I have basically exited Flight Rising. I am protesting the treatment of the beastclan lore and its coming retcon. I understand that this is Stormlight Workshop's IP and decision, but it's mine not to participate in a sanitising measure that avoids backlash but treats its userbase like children. This site is designed for 13+ and I believe 13+ is capable of permitting 'uncomfy' situations that are not direct representations of Human Earth History and dealing with them in a way that allows growth. Dragons are not colonialists, nobody ever said Beastclan were 'lesser', it's human guilt for human actions being pushed onto a pixel dragon game.
Had Flight Rising chosen to deal with this by, for example, writing lore about the changing attitudes of dragons and beastclans, I would probably still be here. My specific issue is the action they took was to simply scrub it clean and remove lore/content. That is my problem.
If you need to reach me, I use this same username everywhere, (Except youtube, that's not me. I don't know who that is.)and I may occasionally pop my head in to stare at my pretty pixels and my old accomplishments, but I will not be participating in new things. Thank you, Flight Rising, for the things you made previously and the enjoyment I got from them then.
