It’s as rare as getting a pink mum from the Trading Post NPCs, me thinks! They’ve been accessible from Pinkerton and Tomo since their release:

They're obtainable via Coliseum, Tomo, and Pinkerton, the second two as bonus items, but they're still pretty rare as they almost never drop from any Trading Post activities and have about the same rate of dropping as an egg in the Coliseum. Congrats!!

I don't think it's excessively rare? Because I got one from Pinkerton two days in a row.
If you really want another one, I find the best way to do it is to grind the Training Fields with a higher level team to just get the enemies out real quick.
