Nines practically radiates hatchling energy whenever he meets someone new and finds them willing to talk. He can't help it as the thrill of hearing a new story is just as great as uncovering some vast treasure to him. Like his Light bretheren, Nines treasures knowledge as much as gold and is just as voracious in the search for both. He's of the belief that information is useless unless it's shared, so it works out nicely for the clan. Already he's looking forward to telling the alchemists about the magical food preservation he picked up from a Guardian explorer.
"Thankfully the Wasteland isn't nearly as barren as some rumors say. I've encountered quite a few friendly and generous dragons that have helped me get adjusted to the new land. I've visited several elemental homelands but never Plague until now."
His tail swishes back and forth in the simple joy of meeting another face out in the Wasteland. He gives a nod and respectful gaze, though, as overconfidence can be rather dangerous in new lands.
"A multi-headed beast, you say? I have come across several very large carcasses on my exploration. One looked like a great armored herbivore whereas the other was definitely a carnivore. They looked like they'd been there for quite a while, though, so I doubt the beast you're tracking was by there recently. The herbivore was to the north and the carnivore due west, quite a distance apart. At first I thought it was old age since the bones didn't show any sign of injury, though if this beast is venomous it could've killed them without leaving scars."
Although rather similar to a hatchling at heart, Nines is able to be serious when it's needed of him. He thinks back on the carcasses... Yes, there definitely weren't any broken or scraped bones. Even scavenger marks were minimal. Whatever ate from the corpses probably had rasping tongues that don't leave marks behind on the bone, or pulled meat chunks off to process further later.
"The only multi-headed beast I've seen was the frightful Emperor ravaging the Sunbeam Ruins. That was quite a while ago and I haven't seen any magical depletion that would suggest it's gotten here."
He shudders at the memory of that monstrocity. As his birth clan was entirely made of Imperials, they were some of the first to evacuate and warn others.
"But other than that I haven't seen anything particularly unusual. If there's anything else I can do to help, please let me know. My clan is large, powerful, wealthy and most of them are coming for the festival. I'm more than able to share supplies or ask some of our warriors to help out. I'm not a particularly strong fighter since I'm a scout but I can blind foes with my magic."
