@Avengerous Welcome back! I know the feeling, things get busy.

My first advice is Don't Sell Your Dragons Until You're 100% Sure because old dragons are worth a lot to certain groups (including me!). I would also add this to any retired familiars - anything from the festivals, the downtime familiars (Speedy, Golden Bantam Fangar, and Red-Footed Akirbeak) and the same goes for the apparel.

Right now the floor price for hatchlings is 6g/6000t, and adults hovers around 8g/8kt. Dragons that are more valuable are matchy or double/triple G1s, dragons with newer genes (eclipse, gecko, chess, and checkers - all on moderns - are the newest right now), and 'old oaks' dragons - generally speaking, the dragons with lower digits or who have '1 decade' in their age listing are the most valuable, and that is even more true for Earth-element dragons, since Earth is the smallest flight. Beyond that? I can't tell you. I price my dragons a bit over the fodder floor just to give them a fighting chance of a permanent home, but I'm not shocked if dragons at 15kt/g get exalted during especially heated pushes. Since joining the site, though, I think the G1 market has become much larger. Hatcheries are more for passion than profit these days.

You can check the Dom Watch threads for info on dominance! It's the weekly push for who gets the weekly bonuses in the following week, and is essentially a competition between flights to see who can exalt the most dragons. Right now, Wind is the only one pushing because next week is the Mistral Jamboree!

Pricing dragons is always kind of a shot in the dark. Fodder (dragons slated to be exalted) is currently anything around 5.5k and under, but that price rises if there's a push going on. You can keep track of that by following the Dom Watch folks (there's a pinglist you can sub to in this thread if you like).

If you weren't around for a while then you might have missed the pinglist update but now we have on-site pinglists that anyone can create, but only you can add and remove yourself from them. It's much better than all the off site systems we had to use before.

If you want to sell on the AH, you're just gunna have to list at whatever you think a dragon is worth and hope someone sees it, lol. If you're not getting sales, start bumping the price down at whatever intervals you're comfortable with. I wouldn't recommend listing any of your dragons over 5 years old that way, though. If you look around the forums you'll likely find people who are eager to buy oldies!

if you want to get involved in Dom I suggest checking out the Dominance forums in your Flight. Ice is pretty big so their pushes are hard to ignore and I'm sure there's plenty of folks willing to help you out there.

For dragon pricing, I just price them at what I would pay for them. That’s usually between 18-22g/kt, but sometimes it glues up to 30ish, or even 50. Unless they have something that makes them more valuable to certain people, like a cool ID or whatever.

For example, XXX is all the same color, like cherry/cherry/cherry. XYX means the middle color is different, and can be anything (lapis/silver/lapis, or eggplant/fire/eggplant, etc). For example, it might have a raffle where ice members earn tickets by exalting dragons. Or it might have a public buy, where it buys dragons from anyone at slightly above market prices. These things all cost money, so in between pushes (or leading up to a push), the flight's dominance team might ask for donations. The donations will go in the flight's dominance "bank" to be spent when the push comes. Of course it's all optional, but if you enjoy dominance it can be fun to give back to the team!

Mine, for example, is currently set to the default Shadow banner. You can change yours in your Account Settings, all the way at the bottom, you'll see "Banner Location". The extra details are just signatures, which you can also change from your Account Settings. You'll see a section that says "Forum Signature" and you can put basically whatever you want in that box.
