My name is Geyser, and I am proud to finally announce what the Fire Flight has been [i]cooking[/i] up this year in preparation for the Annual Flameforger's Festival! I hope you've brought your appetite, because the ovens are being turned up [i]to the max[/i] to bring you this week's prime entertainment! Here at Geyser's Grocery Games, we will get to witness, cheer, bribe, and smear three brilliant competitors for the honor of cooking for Flamecaller herself during the upcoming festival! Of course, we wouldn't be able to do this without our generous taste testers and fellow dragons, now would we? You are all welcome and invited to grab your favorite recipes, whether from your grand progenitor seven times removed, or from a shared community of weekly dragon hangouts, and compete alongside our culinary combatants for a five day special ensemble, catered directly to your taste buds! Each day, our three chefs will work with your help to create a dish for the theme of the meal, and they will be ranked from best to worst. In this they will be judged for:[/color] [center]- Quality - Effort - Quantity and - Edibility![/center] [color=darkred]Don't worry; if your favorite chef has a moment of lapse for one day, they're not out of the running! With our five day system, only one dragon will come out on top![/color] [size=2]This event is supporting Fire's Dominance Bank with 100% of its profits. No actual insects, animals, creatures of the sea, or desserts were harmed in the making of this production or thread (except our pun testers who were graciously paid). Geyser not responsible for repercussions if audience members attempt to bribe judges in other competitions. Please do not attempt lava cooking from home unless, of course, you're a Fire dragon. Geyser is not affiliated with the (in)famous Guy Fire'ri. Production staff are not responsible for health and safety of audience members who attempt to compare Geyser and Fire'ri.[/size]

[center][size=6][b]Rules[/b][/size][/center] Audience participation is an essential, time-honored component of Geyser's Grocery Games! Feel free to [b]support[/b] your favorite chef, [b]sabotage[/b] your least favorite, and [b]bribe the judge[/b] to help your competitor win! You can even do all of the above for all of the chefs - Geyser won't stop you! There are five rounds - meat, seafood, plant, insect, and desserts - which will begin on Monday, July 27th. Rounds last one day, so supports, sabotages, and bribes must be received before the post is made for the start of the next round. A round lasts from 00:30 FR time through to 23:59 FR time. Even if we haven't posted the day's round intro, you can still cast your supports, sabotages, and bribes for that day. We will use the time stamps on the messages to determine which day it is. [emoji=meat size=1] [b]Supports[/b] are accomplished by sending one of the prime ingredients from the round to your chosen chef. Supports will add one or three points to a competitor's score, with higher-tier ingredients being worth more points. [emoji=seafood size=1] [b]Sabotages[/b] are achieved by sending any Baldwin materials - goo, ooze, sludge, slime, or muck - to a competitor. They're working so fast they won't even notice! Sabotages subtract one point from a competitor's overall score for the round. [emoji=plant size=1] [b]Bribes[/b] are performed by handing Geyser a sack of pure treasure or gems with your competitor's name on it. Geyser is quite busy, so will only take bribes in 10k treasure or 10 gem increments. Every increment of bribe will add 5 points to the competitor's score. [emoji=insect size=1] Complete a Sous Chef Form and PM it to @Falconair or @Reithya with the proper materials. Forms do not need to be posted in this thread. Multiple forms can be submitted in one PM. There are no limits to the number of forms you can submit per day. [emoji=birthday cake size=1] Feel free to cheer on your competitor! [emoji=firework size=1] Previous rounds have no impact on standings for the next round. Results for previous rounds may not be released before the next round begins. Don't let my small size diminish your hungry appetite! The name's Spanspek; that means Cantaloupe for all of you groupies who don't excel at the culinary delights of insect and plant based foods! I may be small, but that's to make up for my larger than life attitude and I am a fierce competitor, fearless in the kitchen or by the hearth! When I hatched, I was curled around myself and I apparently looked like a melon, cantaloupe, so I'm told (often). And with my rocky gemstone hide, ironically enough, the name for Cantaloupes in the South of Sornieth are, no joke, called Rockmelons. Who calls such tasty melons rockmelons, anyway? It's not like we're in the Shattered Plains, here! Where was I? Oh, right! With my talented claws and iron will, I'm here to cut the competition down to size! I was named after the fruit I couldn't get enough of as a hatchling, as it also looks alot like my fire-colored hide and even the proper name for my species! (Get it? Coatl? Quat? They sound the same!) Anyways, not to bore you with the details, I went on an adventure to learn *all* about fruit and what could be made from them, when I ran into the Legendary *Fireri*. They opened up my mind to be open to *every* possibility that could be thought of on Sornieth, and let me tell you, I've always wanted to follow in their wingbeats even as the dragon I am that can just barely understand the level of flavor that 'Flavortown' has to offer! As a hatchling, my long coat made the winters absolutely unbearable among the lava flows. Once I was old enough, I started to spend my winters in the frozen lands of our neighbors. It was there that I became aware that not everyone uses vats of lava to cook! I studied in the deepest caverns of Ice's domains to learn the secrets of adding sugar and cream to frozen water, and have even mastered flash-freezing insects as treats. When I shed my winter coat, I return to the Ashfall Wastes of my birth and share my culinary secrets from colder lands. You might think that I'm sugary-sweet, but be careful, I've still got a dragon's bite when it comes to competition! [center][size=6][b]Badges[/b][/size][/center] Badges can be unlocked on a daily basis throughout the course of the event, and are awarded based on which competitor you supported and how well they performed at each stage. The badges [b][i]do[/i][/b] have a progression, so missing a day means you will be missing a step in the sequence. Please only claim the badges that you have actually achieved. Badges may be shown anywhere on Flight Rising. [i]Did you miss a badge?[/i] Certain badges may be purchased at the end of the event for a flat treasure/gem rate.
