"It seems fitting, doesn't it? To leave her in Dragonhome? The land of the past and remembrance."

"You always did have a flair for the dramatic, my dear."

"Ah, yes, but you love me for it."

Deep within the Greatwyrm's Breach, where only the barest of Lightweaver's reach extends, there is an old, near forgotten cave. Old murals along the walls tell a story of a family that once ruled the surrounding land. Nine rooms lay empty, gathering dust. In the tenth room stands a Skydancer and her familiar, surrounded by magic and placed carefully on pedestal with an inscription beneath her.

There once was a Kingdom with wealth beyond measure
But alas, they didn’t know what in truth was real treasure

A Queen stolen, frozen in a moment of time
Kept on display until someone exposes their crime

Appease the Two, both Storyteller and Collector
Or else doom her forever to be simply a specter

The Collector is devoted to items from around the world
Bring them proof of how your own adventure unfurled

The Storyteller lives off of the tales and words spread
Spin them this tale, following to the very end of the thread

General Rules: Fainting in the coli is death, exalt immediately. Flip a coin on every hatched dragon; tails is death. Do not gather for food. There is only room for ten dragons in the lair.

Buying Dragons: You can only buy dragons on the auction house when you have three fully leveled dragons, and only buy one when you successfully level a dragon to 25 again. The dragon must be the cheapest in the auction house without any genes, using RNG to pick a random breed.

Eggs: Eggs can not be bought, only found. Any hatched egg must have a coin flipped to see if the hatchling survives.

Altering Dragons: At level 5, you may scatter. At level 10, you may change the primary. At 15, the secondary. At 20, the tertiary. Lastly, at 25, you may change the breed and eyes.

Retiring: The Storyteller demands that characters complete the story or death; however the Collector may show mercy against boss monsters (and only boss) if the dragons fighting has a fully coded and written biography, art, a completed outfit, and fully leveled and gened.

The Goal: To free the Queen, the Storyteller and the Collector both must be appeased. The Storyteller asks for a full consecutive year's worth of stories, one for every day along this quest along with all fourteen chapters of the Queen's story. The Collector asks for trinkets from around the world, bring them: a full stack of every food and trinket drop, one of each apparel, and one of each familiar from each Coliseum venue.

The cool earth under her feet was a welcome relief from the summer sun above ground. Small rays of sun still reached down the cracks of the Breach, but something tugged Valeri even deeper. The small caves around her would work just as well for a temporary lair, but still she made her way towards the bottom of the gorge. She figured that perhaps she had caught a whiff of a familiar scent, or even a stash of food that another clan had left abandoned in an old lair. Either way, Valeri knew that if she came across another dragon, she could say for sure that she had a sure destination to head towards. She just didn’t know what destination that was. Only that it was a destination that had pulled her from her family and clan in order to seek out. The smooth cave entrance that Valeri finally stopped spoke of a clan made den. Even from her slight distance, she could make out the edges of the murals that dragons of Earthen nature were so fond of. She lifted her muzzle higher into the air, scenting the air around the cave for monsters. A few stale scents closer to dragons than monsters or beastclan still hung in the area and she felt confident in wandering into the old lair safely. Shadows climbed along the walls, broken torches and lights scattered along the ground. Valeri reached out her wing, letting it brush against the walls and the murals that dotted along them. One dragon, colored with the reds, yellows, and oranges of fire, appeared to repeat in them all the most, feathered Skydancer wings stretched wide behind them. Cool wind ruffled her fur, bringing some of the cold that Valeri was used to. Truly the world outside of the Southern Icefields was fascinating. She had almost stopped at the Isles simply to stare at the crystals and meteors that covered the area. But Dragonhome had called to her, and so she went. It wasn’t the largest lair that Valeri had seen, but poking around the dusty rooms spoke of a rich clan, one with treasures to spare from the old trinkets that lay on the ground. Valeri would have to clean them out if she stayed here. And stay here, she planned to. The itch at the bottom of her feet felt almost quiet in the silent lair. Almost content in a way. She followed the last remnants of the itch towards the back of the lair. For a moment, she caught sight of a Skydance, lean and long before something barreled into her side. Valeri rolled with the momentum, letting the claws sheer away at her fur as she backed up and away. The Mirror hissed at her, fans flaring as they crouched lower to the ground. Valeri tilted her head to the side. “You don’t smell like an enemy,” she said, mostly to herself. “And you sound stupid,” the Mirror spat back at her. “Stupid Tundra wandering into a place that’s not yours. Get out.” Valeri blinked slowly at them. “There’s no one else here,” she said, lifting her nose up to make sure that she had smelled that right. Only the old stale smells, and ah, yes, there it was, the blood ridden scent of a Mirror. Alone though. Which was as strange as Valeri’s own urge to leave her clan for somewhere else. Perhaps they could be strange together. “That’s the way I like it.” The Mirror scratched at the ground, fangs bared in the low light of the cave. “So get out.” Valeri stretched her wings in thought, part of her amused at how large the Mirror seemed compared to her. She glanced behind the Mirror’s spread wings; the Skydancer that seemed to call to her standing tall and proud on a pedestal. Stranger and stranger. Valeri would love to get to the bottom of this all. “It smells like home,” she said, and flapped her wings one. Yes, she would stay here and help this Mirror with whatever they were trying to do. It felt right, more right than anything else had felt in a while. She bent her head in a greeting nod. “I am called Valeri. May our journey be fruitful.” “What?” The Mirror blinked all four eyes at her as she turned towards one of the other rooms. Perhaps the Mirror would introduce themself later, or inform her of what was going on. “Wait, what are you doing?” The Mirror’s claws clicked against the floor as they scrambled after her. Valeri flapped her wings a few times happily. She would start by cleaning a few of the rooms. How her new clanmate had lived here for so long eluded her but well, she had time to learn. “I said get out!” “Are you going to make me?” Valeria asked, more curious than scared. The Mirror reared back, letting out a quiet hiss. “Fine! Whatever! Do what you want!” They were just getting started after all.

She could chase the smaller dragon out easily, she felt sure. Tundras in general were wimps that didn’t want to fight and cowered away without a flock to hide behind. Diana had sharper claws, sharper fangs, and a sharper attitude, as stubborn as the Tundra was; a few well placed blows and she’s be alone again. In the echoing emptiness of the lair. With only Usha’s still body for company. Plaguebringer’s disease. Diana hissed fiercely, taking a savage joy in the way that the Tundra flinched at the sound. The quiet clean up of the dust and untouched trinkets halted as the Tundra turned to stare at her with those stupid trusting eyes. Diana hissed again, getting to her feet and stalking towards the entrance of the lair. Stupid Tundra followed after her. “I’m going hunting,” Diana snapped. The Tundra simply blinked at her. Stubborn brat. The thought pulled Diana up short. She didn’t know how old the Tundra was, didn’t know anything about this other dragon except her name and her stubborn instance to remain despite Arcanist’s sense saying it would be smarter to do otherwise. “Maybe I’m going to meet back up with my pack.” Diana snapped her fangs together, tail whipping behind her and getting close enough to the Tundra that she had to feel the brush of air. Stubborn didn’t flinch, simply stared at her some more. “You’re not.” The Tundra sounded aggravatingly certain about that. Probably had something to do with that stupid nose of hers. Stupid, stupid, stupid. “I bet you can’t even hunt. Wimpy herbivore that you are,” Diana said, scratching her claws against the rough earth. She couldn’t get it to give away with the motion, but she couldn’t get anything to change could she? She didn’t mention that it would be one of her first times as well, that she had barely subsisted on what remained of her old pack’s store in the backroom until it all rotted away. “I will learn,” the Tundra nodded and stepped even closer. Fool of a fur covered, flea ridden- The ice of the Southern Fields must have frozen over what little sense that she had. Diana growled, mostly to herself and stalked out to the entrance. She angled her head up towards the sun, and flexed her claws. Sinking them into something soft and vulnerable would help her feel better. She flapped her wings and jumped, claws digging into the uneven ridges of the Breach’s edge as she hauled her weight up. Climbing her way out felt better than flying. Today, it made it easier to pretend that the flap of wings behind her didn’t ease something in her chest.

Different from yesterday and the messy kills. Valeri tilted her head to the side and lifted her nose. Blood hung in the air, as did her Mirror's headier scent. Today was still messy. Just not for her. Valeri bent down and carefully picked up the mouse by the tail. It swung through the air, but better that than getting the bitter taste of blood in her mouth again. It had taken forever to get it out. It had given her a reason to work on the small space in the lair made to hold water though! Progress. Maybe one day their little lair would actually be comfortable, as well as livable. Valeri flapped her wings at the thought. She hoped that her Mirror had caught a few birds today along with the mice. Her Mirror tended to simply swallow mice whole, crunching down on bones and devouring every bit that they could crunch. With birds however, they spent the time to pluck out the feathers. Something about how they didn't feel good in the back of the throat. Valeri didn't get it. Maybe it was like eating a certain type of plant? Carnivores. Valeri dropped her mouse in the small pile that she had collected. They could finally start storing up a new food hoard at this rate, rather than simply catching what they could eat. Another small bit of progress, and it had only been a few days! With feathers from birds, Valeri could make a more comfortable nest to sleep in as well, one that would help keep her Mirror warm. How all the non-furred species didn't freeze outside of the Ashfall Wastes, Valeri didn't know. She would make sure that her Mirror stayed warm and comfy all night, even through the winters. Especially through the winters. "Hey!" her Mirror snapped and Valeri flapped her wings happily at them. "What are you-" her Mirror stopped and stared at the pile of mice and birds at Valeri's feet. Their tail whipped around behind them, leaving little trails in the dirt. "Well. I guess it's alright. For a herbivore." Valeri stomped her feet happily. "I'm still not helping you carry the stupid feathers you want back though!" Well, of course not. Her Mirror would be carrying the food back. If they didn't eat it, that is. Then Valeri could use the time to set up a better nest, and maybe tonight her Mirror would even be open to sharing it. Pressing up against another warm body might help with the shivering that plagued her Mirror through the night. It might even help with the quiet echoing loneliness that still hung over the lair despite Valeri's best effort. She didn't know any other dragon she could invite in, and she didn't think her Mirror would welcome yet another intruder. Ah, well. Yet another thing for Valeri to tackle when the time came.
