A firm believer that realistic conditions cannot be recreated in a controlled environment, his field research involves him living among the subjects of his study for months at a time, ingratiating himself as a mere facet of the environment so that he can observe animal behavior at its most natural. His dedication to his field of study is as much a subject of respect as it is one of concern. During one memorable sojourn, he attempted to disguise himself as a lionsnake and join a pride of the creatures so as to experience their social behavior firsthand. The charade actually did work, but attempting to mimic their all-carnivorous diet made him deathly sick for weeks.

His Guardian ancestry didn't much help; Guardian dragons are almost universally respected for their selfless dedication to their Charge. But, frankly, Leon had no desire to be selfless or dedicated. He'd rather simply enjoy himself and go through life unacknowledged and unburdened by others. Ultimately, Leon resorted to alchemy to dodge his looming responsibilities, following Baldwin's example in transforming himself into a Bogsneak. He's quite pleased with the change, reveling in his renewed lack of instinctual pulls toward altruism, and not missing his old size and intimidating presence in the slightest.

He thoroughly vets each potential crewmember before allowing them anywhere near The Eye's controls, and restricts all passengers to designated areas only. Harlan once offered to tune up the ship's engines, and Hurricane was so offended that he hasn't spoken to the inventor since.

Beady eyes follow the movements of all who enter his silent domain, ensuring that none but he disturb the black loam of the burial mounds. Not all dragons of the Archipelago desire burial after death, but those who do can rest in peace knowing that they have a posthumous guardian in Dorian.

She's something of an eccentric; her particular brand of tourism involves a lot more staring at individual flowers and insects than taking in grand scenic views. Addy engages in art as a hobby and keeps on her person a leather-bound journal filled with her own sketches of the various trinkets that capture her imagination on her travels. The Gienah Archipelago is a favorite recurring destination of Addy's, for a host of reasons. The islands' ever-changing location means there's always something new to view from Floating Spire's apex.

The Shade surged out in an oily wave, coiling around the small Fae in an attempt to consume her entirely. There was no pain, only cold numbness as the darkness ate away at the webbing of her wings. Terrified even to open her mouth to scream lest she invite the Shade in, Hydra struggled blindly away, feet splashing helplessly in the accumulated rainwater. She remembers little now of the specifics of what happened then, only bits and pieces: The realization that she was no longer alone: [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/142981]Meteora[/url], eyes glinting in the moonlight, suddenly behind her. Wind buffeting the parts of her that could still feel. The sounds of her clanmates mourning her loss, but she was right there. [i]I'm right here.[/i]
