this reason the forest gave up its secrets more readily to her than to others. Or, perhaps, it had to do with her eyes and the way she saw the currents in the air – every movement made a ripple that showed exactly what was before her. Either way, her findings had been dutifully logged, her enthusiastic theories noted, and her place in the clan settled.
