Airandara and Shannis are level 25 now! Yes, they started the day at 23, so I gave them 2 levels instead of 1, but I decided it was just neater to finish the job of leveling them to 25 on today, day 300, while we had a food item. Hard to believe it's been 300 days, almost a year (I even kept this going while I had COVID and was seriously ill). Airandara is now the second-in-command of the Night's Watch Trainee Camp. This will bring with it a couple of important changes, so here's what this means going forward: -When I receive a food item, Ara will be taking two recruits to the coliseum to level them and then Airandara will be taking two other recruits to the coliseum to level them. In the event there are fewer than four recruits at the time, they will be getting levels from both Ara and Airandara. -With this in place, I will be keeping this challenge going until one of the following scenarios happens: A. Ara and Airandara have trained 24 recruits (not counting Shannis). Originally it was 12, but now that there's two trainers I'm doubling the amount. B. There are no dragons left in the challenge but Ara and Airandara, which could conceivably happen once RasputinDab is level 25, if there are no more primal/MG dergs and Pinkerton is exceptionally mean. In case 24 dergs to 25 from 2 trainers sounds too easy, now would be a good time to give you a statistic: we have only had 3 "graduates" and [b]98 departures[/b]. The odds are more strongly against someone getting exalted well before they reach 25. Anyway, that's the news for now, I'll be updating the front page posts of my Pinkerlocke to reflect the changes shortly.

Ara narrowed his eyes suspiciously as Airandara approached. While Airandara had given nothing but the appearance of loyalty - he liked her and he wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt it was mutual - he still worried that he had made some misstep somewhere and now that Airandara had graduated from the training program, there would be a mutiny. But instead of a knife, Airandara unwrapped a vial. "We all chipped in and bought this from the alchemists at the Frozen Sanctum. It will make you stronger." Ara didn't know what to say. That wasn't just the opposite of a mutiny, it was the most thoughtful gift he'd ever received. He got choked up. He accepted a hug from the Tundra. "May I do the honors?" she asked. Ara nodded solemnly. After the vial was applied, Cassius took a step back and said, "You know, it's awfully hard to see the snowflakes with all them head bows." "You're right. I think it's time for a makeover," Airandara said. They didn't just stop there, though. "You need a fez," Glittersheen said; Malvina nodded eagerly.
