Then how can the various colors that decorate the night sky be so vast and colorful if we all know that it is in actuality is just a void— an indefinite blackness that threatens to swallow one if they get too close.
But amongst the inky blackness that is a void above, small twinkling lights are decorating the blackness. These are stars, beings of light and energy that eventually will fade away with time. Though in some instances, those stars give way to new life, and that is what happened. When there is life, there is also death. The Shade is a known being of course, and it threatens life wherever it goes. Enter in Night, and Stardust, these two Star born dragons fell to Sorneith Eons ago, with the sole intention of protecting the world they know from the Shade by teaching others the dangers as well as their own children in the process. As with newer generations, magic grows in number, and with powerful magic they can drive back the shade.
But time will tell, is it all for nothing…?

[i]Even with powerful magic that can be bestowed through generations, dragons can be overwhelmed by the allure of dark magic, and those dragons have fallen to the power of the shade. Once you have fallen to the Allure of the Shade there’s no coming back to the side of the twelve deities. For the dragon has been corrupted by the Shade’s touch and the only way that they can come back to their uncorrupted form is divine intervention (unlikely) or a blessing from the dragons patron (also unlikely). The dragons have dark tones for their scales, sharpened talons, teeth, a skinny frame and are very aggressive. It is recommended that you do not engage these dragons lest you get infected yourself, for where you see one, more are bound to be around. These dragons travel in packs, searching for more to infect and bring more power to the shade. The breeds most noticed to be shade touched are as follows; Aberration, Bogsneak, Fae, Mirror, Tundra, Veilspun.[/i]
Note; Any dragon can be shade touched, these breeds have been more noticed to be shade touched and vulnerable to being influenced. (Though I will only allow the specific breeds for lore purposes, if you want your dragon to be shade touched, it won’t be considered cannon to the lineage) As long as they have dark tones with their genes, colors and one of the breeds above they are shade touched. Just no flashy genes that change their colors from dark to really bright colors.

These dragons are haughty in nature having increased stamina, magic stores, harder scales, and very powerful magic given by the deity’s themselves to combat the shade and those that are shade touched. Though it is possible that those who are Deity Blessed to become infected, it’s theorized that they can’t get infected due to the blessing the deity’s have given them. Though it’s still very possible for that ward to fail if a dragon isn’t prepared for a magic attack from a shade touched dragon. If given enough time, the shade dragon can break through the deity made ward by using its dark shade magic if given the time.
If a dragon who is deity blessed gets its ward broken, it will become weak, fragile and pale with dark obsidian lines through is body. Its ward will never recover and the deity’s blessing will be gone. There is no known cure to recover other then another divine blessing or divine intervention. The way to tell the difference between a regular shade touched and a deity shade touched dragon is that for a deity shade touched dragon the lines will go to a gold type color as their scales turn a ashen black and turn into the known attributes of a regular shade touched dragon. Note; Like with Shade Touched dragons any dragon can be Deity Blessed, but these breeds are more commonly noticed to be faithful to trying to contain those that are shade touched. The breeds most noticed to be Deity Blessed are as follows; Guardian, Imperial, Skydancer, Wildclaw, Gaoler[/i]
