"Okay, okay, I'm hurrying!" Livewire frantically threw on everything that Clawrice handed her. "Wait, what is this?"
"Nevermind, no time to explain! We've got to confuse the machine mind!" Clawrice wrapped herself around Livewire's neck. "Now charge! We are the four-headed Emperor of doom!"
Livewire charged. The machines stalking toward the center where Bitbyte was attempting to cut the wire--they hoped--immediately turned to face this new threat. They were most definitely confused by the flashing lights and varying elemental magics--not to mention the many, many wings and several heads of the creature charging them. When Clawrice separated from Livewire and went the opposite direction they were still more confused.
One by one they began to shut down. The dragonesses were approached by one final golem.
"CHAAAAAARGE!" shouted Clawrice.
"Calm down, you idiots, it's me." Bitbyte pulled out one of her blinking red, angry contact lenses. The effect was disconcerting.
"But..." "How..."
"Obviously I had a back-up plan. If I still look like an evil attack drone, it's going to be hard to pinpoint me."
"Other than your most definitely organic signature," Clawrice pointed out dryly.
Bitbyte shrugged. "Anyway, thatnsk for distracting them long enough for me to get that wire snipped. Now let's see if that blasted Skydancer has any more costume changes up his sleeves." She looked around the control room, which was strewn with apparel that had flown out of various compartments of Clawrice's partially loosened armor. "You think we have enough?" she asked facetiously.
