And so, the time has come! I sent their mother in with them (leveled for exalting soon), so no leveling up here! The backstory behind it is that she was worried for her children, who've honestly been good kids and siblings since birth, and so decided to sneak out without her grandmother's knowledge to protect them. And when she gets knocked out, it's grandmama taking her back home for a scolding.
Their first encounter was with a Ruby Webwing and a Webwing Alpha. Right off the bat, Shiue loses 56HP from a critical hit. Then as if knowing Shiue's timid personality, they decided to attack her again. Taius wasn't able to take the hit from the Webwing Alpha, but barely managed to block Shiue from the Ruby Webwing's attack. As if driven by anger at the wounds inflicted on her children, Uena struck the Ruby Webwing with a critical hit, followed by Taius who quickly ended the Ruby Webwing's life, dodging when the Webwing Alpha attempted to get a hit in whilst he dropped the Ruby Webwing's corpse. Attempting to assist her family in battle, Shiue finally uses a Contuse. Proud, Taius gets another critical blow in, and his mother followed to end the Alpha.
There must've been word spreading about Shiue's weakness, because as soon as they step away, they're ambushed by another Alpha and a Silky Webwing of which scratched her as they appeared. Shiue's barely hanging on now; luckily, the Webwings have Uena in their sights now. Uena on the other hand, is worried that grandma dearest would know of her absence by now. They easily end the battle, thanks to Shiue and Taius' amazing affinity for critical hits.
But luck wasn't on their side - or at least Shiue's, as she's struck down as soon as their next encounter arrives. Taius loses his will to fight, as chances of critical strikes are given to the opponents. He barely hangs on to life by the time they've killed the Satin Pocketmouse and Webwing they were attacked by. He can barely even think; Uena has to chide him slowly before he returns just a little more to himself, and they can give their lost family member a proper burial.
Ailana makes her appearance then, furious at her granddaughter for assisting the heirs. But when she sees the mound, she's silent, and says no more. After bowing her head for a moment, Ailana glances at her descendants and takes to the skies. Uena and Taius follow after her in silence.
Colour me surprised; I literally and seriously did not cheat! Taius, my preferred heir (totally white-ranged, with a Peregrine upgrade) actually won - that makes it twice now! I feel sorry for him though; Shiue's gone now, and she was his 'charge' of sorts. But well, the heir's gotta heir.

This girl, Syndeln, will be his mate - according to the gene rarity guide by Straif, she's a one-up for all upgrades. There's an eleven day breeding cooldown between her and her mate so that's fun. She has a smol colour range with Taius, tthough, so that's nice. Still don't know where I'm goin' with this line.
