It's April Fool's Day -- aka, the perfect time for a new set of alphabet hatchlings!
My H generation hatched today from this lovely pair of G-named parents:
And here are the little babies, named after some elements!
I didn't need to toggle my insanely wonderful brand new HD-graphics to realize that I was going to go with Holmium as my heir. First of all, he got Cherub, which is something I was hoping for! Second of all, the fact that he's a male Snapper instead of a female provides a little variety for my heirs, breaking my combo. It's refreshing and I look forward to seeing him grow strong... IN HD.
Also, I know it's not exactly "new" anymore (at least not as new as this magnificent graphic renovation), but the Auction House revamp has made it so easy to grab the next mate. Filtering by gender was one thing, but to also be able to filter for named dragons was just magnificent. However, to keep with tradition, I ensured that my price ceiling was 10kt and that I sorted the dragons by auction expiration, soonest to latest. That way things will remain consistent across all my generations. All that said... take a gander at the freaking mate.
...There's a lot to say about her, that's for sure. If someone were to go back to the inferior graphics of the Flight Rising of yore, one would see that she has a lot of traits that are... not quite my cup of tea. I'm not a fan of female Skydancers because of how cramped they look in their boxes when grown. I hate Smoke in almost every instance, and Heartswallower is no exception. And Speckle? Crap. It's not that I dislike that gene -- it can look lovely and like velvet -- but I'd much rather have Cherub, you know?
Also. "Heartswallower."
I guess she's friends with Heartless from my Legacy of War challenge.
